Regarding D'Gruve: I found an article, which is most probably about the demo band, since I was searching directly for D'Gruve Kill Your Gods on google. The problem is, that it won't let me access the site, because I am from an EU country. Could an user, who is not from Europe, please look at that article and post the content here? Thanks. https://www.nwitimes.com/uncategorized/ ... 0fd0d.html

The article is just about how they were influenced by Pantera, their lyrics, and that they were recording a demo. Nothing about it being released.

All hail the VPN.
Here's the full article:

Local scene. Valparaio's D'Gruve plays heavy music with a
Tom Lounges Apr 21, 1996

"We'd used to like Pantera a lot until we really started paying attention
to the lyrics," said drummer Jay Will of the heavy metal Christian band D'Gruve.
A strong Pantera influence can still be heard in the gut-crunching guitar
style of Josh McCormak, who co-authors most of the Valparaiso-based band's
original music along with his vocalist brother Jerry McCormack.
Only instead of singing about "Cemetery Gates" and "Cowboys From Hell" like
Pantera, the D'Gruve boys look to the heavens for lyrical inspiration on songs
like "Oh God," "I Need You" and "Strength To Rise."
The McCormacks believe they can spread a positive message in the same manner
that many feel negative messages reach teens - through rock 'n' roll.
In April 1991, the brothers invited Will and the first of many bass players
to join their rock 'n' roll band to perform at Christian youth groups' rallies.
In doing so, the seed that eventually begat D'Gruve was planted.
"We started playing together to try and get the message across to kids that
there is nothing boring about Christianity and that being a Christian is
actually cool," Will said. "We were trying to show them that Christians can
have as much fun with rock 'n' roll as anyone else, plus we get an extra gift -
eternal life with Jesus Christ."
Having "fun" and seeing the positive message of their music touch lives
eventually prompted the band to look outside of their own Christian turf.
While performing at churches enabled the band to help recharge and challenge
sagging souls, they realized most of their audiences already shared their
strong spiritual beliefs.
"We saw a need to minister to people who didn't already know God," Will
said. Focused upon reaching the unsaved souls of the area, D'Gruve set forth
into a dark wilderness of whiskey, wine and wanton ways.
"We decided to play in the local bars, because that's where the message
really needs to be heard," Will said. "We thought we could reach people with a
Christian message presented in a secular-style of music. We are reaching out to
the kids the traditional churches can't get to. Kids who think of church as a
boring place where a guy in a suit and tie will beat the Bible over their head."
In 1993, the dedicated trio met Dave Wallace, a bassist who shared their
collective vision. He has been responsible for the band's low-end groove and
tribal rhythms ever since.
D'Gruve has been preaching from a pulpit of heavy metal in such unlikely
venues as The Thirsty Whale, J.J. Kelley's and Smiler Coogan's.
"At first I thought it would be a tough road," Will said, "but people really
seem to enjoy our show."
After storming the stage and assaulting ears with a barrage of power chords
and heavy groove rhythms, Jerry McCormack takes a breather and speaks to the
audience about their songs. Since the songs are about God, he talks about the
influence and effect He has had on the members of the band. The singer's sermon
is slipped in smoothly and is digested well by the sea of sweating music fans.
While the D'Gruve sound is heavy and loud, their vocals are clear and often
incorporate Beatles-esque harmonies.
"What's the point of having a message in your music if nobody can understand
it?" queried Will.
Their messages are varied - from promiscuity ("Mr. Plum's Love Tribe") to
giving your whole self to Jesus and not hedging on your Christian commitment
("Sometimes, Someday") to the wrath of God ("I Am") to losing one's faith ("My
God").
Marketing their heavenly message is the next step. Although they've had
nibbles from such noted national Christian recording labels as Rex, Star Song
and Pachyderm, D'Gruve has opted to release their music themselves.
The band is in the process of releasing a limited-edition, five-song
cassette titled "Kill Your Gods."
The demo tape is merely a means of testing the commercial waters before
releasing their full-length debut album in this summer.
Produced by Bob Ducat at Valparaiso's Watchman Recording Studio, the band
plans to offer it to fans on both CD and cassette.
Pleased to see their audience growing with every show, the members of
D'Gruve believe their timing is right.
"With everything that is going on in the world today, people are looking for
positive things in their lives," Will said. "We try to be the vehicle that
brings it to them. Every rock band is preaching something with the music. Some
preach to 'party hearty.' Bands like U2 and Rage Against The Machine preach
about politics. Other preach about environment or whatever ... Our band
preaches just one thing - God."
D'Gruve is scheduled to play a 7 p.m., all-ages show Saturday at the
American Legion Hall, 4 Monroe St., Valparaiso. Opening the show will be sets
by Gadfly and Alison's Mailbox. Admission is $5.
n Tom Lounges' Local Scene column appears Sundays in The Times.

As Stormy pointed out, there's not much info given, but combined with the EBay link the sentence "The band is in the process of releasing a limited-edition, five-song
cassette titled "Kill Your Gods."" is enough to at least confirm that the demo was publicly released.

I gues, that the comparison to Pantera done by the author and the band in the article won't be enough as aproof of metalness and you will need some samples, then?

In any case, bight tthaks to both of you for posting the infos here. Now we also know the names of some members and the location of the band.

Hm, yeah. Could be valid groove metal or they just namedropped them because they're famous and it some sort of heavy, groovy mallcore/crossover/something.

That's obviously valid, if that's what you mean. If someone is willing to drop $35 USD on it, then go for it I guess. Someone could possibly ask the seller if they'd be willing to provide us with some samples instead though.

Hmm they don't have those old zines archived, sadly, but I was lucky to get a scan of that one review (Crown of Thorns) from one of their writers, but they aren't very detailed in general so I doubt the reviews are enough to get them accepted. But since they always include a way to order it at the end of the reviews I'd say it's safe to assume that everything they reviewed was publicly available. So keep bringing that up. I don't really want to annoy them with dozens of request, though ;-)

Hey people, there was a Russian atmospheric black metal band with acceptable riffs that I can't find right now, this was obscure as a catacomb..The bandcamp's page was ALL green with a forest on the cd (no logo, just the woods) everything was in Russian. (I know there's not much help by now, but I'm searching)
I made an ebay account so I can contact sellers but the page is down... Bah, what a piece of mud.
PD: I'm searching for more information of the bands above, I'll keep in touch when/if the seller responds me.

The band has rapparently just released the digital single on Bandcamp and two more streaming digital single songs on Youtube. They are, of course , not valid releases, so it is the best to wait for future, more substantial releases by this band. Generally, it does not have much sense to post here bands, which do not have at least some hints or evidence, that they might have a valid release, physical or digital: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dk3jKzNupyQ

Yeah, this thread is for obscure bands with evidence/clear hints of/towards an acceptable release that lack definitive proof for its existence/distribution and/or samples. It's not for bandcamp/soundcloud/youtube singles of bands you want to hear more of...

Might be best to contact those guys before posting here, so you can sort them out rather quickly or at least gain more info on a release that has happened to either submit or provide us with something substantial to go with/search for. ;)

Needs research. - Win Field
country: Japan
Genre : Heavy metal/Hard Rock

Win Field was the first known band of now famous guitarist Nozomu Wakai. He played in the band under the stage name Nozom. I need samples from at least one whole of their releases, at best the Giant Step album, since it is labelled as "heavy metal/hard rock at Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/Win-Field-Giant ... e/13363522
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rheMbijTkpI
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lvo7H8fSALk

Borderline HM/HR. Could be metal enough, though. But given the fact that it's only owned by 1 on discogs, it needs more proof on the distribution/release side of things before submitting.
Seems like someone's selling it here:
https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k166029018
but a) there's really no info on what he actually sells (CD, download,...?)
and b) no picture included

The win Field album is still sold here and since a link to tthis page was the proof, that got the Japanese band Diabolica accepted, I see no reason, why this should not serve the same purpose. I have already reported the link in my submssion in the queue: https://vk.gy/releases/win-field/18676/giant-step/

No release. - Darkspawn
Spoiler: show
Genre: (Symphonic/Atmospheric) Black Metal/Ambient
Location: Baia Mare, Romania

Discography taken from facebook:
Quote:
DEMO Album "Eternal Darkness"
EP Album "The Battle For Glory"
Full-Lenght Album "A Strange World"
Soon: Full Lenght Album "Sumbru"

The only release with proof of a public release (CD) is the demo "Eternal Darkness" which consists of ambient and some guitar patterns in-between. Not really metal at all.
There's one song of the "The Battle for Glory" EP on Youtube which is ambient.
They do have 2 of the 10 songs from "A Strange World" on Facebook and that seems to be mostly (shitty) black metal. There's just nothing about the release.
Sumbru has only been announced by showing the artwork and tracklist.

Needs more samples and proof for a valid release for the "A Strange World" album (and maybe the "The Battle for Glory" EP).

Some links:
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Darkspawn-116049821836818/
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUh5D0 ... 3adauHLxzQ
Used to have a Myspace page, but I wasn't able to revive that...

Tracklists:
"Eternal Darkness":
1.Intro-Eternal Darkness
2.Darkness
3.Fullmoon
4.Outro-The Dark Tree

"The Battle for Glory":
1.A March Of Revenge
2.Sword Of Rain
3.Fog After War

"A Strange World":
1.Intro-No Stars Tonight
2.Twilight
3.Cea Din Urma Zi
4.Avant In Adanc
5.Between The Mountains
6.Winter
7.Pierdut In Umbra Intunericului
8.The Unknown Way
9.Northern Horns
10.Dincolo De Vazduh

"Sumbru":
1.Darkspawn-Invaluit In Ceata
2.In Coasta Padurii
3.Bunget
4.Al Noptii Vuiet
5.Plecaciune
6.In Die Nacht
7.Curse Of The Pagan Winter
8.Intunecat

Still lacks definitive proof that it's metal, sadly.
Also I think that picture is already linked to the EBay auction that lead to their inclusion in this thread, but still nice to have it
