Needs research. - Inquisition
Needs research. - Massacre
- both Perth, Australia metal bands that were active in 1990 (likely also earlier/later as well). In the Ultimatum 1990 demo inlay, it says "Check out original PERTH metal: Allegiance, Syndorome, Inquisition, Massacre." Allegiance and Syndrome (correct spelling) are listed on the site. The other two aren't.
The 2nd and 3rd pictures on Ultimatum's ReverbNation page shows a gig flyer with Inquisition: https://www.reverbnation.com/ultimatumperthwa . Syndrome is very obscure, but Allegiance should still be reachable ( https://www.facebook.com/allegianceresurrection/ ) if Ultimatum isn't, and their members might remember one or both of these bands. Ultimatum's drummer continues to promote his old bands and play metal, and would probably be the best person to contact for further info. There are some contact links on the right of his Bandcamp page:

Needs research. - Midas Knight
Location: Ohio
Genre: Probably heavy metal
Band member: Darren McGeorge (bass, https://www.facebook.com/darren.mcgeorge )
- they played a lot of metal shows at Bogart's in Cincinnati in the '80s/early '90s. A lot of them were with the band https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Aftershock/8703
There are a ton of posts where they're mentioned here:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/2525289 ... s%20knight
They recorded at least one song in the studio, and a 9-10 song live recording exists. Release info unknown.

Heraldika (Lithuania) - this one has a valid release (listed on discogs), but no samples.

Managed to find a live in studio video:

I'd certainly qualify it as "metal" judging by the 3 tracks they played. Is this enough to add them now?

From what I can gather, there's two bands in that video, the second being Viscera from Italy. Heraldika seems okay, but it would be nice to know if any of those tracks are on the release on Discogs.

Needs research. - Trevas
Genre: Raw Black Metal
Location: Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil

Likely kvlt bullshit, but might still be worth a shot. Just deleted their entry because the only "proof" was a fake bandcamp page.

Allegedly founded in 1990...

Supposedly released an album in 1996, bootlegged here:

The band Greyhaven in the research list (currently information only says "('80s)" in the post) was from Colorado, US. Two of the members were:
https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... derick/215
https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/Jay_Haven/905640
Band photo: https://imgur.com/a/LHsif09
I asked Jay about releases before, and he said that there are basement tapes. Didn't ask for specifics like if there were more than 10 copies given out, and am also not sure if they're the same band listed as Grey Haven in the research list that put out a tape in 1993. Jay Haven is on Facebook if anyone wants to ask for further information.

Also on the section of the list for bands that have been on it for over 5 years with no VR, there has been a band called Myriad (US) added: https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Myriad/3540509743 . Could be them. With nothing else to go on, this is safe to remove imo.

Regarding Darkened Dreams from the same list, https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... glo/259276 was in a melodic black/death metal band by that name, based in or around Phoenix, Arizona. They started playing shows in 2001. Release info unknown, but he could be contacted on Facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/jchunglo

Korgus (South America) could be a typo of Korzus: https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Korzus/1062

Euphoria (Sweden) probably refers to this band: https://www.discogs.com/artist/6074640-Euphoria-51
2 releases (one listed as heavy metal), with band member names at the link above.
2 members are now in https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Ev ... 3540487474
Mentioned on some websites, mostly vague references:
https://www.metal.it/group.aspx/15709/evermore/
https://www.ever-metal.com/2021/06/09/e ... -evermore/

Information found for Screaming Underwater (listed there as Screamingunderwater) - Ohio band, circa 2002. Members, etc. here:
https://rateyourmusic.com/artist/screaming_underwater - they were posted here by a former member that might be able to be contacted for samples or further information: https://rateyourmusic.com/~soudou
Of the 5 listed entries, 4 are unofficial and one is listed as official, format CD-R: "Screams from the Basement" EP (2002; track listing: Killing Me, The Act Of / The Legend of the Weeping Willow / Break)
Copyright Encyclopedia entry: http://www.copyrightencyclopedia.com/ex ... ulus-to-2/

Tortured Dogs - Must be referring to the listed band Tortured Dog. Their name even got listed with Dogs (plural) on at least one gig flyer: https://imgur.com/a/4QIa7M1 . Nothing but horror stories about mistreated animals to be found on Google. Best to remove.

Released one 7 inch single in 1980 entitled "Warrior Women" / "Last Chance". AZ recommended finding the A-side for further consideration, so if anyone could help, that'd be fantastic!

Time for look through the italian list.
Agony and Ecstasy has a facebook, soundcloud, and youtube. Based on a picture from their facebook, it looks like they put at least one album on CD. Sounds like heavy metal.

BlackRiffSmash: Has a facebook, soundcloud, youtube. Sounds like their second album could pass as acceptable hard rock/heavy metal. The tricky part is the validity. I can't find anyplace to download the albums but if you read their bio on soundcloud, it looks like both were available for download on itunes or from their site, but have since been de-listed and their website no longer available.

Blind Demon: This band became the metal/rock band Sabotage in 1982, after being known as blind demon in 1981. There's a single forum post asking about a demo released under this name, but nothing indicates to me that it exists besides the question being asked. i think it's unlikely the band put anything out under this name before changing.

Bringer of War contributed a cover to an Omen tribute album. Can't find anything else, and it's entirely possible this was the band's only work.

Forgotten Sons: I think this is the band in the list, but with a name this generic it could be another band. Not metal based on how the band describes themselves and live performances.

The vocalist says the name of the second track on live - "Bėgantys Nuo Savęs", which is also on the split. There's what sounds like a studio version of this track here as well. The third track has a lot of "Demonų" in lyrics, which might correspond to "Demonų Kapinės" on split, but it's hard to say...

Hetero (Estonia) - also goes by Хетеро, especially pre Soviet collapse.

Has a release on discogs compiling tracks going back to 1977.

Some tracks from the album are on youtube:
Mustem Kui Must
Lend
Blind Man's Bride
Tuhjus

I don't think it qualifies as metal...

Bizarre (Estonia) - unless there are two bands with this name from Estonia, they play shoegaze.

T-Klaas (Estonia) - probably not metal enough (see here and here).

Non Stop (Lithuania) - ditto (see here and here).

Plentas (Lithuania) - sounds like Ария singing in Lithuanian, so they should qualify. Will search for releases later if so.

T.F.U. (Lithuania) - hard rock.

Pilgrim (Lithuania) is most likely russian-singing "Пилигрим". They are hard rock.

Tiltas (Lithuania) - looks like it's them here; rock.

Autodafe (Lithuania) = Аутодафе - sounds like hard rock.

Both are called The Persecuted.

Радио Австралия (Russia) is rock.

Сон Серебра (Russia) is metal, but doesn't seem to have valid releases. On the band vk page they say they will send their EP on CD on request, but no title or pictures to be found.

Старая Школа (Russia) - metal. Their dvmusic page lists two "albums" which seem to be live recordings. Same story, the page owner says he "will send CD or DVD on request".

Секта Kidz (Russia) - I'm not sure about style, never listen to such stuff (check out here). Seem to have multiple self-released CDs on discogs.

Ткани Тела (Russia) - has an online release, sounds metal-ish... Couldn't find valid releases so far.

Треустье (Russia) - dark folk, not metal.

Солярис, Резонанс, ДВР, Й, Джон Атом, Еммануил (Russia) are all projects related to a dude named Джон Солярис, and they are all very far from metal. There are some samples (acoustic rock), and after reading the lengthy band history it is abundantly clear that none of these projects are (were) metal-related.

Tri-Ryche (Singapore): they are already listed here but with no personal page:

formed in 1994, they have 1 song ("The Working Man") on "Menagerie" Compilation CD 1997 (Mouse Records, Singapore), plus these 2 songs ("Lies", "Nightmares") on "Myx Metal Assault Vol. 1" (Myx Records, 1998) and the cover "Taming Sari" on "Tribute to Rusty Blade" CD (Life Records, 1999)

There is also Manifest (already in the search list) in the same split, who also released "Manifest" Demo 1996 and "Of Fear and Pain" Tape Ep 1996 but - unleass the first S/T demo 1996 is metal (in this link from a 1997 compilation, they are described as a mix of Sepultura, Machine Head, Slayer, Black Sabbath), the rest is new metal/crossover:

The White Mercury (referred to above as White Knight) demo mentioned in the article at HMR isn't an official release. The original post has the 'zine text translated in spoiler brackets. ..."the group has sent me a demo, this demo is an extremely scrapped version of 4 of their tracks, and is only intended for a singer who might be interested." They're on the research list in case they ended up recording and releasing later, or with the band that some were in prior, Sinful Excess. Contacting one of the members would likely be the only way to find out.

Red Steel (Italy) can be removed. It became available on Heavy Metal Rarities today, and sounds a little bit more on the rock side than metal to me, but have alerted the 'to be submitted' thread so that if someone feels otherwise it can be submitted. No further research required for them.

The Persecuted can be removed. Both the Texas, US and Canadian bands (combined together in one post under Canada location in this thread) are more punk than metal.
US (please blacklist)

Is it enough (a 6-way compilation appearance) to submit the band?

I've wiped all entries from the Seattle list.
