Thanks for cleaning up the band list, Paganiusi. The Brazilian band Blood Warrior can also be removed, since it has been accepted today. Also, I have troubles straming stuff from Bandcamp, so a moderator should probably evaluate the stuff on the Bandcamp page of mark Kozik, since iI am convinced, that he is the musician in question and somehow doubt, that the music is predominantly metal, of course when you have time.

That Mark Kozik on Bandcamp sure isn't metal, judging by the songs I listened to.
If we can confirm that he's the one we're looking for, I guess we could scratch it off the list?

Well, according to his biography, he was born in 1967, which would match a first demo release in 1993. He also says on his Bandcamp page , that he is an amateur musician, who has regular daily job. He also lives in Dryden , Michagan, according to his Facebook page and is a christian. These are all strong hints, that he is the same guy. Please, see: https://www.google.com/search?source=hp ... rZ5cW505-g

Hi dudes!

My band - https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Rattler/3540455260
My profile - https://www.metal-archives.com/users/klausader

Your moderator - https://www.metal-archives.com/users/0th

His 4th address to me - http://prntscr.com/obq323

The question is why does this moderator prevent me from filling in information on my own group, pointing to me?
Who knows the story of their own group. I, or he?
Please speak out.
Sincerely, Rattler Group Manager

Cheers from Ukraine \m/

That's obviously the worst thread in which you could've posted that, honestly...

And you published it on Bandcamp way after 2013, we go with what actually happened. It's not unusual for bands to set a false release date to bandcamp (like the original date for stuff that was released in the 90s which is impossible to be released on bandcamp back then).

Can you prove to us that it was released in 2013 on a different platform?

Needs research. - Koldt
Genre: Funeral Doom/Death Metal
Status: Unknown
Country: Spain
Location: Barcelona, Catalonia
Lyrical themes: ?
Year of formation: ?
Years active: ?
Label: Independent

Supposedly this solo project released a demo called "Only Ashes Will Remains..." in 2010, I need VR proof and audiofiles from said demo.

Last known lineup:
Morke - All instruments, Vocals (?-?)

Samples found apart:

There's a total of 4 tracks on their Myspace.

Looking at their Myspace profile from Mid 2010, they just uploaded a demo songs called "Empty Life"
https://web.archive.org/web/20100629000 ... /koldtdoom

No trace of a supposed demo that was released that year.

Also that youtube description of Melangia says "This is our second demo, Melangia"...suggesting that it's just that one song?

What's your source for the "Only Ashes Will Remains" demo?

Private releases, hand to hand?

Don't forget to relate the band to Aeternal Mortuary. Their sole member is:

This biography indicates that the EP was recorded in 2013. However, what we are asking for is that the album was released in that year.

How was this album released on 2013? On what platform? Was it uploaded to a site for digital distribution? Was a physical release made and sold somewhere? Is this documented anywhere other than the band's own biography? What we require, in order to document a release date, is proof that it was distributed to the public at that time.

This mini album was recorded in the summer of 2013. The exact date coincides with the moment when the vocalist of the band Gennady distributed this album on SondCloud & in his group on Facebook.
I provide you personally to find the exact release date (which I have already indicated THREE times on this site), since you do not believe me and your colleague constantly for some reason corrects the year of publication from 2013 to 2019.
All references to the profiles of our team have long been listed here https://www.metal-archives.com/link/aja ... 3540455260

Good luck, Andrey

The Soundcloud release is Stream-only and therefore NOT a valid release by our standards. Digital releases must be available for FULL download. The first digital version that is available for download seems to be the Bandcamp release and should therefore be the one listed here (INCLUDING release date). In addition to that Soundcloud says the songs were uploaded 3 years ago, which would be 2015/2016....

Same goes for your Demo 2012 which might need to be deleted aswell.

Spoiler: show
Location : Osaka, Japan
Genre: Heavy Metal (?)
Years active: 2001-2005
Status : Split-up
Releases : Three numbered demo CD-R's in 2001, 2002 & 2005 & two compilation appearances:
"Pile Of Corpses / Fall Down To Hell" on "The Red Hot Burning Hell Vol.1" (Lights Out Records, 2000)
"Creature/Rest in Peace" on "Metal Justice" (Metal Justice, 2000)

I have the four songs from the compilations but need samples specifically from the demos, as they're the only valid releases The band did actually provide samples at their old web page here:

https://web.archive.org/web/20031015143 ... /opus.html

And later, at a newer web page here:

https://web.archive.org/web/20050903234 ... /audio.htm

But the links appear dead, broken or I haven't the correct software installed.

Got a last.fm profile that gives Sweden as the band's location.
https://www.last.fm/music/Cruelentus
The info was added by the guy who also uploaded the songs.

There's a slim chance this band is somehow related to this one:
https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Skymning/7122
Since that's the only other band featured on that guy's youtube chanel.

Yet another old submission that was left rotting for 6 years.

Needs research. - Ett Lik
Genre: Black Metal?
Location: Sweden?

Released the single "Violence in E Minor" in 2012. Proof is good, given that it is on Discogs (with owners and a sale history) and there are pictures of the tape online.

All that's missing is the actual music.

Added. - Zipang
Spoiler: show
Country: Japan
Genre: Power/Speed Metal?
The band was previously named Pure aand Puer, before changing name to Zipang. To my surprise, they seem to play metal as Zipang, unlike the two previous incarnations of the band. The most prominent member of the band was the drummer Ken2, who later went to Volcano. I would need samples from their only full length album Back To No Fear to confirm, that it is consequently metal.
sample: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8YQycA8Lxg
https://www.discogs.com/Zipang-%E5%A4%A ... e/13850066
https://puresound.co.jp/user_data/sp_ar ... ipang&bck=

I have already found a video with three other songs from the album, bit I can't get it to play, so I would like also to know, if any of you could play and review it: https://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm12011370

By the way, I don't know if I'm authorized to post this but, if you need anything related to underground french metal scene, I can dig out informations, and try to buy/contact releases from here. So if anyone knows by name a french metal band which is obscure with not a lot of informations, I may be able to make work my contacts!

Well, from our point of view, you're very authorized to post this here. Might come in handy! ;)
We currently have 3 French bands in need of further research if you want to start some digging :)

Needs research. - Lesion
Genre: Death/Thrash Metal?
Location: Oxnard, California
Known members: Tommy Savage - Bass; Tony Swars - Drums

Supposedly released a demo tape in 1994 by Open Wound Music. All I got is a photo and the info the original submitter provided

Wounds of the World
1. Demented Dimension
2. Brutality of Man
3. Civilized Hell
4. Death March

Photo: https://i1323.photobucket.com/albums/u5 ... 78c1c3.jpg

The demo tape might look sketchy at first, but the submitter provided similar photographic proof in all his submissions, 4 of which were accepted because there also was a bandcamp page or something. So I'm fairly certain that it's a real release, BUT some more info would be highly appreciated and I couldn't find any samples.

This seems to be a stream of the full album:

And it plays for me, just takes ages to load. But it's alread after midnight here, so I'll check it after I woke up.

Added. - Wendigo
Spoiler: show
Genre: Heavy/Thrash Metal
Country : Finland
Audio : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eZO6vbd4fA

We just need a "proof of release" since the audio has been uploaded. It was found on HMR, but not sure.

(Spooky): (Axel666MoWi): Regarding Wendigo, I talked to drummer Janne Hyrkäs on Facebook and PM'd you a screenshot of our conversation where when asked about the release and distribution of tapes, he said "we used to copy demos cassette to cassette, like thirty years ago..." and that they gave tapes to people "hand to hand." So, they were technically distributed but were homemade tapes and there wasn't a particular "pressing of 100" made all at once, or anything like that. Between the Soundcloud and other sites, I think they could be added. Would be good to get another mod's opinion on the distribution, but in the '80s/early '90s it was more common for DIY bands without much of a budget to record and distribute their tapes to people as a legitimate release.

PS : for "Circle's end" I sent a message to one of the old member, let's see if he still has a copy of this, and I'll ask to have the unlisted releases of Sendsirk too. Well, Idk if my posts are well made but here we are.

3. Cainite Part 1 & 2
4. Fils De Caien
5. Cainite

7. War Spirit

Side Omega:
9. Apocalypse With Cain
10. Warspirit

This is pre-Aryos, so I don't doubt it being black metal. The discogs page however lists it as unofficial. The page is a mess, though. The owner of the label is the second contributor, Saturn156, who created the mess with vandalism and is also a known bootlegger. Aryos's facebook doesn't mention this release, either. It's probably unofficial or at least disputed, which would explain the vandalism, but might be worth looking into.

It exists at least:

Ahah, just saw that, this is really funny, this label is the past name of my actual label! I sent them a message, I'll keep you up.
Just for the "story", Hypogea Maleficare, was ran by two guys, one day, one of them has stolen a huge part of the "distro" (don't even know if this word is english, sorry). Then, the other guy decided to create Hypogea Invictus, on the ashes of HM. He his someone we can trust in, I'm waiting for his answer.

Released the demo "Different Shades of Black", 1997.

The second incarnation of the band, Sendsirk, is already listed here on MA. Prior to the name change in 1999, they released the Different Shades of Black demo. A cursory Googling did not turn up anyone on the album, but a previous report on the Sendsrik page did include this promo blurb about the 1997 demo.

So, I talked with "Stéphane" he'll send me some audios. I have a couple of miscelaneous informations (I drop them here, do what you want with them).
- It was a college band.
- They changed name due to another band called "Circle's end"

They released : - an untitled demo with 4 tracks : https://www.discogs.com/fr/Circles-End- ... e/11565444
- a demo called "Different Shades of Black" composed of 5 tracks with one track appearing on the compilation "metal session"

Idk what is "metal session", but if I don't get any tracks from Circle's end, we'll have to find this compil.

Edit 1 : Here is the "metal sessions" in question : https://www.discogs.com/fr/Various-Meta ... se/5971210
Circle's end is featured with the track : "A magical world" 05:00.

Edit 2 : And finally, I found an audio! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGd96NE-PR4

I have already mentioned it earlier, but the band CirCircle's End has already been submitted and is currently pending in the queue, awaiting a review. You can report the info , which you have gathered, directly there and support the submission in this way, I did the same with the Japanese band Kitsunebi and it got accepted later on. you will also get at least a pont for your efforts in ththis way. Regarding Forlorn (bm - France), I got my answers. So "Saturn" released this after the stealing of the label's merch, at this time he was making bootlegs with super limited copies (don't know how many). Before that he talked a lot about Forlorn, but as it was released after the internal problems, the tape from Fornolrn is 80% bootleg. However, I sent a message to Aryos, to confirm it, but no answer yet.

----------------------------------------------------------

Aryos told me "It's not official but not unofficial too [...] I gave them the authorisation to produce it, it's half official, but for many reasons it can't be fully official".

It's not helping a lot, the band itself is not sure about the authenticity of this release by Hypogea Maleficare. However he told me that official tapes of rehearsals were made. Nothing more.

Needs research. - The Aftermath (UK), not to be confused with the band of the same name already on the archives, or at least another band I know of (same country/same name/very similar style)...

rejected with the following message: "Was this ever released officially? Seems like this could have been a private release, given that this album appears to be a promo. Maybe a band for the research thread?"

discogs: https://www.discogs.com/The-Aftermath-S ... e/13767925

youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCFh5AqlCEE

bio on some kind of wayback machine website which claims they had an extensive discog: http://www.spanglefish.com/theaftermath/index.asp

Will clean up the new posts today.

As for Forlorn, I don't think that release is acceptable since the authenticity is disputed. But if they released official tapes of rehearsals, the band might still be acceptable as a whole if we can find proof for their existence (and samples).

While I'm posting anyway, here's a new band for research.

Rough/makeshift digital demo. - Lips of Venom
Spoiler: show
Genre: Heavy/Power Metal
Location: Riverside, California (USA)
Members: Johnny Hart (guitars), Elexus Valentine (guitars), Big Daddy

Have at some point released an demo called "Synthetic Skin" at ...some point in time. The submitter gave 2005 as a release year, but since he was banned long time ago, I wouldn't trust his info. He also provided this as the tracklist:
1. Prelude 03:35
2. Dead Of The Night 04:31
3. Synthetic Skin 03:54
4. 6th Sense 03:32
5. Devil's Playmate 04:44
6. Fallen Angel 04:21
7. Overture No. 1 04:02
Which again, I wouldn't trust.

However their page over at PureVolume had this release listed:
https://web.archive.org/web/20180429131 ... ipsofvenom
https://web.archive.org/web/20180501034 ... hetic+Skin

but with neither release date nor tracklist given, probably because PureVolume nuked all their hosted music last year or so. There are links to iTunes and Amazon, neither of them is working and I don't know whether they did work at some point or are just there by default.

There is one sample online which is a demo version of their song "Devil's Playmate" over here
http://indiemusicpeople.com/artist.aspx?ID=33541 -> Player: http://indiemusicpeople.com/iac_test2_d ... 541_Single
and here:
https://www.bandmix.com/chunky-lover/

Other links that didn't lead anywhere but have a few more songs listed (which don't play for me):
https://myspace.com/ourlipsarevenom
https://myspace.com/lipsofvenomband

Needs further proof of VR and a few more samples might not hurt either.

Update: The band was resubmitted in 2017 and Zodi was able to download the songs from PureVolume, therefore it's a valid release and based on that submission the tracklist is confirmed. Again, the release year is listed as 2005 so that's probably how it was listed on PureVolume until they nuked their data. Might be true too, since PureVolume started operating in 2003.
Sadly Zodi doesn't have the songs anymore, so I still need samples of the release to confirm that it holds up to our standards in metalness and "quality".
