Proggy Industrial Rock/NDH. - Aisenmond
Spoiler: show
Genre: Death/Gothic/Industrial Metal?
Location: Eberswalde, Brandenburg (Germany)
Known members: Stefan Escher - Lyrics, Vocals; Hartmut Martin - Bass, Vocals; Jörg Tanne(n?)berg - Guitars, Vocals; Alexander Lips - Drums

Released the demo tape "Aisenmond" (1997) and the album (CD) "Erare" (2000).

"Aisenmond":
1. Far away
2. Schattenland
3. Dein Ich
4. My love
5. Blinder Augenblick
6. Bleed

"Erare"
1. Schattenland 4:06
2. Running Time 5:52
3. Last human 3:04
4. Seelenfeuer 4:48
5. Ewigkeit geschenkt 2:57
6. Kreatur 5:07
7. Far away 4:38
8. Einsamkeit 7:13

While the self-titled release gets labeled as Psychedelic or Gothic Death Metal with Black-Sabbath/Meryful-Fate riffs and a Nick Cave vibe, the full-length gets described as similar to Die Krupps or Laibach with influences from Darkwave or the Merlons. A different page calls the album "weird rock" though.
Review for Aisenmond
Review for Erare
their entry @ Underground Empire

Needs samples.

[Edit:] Another review, refering to Rammstein for the album: http://www.earshot.at/php/content/revie ... ow&idx=161
Biography: https://www.track4.de/band/1173/

Also I'm making my way through that review site, trying to find more stuff that's worth investigating.

I also think, that it could be worth to try to listen to the three Aisenmond songs, which I have found. They namely confirm the comparisons to Rammstein in the review. The first two songs soud like a mixture of Rammstein and OOmph! and the third song has also a mmedmedival rock elenents similar to The Merlons and Subway To Sally. So, nonone of the songs is metal imo.

Sadly, those Aisenmond samples don't work for me.

That's a pity, but the links still work for me normally.
What I did:
Step 1: I entered the Track 4 band profile
Step 2: I clicked on "Musik".
Step 3 : I scrolled to "Titel ohne Album".
Step 4 : I clicked onthe link underlined as "Ewigkeit geschenkt".
Step 5 : I was taken to something called Track 4 player. It offers diverse possibilities, for example to download the song, but I clicked on the "Play vido" button and the song started to play.
Then i repeated it with the two other songs.
Here is the direct link to the Ewigkeit geschenkt" song. mayb it will work this way?

Needs research. - Lob Losos
Genre: Power/Speed Metal
Location: Finland

Supposedly released the EP "Look Yourself to the Mirror" in 1989 on 7''.

Tracklist:
A1 Look Yourself To The Mirror 5:07
A2 You're Lonely 3:35
B1 Moralpainting 5:22
B2 The Wage Of Looking For 3:33

The release is mentioned in this archive of Finnish hard rock/metal:
http://www.isten.net/guide/g_l.html

And mentioned in a few trade lists, mostly under the "wanted" tab, so not proving much.

It is on Discogs though, but it's labeled "Test press/White label"
https://www.discogs.com/Lob-Losos-Look- ... se/4085911

Other links for the band:
http://populappi.rovaniemi.fi/bands/view/1567
http://populappi.rovaniemi.fi/records/view/2512

Therefore this needs both samples and some proof that there has been official distribution, not just a few test presses for the band members.

(Spooky - June 21, '22) - Azmodes acquired a copy, and it is thrash metal. Just looking for distribution details now.

Roland Almer - vocals
Jo Strammer - guitars
Andreas Preininger - bass
Wolfgang Rathgeb - drums (contacted him on FB)

Needs research. - Blank
Genre: Progressive Metal?
Location: Mönchberg, Bavaria (Germany)
Known members: Matthias Appel - unknown, Timo Weis? - unknown
Might be these guys: Matthias, Timo

On the same sampler as Moondaze:
A review of this sampler calls the band metal

Released the 3-track CD "Surreal" in 1998, review here:
http://www.durp.com/reviews/1999/b/blank/surreal_mr.htm
Also saying they play metal.

Needs proof for public release + samples.

Frank Schneider - bass
Matthias Appel keyboards

There is another review for the same release at Durp website, mentioning the exact tracklisting:
http://www.durp.com/reviews/1999/b/blank/surreal.htm
Edit: here on this site, you can hear short samples from all songs on the Progressive Disdurpance compilations:
http://www.durp.com/sampler_e.php3?lang=_e

More rock than metal. - Moondaze
Spoiler: show
Genre: Progressive Rock/Metal
Location Zürich, Switzerland
Known members: Manu - vocals, Mac - guitars, Reichi - bass, Dave - drums

Not to be confused with the Blues/Rock band Moondaze from the Netherlands.

Released the EP "Seek After Venus" (1999) and the "limited promo CD" "Life will live on" (1997).

"Seek after Venus" is on Discogs, labelled Art/Prog Rock
Gets described as having Prog Metal in it in this review:
http://www.artrock.pl/recenzje/380/moon ... venus.html

The promo CD is described as "somewhere between Prog Rock and Metal" and similar to Enchant and Divine Regale (both on MA) here:
http://www.durp.com/reviews/1998/m/moondaze/lwlo.htm
They also give info on how to order the CD.
Another review calling it Prog Metal.

There's one song off that album on youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiVLchDTAQw
Very prog rocky, but there's metal in it.
The song is also on this sampler

I think VR is covered, but needs a lot more samples, preferably both albums.

Needs research. - Undermine
Genre: Metal/Blues/Punk?
Location: New York, USA
Known members: Selminha Hood - vocals, guitars; Gary Hood - vocals, guitars; Glenn Richards - drums, backing vocals; Will Halliday - bass
According to the review below, Selminha is a former member of Volkana, most likely Selma Moreira

Release an untitled demo in 1999, review here:
http://www.durp.com/reviews/2000/u/unde ... mo1999.htm
In their early stages the band was called "Heating Pad"

Again, contact address to obtain the CD is given, so mostly needs samples. Doesn't hurt to back the release up, though.

There's more to come from the review site, but that's it for now.

I'm uninformed as to what exactly whitelist means according to the site's rules and guidelines, so I would appreciate if anyone could inform me of this:

Last month I asked on the 'Band Appeals' subforum about a band I wanted to add, Zao: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=125494
After almost a month, the band was rejected due to not being metal enough, yet on the thread I asked about the band, I provided an album which I believe is metal enough to meet the site's criteria, and one of the moderators claimed of whitelisting the band, which gave me the impression that "okay, the site probably allows to add this band."

Thanks for the help and sorry for the inconvenience.

The definition of the word "whitelist" is very simple: to remove from the blacklist. However, when we whitelist bands, it doesn't necessarily mean approval is guaranteed; it's simply a green light for the user to resubmit their draft. Especially in the example you gave.

Generally, if one of us thinks there is a possibility that the band is metal enough, we whitelist the band and evaluate it as a team more thoroughly in the queue.

So I assume if the band was rejected after being whitelisted upon evaluation, then it stays that way?

When we reject it after whitelisting it, it usually goes back on the blacklist until the band gets brought up in the appeals thread with another, in most cases new, album that we think is worth looking at in the queue.

An unknown band , that released a demo cassette with songs Look To The Light and Remember me in 1987. Need a proof for valid release, even if the sample of the song Remember me would be also useful.
Not to be confused with the power metal band Armaggedon USA.

Needs research. - Mártires
Location: Brazil, Rio Branco
Genre: Melodic death Metal (early), deathcore (later)
Lyrics: Christianity
The band started as a melodic death metal band and released the ep Hino Aos Mártires in 2008, later on they have changed their line-up and style and released the ep Eternal Life , which was in deathcore style and not very useful for this site. I need proof of valid release ffor the first ep Hino Aos Mártires.

Regarding Themplo: I have recently found their compilation song " Tears Of Midnight" on Youtube. It was posted there by themakers of Metal Mission magazine, which has also released the compilation and, as I recall, also distributed their 2001 demo on CD.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiLnF8WHrzw
The band's full line-up was:
Markus Slwczuk - Vocal
Cristiano Menezes - Guitars
Márcio Carvalho - Guitars
Flávio Pascarillo - Drums

The video was posted by the staff of Metal Mission megazine, so I would like to ask for help, if someone could contact the channel owners and ask them , if the DEmo 2001 was released physically and if their former distro carried it, I would be really grateful.

More rock than metal. - Joint Heirs
Spoiler: show
Genre: Heavy metal/Hard Rock?
Lyrics: Christianity
Location: USA

The band has released thethe album "Renaissance" in 1997, apparently on Cd, since it was available from CD BAby at some time. Ununfortunately, they do not seem to carry it any more, even if there are still traces of it on Goodle search. I need more samples and a proof of valid release.

Hard Rock. - Axis (UK)
Spoiler: show
Heavy Metal
___________
Found this release on Discogs...
https://www.discogs.com/Axis-Axes/release/13366469
...and a Google search leads to other sites/metal encyclopaedias that describe the band as NWOBHM.

I can't find samples, though.

There's an unanswered request on HMR since 2013 aswell. Seems to really obscure.

Listed for sale here in case anyone wants to spend 200€ (I recommend not to do that just for MA...)

Got a bunch of French bands that need research. Bands that this dude has played with, but he couldn't give me much other than Facebook links to ask other people... So maybe some of you social media types out there can investigate further.

Needs research. - Azalmerhoth
Genre: Black metal
Location: Auvergne, France

They seem to have two different Facebook pages for some reason?
https://www.facebook.com/Azalmerhoth-402681339895122/
https://www.facebook.com/azal.merhoth

Uncertain if there's a valid release... They put their releases on YouTube, but is there a non-streaming option somewhere?

Album 2015: Anaphylaxie - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IF8Nnal ... Okflgv1Sl0
EP 2017: Ébauche sinistre - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itoTNPG ... ture=share

No release. - Aliénation mentale
Spoiler: show
Genre: Black metal
Location: Clermont-Ferrand, France

There was apparently a CD released in 2000, but no further info.

If I understand correctly, Lord Necron from Gergovia was involved and may have more info. Maybe he can be contacted on one of Gergovia's social media accounts.

Scratched off the list. According to Gergovia the CD was recorded in 1999 and a few copies were made and sent to a few labels in order to get someone to release it, but that never happened. Then the band, that wasn't really a serious project at the time, split up and he went on to form Endless Agony.

Needs research. - Corpus Funeralis
Genre: Black metal
Location: France

Very little info. Some songs recorded in 2015 but never released, then the band split up. Unknown if there were other releases before that...

Added. - Aeternum
Spoiler: show
Genre: Death metal
Location: France

This is from the 1990's. Apparently there was a live demo. This guy was the drummer and may have more info: https://www.facebook.com/Knulladdinmama?fref=nf

Related comments:
Will add the band soon, once the samples arrive.
Added. - Ancestral
Spoiler: show
Genre: ?
Location: ?

Here's a strange one. This demo that's currently on the French Ancestral's page is apparently by a different band. The guy from the band says they never had a demo by that name, and I'm inclined to believe it's not just a whitewashing attempt. The logo on the tape insert is completely different, and the text seems to indicate that the sole member was "Ögat", which doesn't fit with the other Ancestral either. Could it be this guy? No idea.

I'm leaving the page for that demo up for now to keep the info, but it would be great if we could find enough info to add the other band and move this release over.

Hey guys, regarding Ancestral, I found the audio from "My Garden of Solitude" : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQg9KvE ... e=youtu.be
As you said, the logo isn't the same, "Ögat" isn't part of the band neither. And here I'm adding that they are not sounding the same at all.
Here's the audio of "Seven path beyond" : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mwKU9tqtiY

The Ancestral from "My garden of solitude" sounds more like... well, not really black metal, there are some black metal-ish parts, but I don't know what genre put over this demo. And the Ancestral from "Seven Path beyond" is black/death metal "well played" I would say. So I really do think they aren't the same bands, but idk where does the one of Ögat come from, and I don't know if it's metal enough to be approved on the archives.

PaganiusI wrote:
Hrm. There's an image of the tape and samples.... this should be good enough to be submitted?
First come, first serve I guess.
+ the demo was added to MA by a former mod, hence trustworthy.
