Aliénation mentale
Scratched off the list. According to Gergovia the CD was recorded in 1999 and a few copies were made and sent to a few labels in order to get someone to release it, but that never happened. Then the band, that wasn't really a serious project at the time, split up and he went on to form Endless Agony.

I don't know if this helps, but I have found a download link for the band "Stolen Thunder", but you need to register to download the file.

Every bit helps, even though I won't open an account there...Don't trust them and they won't take a throwaway mail.

Not Metal - Funk/Alt Rock with thrash/power metal influences. - ZE:US
Spoiler: show
Genre: Power/Prog/Industrial Metal?
Location: Germany
Known members: Tommy Smids - bass, keys, vocals; Dave Mancino - guitar; Rene Czyrka - vocals; Tobe Streim - drums, loop, vocals

Previously known as Q-Squad.
https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Q-Squad/24433

Released the demo "On Every Hour" in 2000, both on CD and digitally on their homepage.
1. On Every Hour
2. Welcome
3. SOS
4. Solitude
5. The Lizard's Tongue
https://web.archive.org/web/20010202082 ... index2.htm

The bands sound was described as a mix of Power Metal, Waltari, Krupps and Rage Against the Machine in this review for a promo CD that has way more songs than that demo.
http://www.durp.com/reviews/2000/z/zeus/promo1999.htm

Reviews of the demo:

Homepage:

Contacted Red Circuit (Tommy's current band), but they didn't respond yet...
They are present on a RockHard sampler with the track "Welcome" which sounds...borderline, but possibly okay. Needs more samples though.

ZE:US was formed in 1997 and split-up in 2001 for the loss of their guitarists. Tobe is also talking about a release that was produced by Markus Teske that sadly was never released. Which will be that release ? On Every Hour? Because Tobe is also talking about only one song from Zeus that did reach the masses, but Tobe at no time mentions any of the demos released by ZE:US in 1999 and 2000:

This however was a demo spread sometime before that, and sometimes bands don't consider them "released", because "released" means "by a label" to them.
Gets backed up by his other note, stating that only one song reached the masses, because it was featured on a "big" compilation.

"On Every Hour" never was released itself. However, I am asking the producer about the evidence found that it was released digitally and physically. Said all this, maybe only the demo from the album was released, but not the album itself.

What a weird mix. The vocals often sound like a mix of power and thrash metal, but the riffs are mostly typical German 90s "Funk Metal".
They did not lie when comparing this to RATM. Doesn't seem to be acceptable. Thanks alot for digging this up though!

The band possibly released a demo in 1985. Proof of a physical release is required.

Regarding Dominion: Their "Join The Battle" demo was recently added to ddiscogs as a cassette, providing another strong hint of its physical release. Unfortunately, none of the users there seem to own it, eeven though already 6 users are interested in buying it:

Regarding Azalmerhoth: It is clear from their Facebook, that both albums were only Youtube streaming releases. Both posts regarding the albums have the direct liks to -youtube without mentioning any download possibility. If I understood it right, their upcoming album should be also available for download, but it is not released yet.
https://www.facebook.com/azal.merhoth/p ... __tn__=H-R
https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php? ... %22O%22%7D

Please, remove also the band Louvor Heavy from the list, since they were recently blacklisted for being hard rock.
Cryptor Satan was also determined to not be predominantly metal, yet the link still appears in the list.

Added after I finally found the split. Looking at Regurgitate's genre, I guess they didn't really change much in their sound.

This is metal, with a professionally done and mastered EP Despicable Malevolence on Youtube, but no sign of an actual release. Some talk about planning to do a CD release on their FB way back in 2014 is the best I could find.

Hey Azmodes, one of the members said me, that the band is split-up since 2016 and that he doesn't remember honestly if they released physical copies of this ep, but at least he assures me that it was released digitally even on Bandcamp, but their Bandcamp is not available nowadays. Having said all this, it's a valid submission or should I wait to receive more information?

As for Azalmerhoth, they announced a physical version of the first album here, it's not clear whether that happened or not.

Re-Wendigo: Contacted Mokoma.

+ a little announcement: I'll go through this topic again in a few days and add a list of bands that were deemed unacceptable at the end of the OP because some band names are a pain in the ass to search for using the forum search

I have received 3 albums in mp3 form by a member of a band not on the archives... the albums were released on CD-r in the late 90s. small quantities, basically sold by hand locally. no online presence and no other proof, save for an email by said band member that they were... would that do?

Regarding Freedom Force: I have found another song, this time from their debut album, and it is heavier, than the description on Discogs.com would suggest, a mixture of heavy metal and hard rock. So I am furthering my search in regards to audio from the first demo "The Way I" 1992

Added. - C4 (Argentina, Heavy metal)
Spoiler: show
From Buenos Aires City, they existed during the late 90s to the early 2000s, around that time. The only member I know was the vocalist; a guy born in my city (Concordia) named Guillermo Vecchio, but he died a few years ago, so my only possible lead is gone.

They released a CD sometime during their existence, this youtube channel has all of their songs. I know the CD existed because a friend of mine had it back in 2005 before handing it over to someone else. There might not be too many copies, it was a classic heavy metal band and I'm pretty sure most of their members were in their 30s back then, but take that with a huge grain of salt.

They also featured in a compilation tribute to V8 ("No está muerto quien pelea"), playing "Cautivos del sistema", in 2001, it was released by Dejesú Records.

I don't know what's the tracklist of the CD even if all the songs are up for listening, I don't know what year the CD was released, I don't know any name of a member apart from the deceased vocalist. I'd assume the image in those videos with the songs is the band's logo or the cover art of the CD, but I know that the guy who uploaded those songs owns the CD so I'm trying to contact him to see if he can send some pics or something.

Borderline Ambient / Black Metal tape that was submitted some time ago. We told the guy to submit the full demo, but apparently didn't (probably because it's not on the internet).

Want to listen to the full thing before adding or blacklisting.

Added. - Blood Covered Shovel (Australia, Brutal Death Metal)

From Adelaide, South Australia. Formed in 2007. In 2010 they went to a hiatus before coming back in 2011. Last known activity was in early 2018.

Last known lineup (around 2017 probably):
- Craig Breton (Bass) [Amoderndeath, ex-Taunt]
- Andrew Parkinson (Drums) [In:Extremis, ex-Sickness, ex-Truth Corroded]
- Joel Parkinson (Guitars, Backing vocals) [Alkira, Amoderndeath, In:Extremis, Skintilla, ex-Gorlapse]
- Derek Bywaters (Guitars, Backing vocals) [ex-Diatribe]
- Benjamin Kornouchovs (Korno) (Vocals since 2011) [ex-Gorlapse, ex-Absinthe Betrayed which is featured in this list too]

Former members:
- Andy (Drums)
- Rob (Vocals until 2009 or 2010)

They released a self-titled demo CD in 2007, with 3 tracks:
- Fatal Wounds (2:36)
- Full Metal Jacket (2:48)
- Vengeance (3:01)

They also collaborated in a "Downtown Metal Compilation" in 2009, volume unknown, with the song "Pandemic Infection".

A full-length was on the works as of 2013, but Korno has told me it was never finished. There's only one listenable song in the web apparently, which is the next one:

Blood Covered Shovel - Barrage of Shells
Spoiler: show

The demo songs were uploaded to MySpace but they are long lost by now. The current status of the band is unknown, as a split-up has never been announced in their social media, and last activity was not that long ago, and this band already had some periods of silence before.

Their contact email: [email protected]
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pg/bloodcoveredshovel/
Myspace: https://myspace.com/bloodcoveredshovel
ReverbNation: https://www.reverbnation.com/bloodcoveredshovel
YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC41tsA ... hvLXPGqE5w
Metal-Roos: http://metal-roos.com.au/bands/Blood-Covered-Shovel

I've already checked all the links above, and I've talked with Korno. He doesn't have the demo, so asking another band member if they have is the fastest and possibly the only way of getting it.

Hard Rock. - The Boyz (USA)
Spoiler: show
Genre: Heavy Metal/Hard Rock

Featuring Joe Hasselvander on drums, they released one EP in 1981 entitled Bustin' Out! If anyone has a sample of the title track or better quality sounding versions of the two presented below, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Genre: Heavy Metal

Lyrics: Christianity

Needs research. - Sevrage (United States, Groove Metal?)

Groove/thrash metal band (I believe) from Arlington, Washington. Active during the mid-to-late 2000s.
They have a release listed in their MySpace:

Entrails of a Troubled Mind
1. Swaying Beneath the Funeral Noose (4:31)
2. Entrails of a Troubled Mind (4:11)
3. Wall Driven Thoughts (3:12)
4. The Truth Destroys Me (3:37)
5. Born in a Body Bag (4:22)
6. Slut Factory (2:34)

All songs are, as expect, lost forever, and I don't know if there's any other place with them. One of their BandMix pages (links below) had some songs a couple of years ago when I checked it, and also an image of what seemed to be the band members, most of them being young guys if I recall correctly, but these two are now gone by some reason.

Format is unknown, it might have just been a MySpace-only album, but it could also been released a CD.

Known members (as of March 14, 2006):
- Joey Barron (Vocals)
- Tyler Thompson (Guitars)
- Ryan Hoover (Guitars)
- Jr. Roberdge (Bass)
- Ryan Yancey (Drums) (Blood and Thunder) (Most probably)

- Matt Stultz (Drums) (ex-Death Rattle) (Formerly)

Matt Stultz joined shortly before the break-up of Death Rattle apparently. The rest of the lineup is featured in Local Band Network and Band Mix (excluding the drummer). Ryan Yancey might have left the band sometime after 2006 as they were last looking for a drummer.

Known links:
- BandMix
- BandMix
- Local Band Network
- MySpace

Both BandMixs have no tracks. Local Band Network has only some very basic info, and MySpace has literally nothing but the title of the tracks from their only release.

Known contact information:
- Email: [email protected]
- Email (Ryan Yancey): [email protected]

Both of these are surely dead and abandoned.

Needs research. - Two Words (United States)

Band from Marshalltown, Iowa. Genre unknown but must be something around the groove metal territory (although it might also be nu metal). Shared scenario with various nu metal acts and also with bands like Slayer and Lamb of God. Was active during the mid 2000s; last registered activity was in 2005.

Apparently they only released one CD called Never or (Never), supposedly on 18/07/2004. Nothing else is known regarding this release; I've checked Discogs and nothing there, and I couldn't find any page talking about it except from the band's homepage announcing it was due to be released "soon"

The only possible member was a guy named Shaun White, but this is just an assumption given he's the contact name in a link below.

Known links:
- Local Band Network
- Homepage @ archive.org

No actually valuable info in any of those pages.

Known contact info:
- Email: [email protected]

UPDATE (09/07/2022): The band played Metalcore, active from 1999 to 2010, when they changed their name for "As We Were". Released 2 words, an EP, and a full-length. Managed to contact a bandmate of the band's vocalist in another band but he's yet to get back to me with any stuff from these guys.

Added. - (Origin Unknown) (United States, Crossover/Hardcore/Thrash Metal)

Spoiler: show
Initially from Ashburn, Virginia, later moved to Sterling (apparently). Started in 1998 and dissolved in 2003, before coming back in 2004, after that the destiny of the band is unknown. Last activity must have been around 2005. They played crossover thrash bordering with hardcore; from what I've listened they do have metal riffs, but if the band is added it's down to the mods to choose if they're acceptable or not.

The band released at least 1 EP titled Morals, Lies and Consequences on 01/02/2003 (apparently). They initially split-up in September of that year. It's believed the band might have released another EP or demo, possibly self-titled. No info is available in any of both except for the name and release date of this one; songs are available in the links below.

Known members:
- Adam Gailey (Drums, 1998-2003, 2004-)
- Jon Cooper (Vocals, 1999-2003, 2004-) (ex-Dahlgren Prophecy, ex-Down by the Sweetgum Tree, ex-Forbbiden Path, ex-Reflux (live))
- Charlie Johnson (Bass, 2002-2003 / Guitars, 2003, 2004-)
- Jason Krehel (Bass, 2004-) (Above the Altar, ex-Dahlgren Prophecy)

- Chuck (Unknown)
- Dave Gouldner (Guitars, 1998-2003) (ex-Forbidden Path, ex-Petty War)
- Omar Olmedo (Bass, 1999-2000 / Guitars 2000-2002) (ex-Forbidden Path)
- Ryan Zuniga (Bass, 2000-2002 / Guitars 2002-2003)

The band started in late 1998 with Dave Gouldner and Adam Gailey. Most of the members came from a band called Forbidden Path which disbanded shortly after (Origin Unknown) started. The band suffered many line-up changes, with bassists constantly switching to guitar. Omar Olmedo left the band to pursue his career in medicine, the band split-up in 2003 due to unknown reasons but some months after it was reformed, with Charlie Johnson as the sole guitarist, replacing Dave Gouldner, and with Jason Krehel on bass, replacing Ryan Zuniga. At some point a guy named Chuck was part of the band, it's unknown if it was the second name of any of the already present artists or someone else.

Known links:
- Find the Origin @ archive.org
- Local Band Network
- MySpace
- Homepage @ archive.org
- Pure Volume @ archive.org
- SoundClick

Find the Origin seems to be a custom url to their old MySpace; not much info there. Local Band Network has zero info, but it's the only source that confirms the existence of the EP I've mentioned above (apart from the band's homepage, but they don't refer to the EP with that name). Their MySpace is empty, their homepage has lyrics, images, a video, bios and some other somewhat-useful stuff. Their Pure Volume is dead so archive.org is needed to see it, not much there. SoundClick has all of their recordings and some info, it seems to be the last thing the band used before disappearing.

Known contact:
- Email: [email protected]
- Email: [email protected]

It's more than obvious that both email directions are dead anyway.

Needs research. - (Suicidal Execution) (United States, Thrash Metal)

Apparently a thrash metal band from Cleveland Ohio. Last known activity was in late 2003. Apparently they released a CD called Sniffing Death, on 10/09/2003. Nothing else is known about the release. They were signed to Hate Impostive Records. They most probably changed their name not long after this time.

Known members:
- Todd Ayer (Guitars, Vocals)
- Dan Tegarty (Lead Vocals)

- Frank Kordas (Unknown, ?-2003)

Known links:
- Local Band Network
- Homepage (dead, no archive available)

Known contact:
- Email: [email protected] (Frank Kordas)

Obviously that email is dead anyway.

Hey BuriedUnborn, yesterday I contacted with the vocalist and I said me very clearly that he doesn't even remember if that CD was released or not, if so, then maybe it was never released at the end of the day. I hope that this works for you

1. Can't You See
2. Reflection
3. Permission
4. Melting
5. The Hands That Feed
6. The Gift

Known members:

Blacklisted. - 36 Hours (United States)
Spoiler: show
From Buffalo/Lancaster, New York. Only songs I could find by the band are from their last EP and are heavy metal, but their older stuff might not be. Formed in 2000, released two albums in '01 and '02, and the afforementioned EP in '05 before disbanding that same year. Afterwards, the band's vocalist started a rap project called "Thirty Six".

Rebirth (2/6/2001, CD)
1. Wasting Time (4:33)
2. Frustration (5:04)
3. Revelation (6:07)
4. Renaissance (5:31)
5. Revolt (4:34)
6. Come Here Tonight (6:10)
7. These Black Boots (4:03)
8. Erased (5:38)

Cover art
[spoiler]Image

The Road to Nowhere (2002, CD)
1. Intro
2. Buffalo Attitude
3. Perfect Have I Grown
4. Let the Music Guide You
5. Domino Effect
6. I've Been Here Too
7. Come to Terms

Contempt (10/3/2005, Digital-only apparently)
1. I Will Rise (4:08)
2. Contempt (4:12)
3. Breathe (4:26)
4. Staring at Me Now (3:34)

The last EP includes keyboards, something not present in their earlier albums. There might be another release that I probably missed.

Known members:
- Larry Myers (Bass ?-2005)
- Kevin Reichmuth (Drums ?-2005)
- Jae Hugar (Keyboards 2004-2005 / Vocals ?-2005)
- Shawn Szczygiel (Guitars 2004-2005)

The band had another guitarist previously, but his name is unknown (it might be somewhere in the old archives of their site though)

Needless to say it's dead.

EDIT (19/03/2020): I found a song, but it's rap, no metal at all there, not even rock. It's apparently from their last release before disbanding, so they might have shifted genres; if any of their previous releases sound like this, then we can confirm they're not metal.

EDIT: Found more in the web archive, and they are in fact metal (apparently). I might add the band soon.

EDIT 2: I uploaded their Contempt EP to YouTube last month. Still need samples from either one of their albums to be able to submit the band.
