Heavy Metal? from Japan.
Former name of BomberfetT.
Seems like they released a demo in 2009, but they don't mention it on their pages (or I missed it?)
Samples and proof of release needed.

It's in their bio here: http://artist-profile.jp/artist/bomberfett/

Fourth line down reads Fall 2009 D.O.D.'s first demo 'The Tower of Babel' released.

It can also be seen on an archived version of their web page: https://web.archive.org/web/20150811005 ... o.html#top

That is fantastic and a good job. thank you very much, now only to get one more sample song from them.
I have noticed, that you can translate Japanese text , that's great an I have one request for you in that regard. Would you please be so kind and translate the infor from this Japanese info page on Japanese power metal band Glace, of course when you have time? I have noticed, that there is info about their release, but unfortunately cannot understand Japanese. Thanks. https://www22.big.or.jp/~yunisan/vi/glace.html

I've seen that site before and they have a fairly standard layout. Top bit lists each member by instrument/name then each band they were in before and after the band in question. Plus a similar line for their regular support bassist in this case.

Added. - Double Edged / Doubled Edged?
Spoiler: show
Genre: Heavy/Power Metal
Location: Little rock, arkansas
Lyrics: Christianity

Released a demo cassette with seven songs. Proof of valid release, more samples and possibly also correct song titles are needed, since all the song titles in the video are just guessed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WUhA85lge0

Kent Byers
(others?)

Side 1:

Bloody Promises Made
Eternal Life
Devil Destroyers
You Can Go On

Side 2:

Is Anybody Listening?
Early Grave
Trouble

Another demo that is a bit of a mystery. All I have about this one is the information written on it in the picture above. Kent Byers may be a part of the band, or he might be a manager. The style is traditional/power metal that is played competently. The recording is demo quality, but still listenable. There is nothing particularly ground breaking about this demo, but I am surprised that they were able to put together 7 songs and have nothing online anywhere today. The tape sounds like a full band that played live to tape, so I am assuming there are multiple people involved – but sometimes these are also one person projects. You never know. The vocals and guitars hit a few snags here and there, but then nail some difficult parts in other places as well – so I assume it is just the limitations of a one shot recording situation (your favorite bands clean up a lot in studio if you weren’t aware). The tape itself is as low budget as you can get – the 5th track (the one I called “Is Anybody Listening?”) actually got cut off by the end of side 1, so they just restarted it on the beginning of side two.

Given the label and their "looks", I'd say grindcore; however, they could be hardcore or crossover for all I know. I still can't get myspace music to play, so this one's for those who can.

Actually, someone emailed the link to me. The video predates my original post, but it didn't turn up back then when I did the search.

Regarding Archangel: The demo was released in 1989 and was reviewed in Heaven's Metal magazine. It is certainly the band in question, since they have also reviewed Zadox at approximately the same period in time: http://cmnexus.org/magazines/HM/1989/page1

Added. - Soulhaven
female-fronted Progressive/Power Metal from athens, greece.

they released an EP, "Path Of Inner Serenity", in 2014.

then, they had a change of heart, pulled it down from everywhere and split-up :/

you can still stream it, but not purchase it:

https://soundcloud.com/soulhavenofficialgr

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... 7O0Pv5iRr-

the EP was reviewed in the greek metal hammer. I don't have the issue anymore, and probably never will again, but if anyone wants to play scavenger, it was the issue that featured Major Denial, for their debut EP as well. probably late 2014/early 2015.

I've also seen some more reviews, and even download links for the EP on "that kind" of sites...

a friend of mine contacted the band at some point, and he told me they were "unresponsive".

fb page: https://www.facebook.com/soulhavenofficialgr/

I subbed the band and it got rejected with just a link to this thread, so I'm not sure it's acceptable if smn finds more proof for the release of the EP :/

also, that's my first post in this thread, so pardon me if I effed up. thanks, and thanks in advance if you come up with sthg. go ahead and re-submit the band if you do :)

Needs research. - Bethlehem Steele
Genre : Heavy Metal?
Location: USA
Lyrics: Christianity?

Bethlehem Steele released one demo tape, in 1989 and was reviewed in Heaven's Metal magazine in July 1989 issue. I believe, that it could be very well the same band, which has appared on the Metal Meltdown Volume One compilation album in 1985. Sound Samples and more infos about the demo and the band are neede, possible also the HM magazine review, if anyone has the access to it. It would be also great, if somebody could confirm, that the band on the compilation album and the band with the demo release are in fact the same band.

There's a fairly basic bio, which agrees with Rob M's here: https://vk.gy/artists/eve-1996/
(Note: There's at least two other bands with the same name at the site, but this is the one in the original video)
Lists the two demo tapes and track lists but not the covers, though I found a copy of the named demo (with pic) for sale here: http://genka-market.jp/?cn=100125&shc=10024052

Thanks Bill again for your great work. Aquestion to the mods, since this was my rejected submission: Could Eve be resubmitted now, that we have proof of physical release and confirmation of the bio? I think the song at youtube is convincingly power metal based.

Given that the demo that is for sale there (second hand, I assume) has "NOT FOR SALE" written right on the front artwork, I'd love to have a bit of info regarding a public release. Looks a bit sketchy, more like a promo thing that wasn't meant to get to the public.

The Japanese describes it as a 'haifu' (distribution) demo tape which will mean it was given away 'free' to fans who bought tickets and attended one of their live shows (i.e. included in the ticket price). Sometimes they're limited in number (e.g. 100 copies) so they work on a "first come, first served" basis. Not sure if that's exactly within the rules for a release at MA?

Also found a copy of their first demo for sale here at a HM/HR VK shopping site if that helps though: http://aduma8.shop-pro.jp/?pid=49149404
Suspect this one wasn't a freebie as its a bit longer (4 songs) and isn't marked 'not for sale'.

Suspect this one wasn't a freebie as its a bit longer (4 songs) and isn't marked 'not for sale'.

worth getting another look in the queue then. Seems fine to me.

On an unrelated note: Since Enthralled (Swe) were recently accepted, could they be please removed from the list?

Regarding Teen Spirits: The name of the band is actually Teen Sprits, not Spirits, since it is listed so in the video and on the Anarchist records III compilation, so it would be nice, if this could get corrected. The band had also aanother song on that compilation" melody" so if somebody has the entire compilation and could upload this song, I would be really grateful. Regarding Eroticism : Iam posting a link to the entire Shikkoku No Symphony III compilation, because it features the Eroticism song "Dead Line", which is not on the Rob M channel, so the mods can listen to it: http://jp-rock.blogspot.com/2018/10/shi ... 99504.html

Needs research. - Vahagn
Genre: Pagan Black Metal
Location: Yerevan, Armenia
Members: Rudolf Kalousdian - All instruments

According to his facebook bio he released a full-length called "Songs of the Armen" in 2007 and a promo single "Arevi, Kraki ev Kaytzi Astvatz"/ "God of Sun, Fire and Thunder" in 2006.
The latter can still be found on Youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbWX-a7mWfI

Bio mentioning the album: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php? ... 5501135464
Archive of Myspace announcing the album: https://web.archive.org/web/20080925085 ... vahagnband

Needs proof for that full-length, a few more samples might not hurt, too, but I think the single is straight-forward enough.

The following Japanese bands were recently submitted to the queue, based around the same Youtube channel. There is always a bio provided, but I have no idea if it's trustworthy and how it's sourced. Needs some sleuthing to get a better picture (and more samples in many cases).

Needs research. - Hot Coke https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YF6_RfSGeCk

[edited by PaganiusI on Oct 8th, 2018]

Found two old web pages for this one (mostly Japanese):
First page: http://www.ask.ne.jp/~prnmania/hotcoke.html
Later page: http://www.page.sannet.ne.jp/ryusuke-s/hotcoke.html

Had a brief look around, and it includes first demo CD-R track list here: https://web.archive.org/web/20001210174 ... tcoke.html but picture and sound sample links are broken unfortunately. I have the Slu[gd]e Compilation mentioned, but it just includes the song on Rob's video, so its not much help if you still need more samples.

Simply excellent , great work again. It is only my personal opnion and I don't know, if the mods would agree with it, but I would propose aan amount of extra points for you, if you will be able to find some useful info for all Japanese bands in this post, since the info is very , very hard to obtain.

Regarding Eroticism again: I have listened to that V/A compilation and the second Eroticism song on it "Dead Line" is not metal at all, but some sort of gothic rock. The album version of that song on Youtube has a much better sond quality and it is now more evident to me , that the song combines some thrash riffing with strange hardcore parts with distorted vocals. The conclusion is , that the band is most probably not predominantly metal , to it scomes, that the album contains only bands that play gothic rock or punk or a combinatio of the two styles (except for one eighties sounding hard rock song). So the band has most likely no consistently metal album and I would propose their removal from the list.

Needs research. - Veritas
Genre: Death/Gothic/Doom Metal
Location: Sangão, Santa Catarina, Brazil ?

Released the demo "Pura Veritas".
https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Veritas/51835

There is 0 info on this page aside from the location and the demo name and HellKnight has serious doubts they ever existed. He's very well connected to the local scene and no one knows anything about this band or has ever heard of them, so I thought instead of straight out deleting it, it's best the bring them up here.
Given the age of the submission, it's not unlikely it was some Myspace band or something that never was connected to the scene or something else was wrong with the submission and went through unnoticed. Who knows.
