For the band Wendigo (Finland), band brought up by Axel666MoWi in August '19 and Witcher in January '20, if this can help at all I came across 2 videos of them playing live in 2019 at a show or festival called Jalkosalmi on March 8, 2019:

Aloof: You mentioned a rock band, Die Laughing in June of last year. Not sure if you were after the UK one that Paganius posted about, but there is a US one as well, based out of Nebraska. They had the songs "Genesis / Tired..." and "Silent Revolution" on the Midwest Metalfest compilation CD/Tape (1990) on Ground Zero Entertainment (owned by and songs compiled by Matt Roberts). He might have further info on them. The inlay of that compilation lists all band members (but I don't own the tape and couldn't find an image of it online with a quick search). Here is a song on YouTube with unrelated visuals and a discogs link to the comp.

There are several people on Discogs mentioned as owning the record. When I get more time I was thinking about trying to message a few of them to see if they'd mind sending a song or two from the album.

Cool, thanks for specifying that. Die Laughing (US) might not be metal enough to be added, anyway.

If anyone finds enough info to add the bands I brought up in this thread (Valiant, Black Hole, Sermon, Dister Brain, Crimekaiser, Eternal Hill, Bromothymol, Rough Justice, DRP), feel free to do so. Credit for adding them doesn't really matter to me. It would just be nice to see them on the site if it's determined that they qualify as a metal band and enough info can be found about them.

There's a download of the tape here:
https://leforexenligne.fr/rock/16454245 ... -free.html

Unfortunately its one of those Usenet links and I think it was established earlier in the thread no-one here had an account (its free for 14 days but you need to register first). I did register myself a few years ago, but couldn't get the software to work. Didn't have too many problems cancelling though.

Thanks, Billm. I don't feel comfortable entering my credit card info in on that site for the free trial, but if anyone is able to access that download and the songs are metal, just send one or two of them to the band queue along with the Discogs link, and this band can be added. Their known release title "Brainsell Is Disterbed" can just be entered into the additional notes field until the year of release is confirmed.
Also, not sure that that is a legitimate download website and could be a scam for all I know, so don't go through with this unless you're sure the site is safe.

In that case, would it be possible to use a random gift card (used or not), since those are basically useless once the money's used?

Trying to find out year of release, and get samples of their music.

https://www.discogs.com/Eternal-Hill-Et ... e/15399445

Drums, Keyboards – Masaki Koeda
Guitar – Anjue Yamashiro (also in Fatima Hill: https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Fa ... ab_members)
Vocals, Bass – Toshiya Saitoh

This one appears to be some sort of precursor to Fatima Hill, before he found their permanent vocalist Yuko. Anjue reused two of the songs on FH's first two demos - 'Songeria' is on #1 'Ikaros', (but as an instrumental minus the lyrics) and 'Fatima' on #2 'Ring and Queen'. I imagine a few people here have those tapes, as more than one has edited the tape line-ups here, so possibly they may be acceptable evidence? Apparently the guy who put it on Discogs (friend of a friend!) just randomly found it in a second-hand shop in Japan. There's nothing actually on the tape or lyric sheet that identifies the year of release though. I'll try to find a Japanese interview (I can read Japanese) on the band's origin as they may well discuss it at some point though.

About Eternal Hill: If the band is Fatima Hill under a different name and with a slight lineup change, I think that is acceptable evidence of being a metal band, especially if 2 of the songs were used later by Fatima Hill. If you're able to easily acquire any more information it would be helpful, though. With some bands there is only a little bit of information that can be retrieved, but there will be a better chance to have more information surface, as well as (hopefully) their music once they're added to M.A. The uploader on Discogs, black_fate, also contributed the other Japanese band's tapes that I posted about. One way that those bands could be added is if he is able to upload a song from those other releases. Billm, if you feel there is enough information gathered on any of the bands, feel free to submit. Thanks for looking into them!

Thanks a lot. I have alraeedy found the t link to the demo track, too, but the live rehearsal is new to me. It contains the songs, hich also appeared on the Roadkill demo and imo shw clearly, that the band played mostly punk. Sot the band can be deleted from the list, more so, that it already ggot rejected for being predomiantly punk, when I tried to submit it with the sole demo track as a sample.

Another of these Japanese metal/Oi! bands.

They've released an EP recently which might make them acceptable, but there's no way to fully listen to it without paying a crazy amount of money for it and it's hard to tell whether it'd make the cut with what one can hear here:

Just found this on a website and downloaded it to check it out. I don't know if it's metal enough or not honestly.

Edit: Talked with Kennermahn and we don't think this is metal. The band can probably be removed from the list/marked not metal, unless a mod would like to take a look at the release to confirm.

Country: Germany

This is some NS metalcore band that I stumbled across randomly. I noticed that they weren't blacklisted so I was trying to find their albums to see if they were metal. I was able to find their first and third album and they had some melodic death metal riffs scattered throughout, but I remember thinking they wouldn't make the cut. Needs research. - LegioNex

Genre: Black Metal
Location: Lappeenranta, Finland

This band was listed on here previously but was deleted in 2013 for having no physical releases. However, the digital policy has changed since then, and there is even mention of a CD release on an archived version of the band's official site. There were apparently 88 copies of the CD made. The band mentioned the demo being posted on the music sharing site mikseri.net, but I can't find it. I have all the information I need to submit this except for samples. If someone could find some samples for this (or the whole demo), that would be great. More evidence of the CD release wouldn't hurt either.

Archived official site: http://web.archive.org/web/200602252026 ... x.cjb.net/
Archived MA page of the band before it was removed: http://web.archive.org/web/201209270846 ... oNex/46428

Also, regarding LegioNex, here is the guy's Mikseri profile. LegioNex isn't on there, nor is it on his YouTube or his Soundcloud (his Soundcloud is linked on the Mikseri page, and the YouTube page is on his Soundcloud). If someone wants to try to contact him, that would be great, especially since I don't speak Finnish, and I'm not sure if he speaks English.

This is a homepage of Nico T. Nitsch, a culptor and designer. He currently lives Berlin, but he mentions in his bio, that he llived in Augsburg and was a drummer, ho that's certainly him:

Thanks, Witcher. It looks like possibly another one where you have to sign up, but maybe someone will be able to access that download. Anyone able to download it or confirm that the band is metal in another way, feel free to submit.
