G_One: There is enough in the information that you posted here that you can submit Clockwork (Italy) - their only demo is available for download on Bandcamp. Also, if the archived website of Autumn Leaves mentions that they had a release as you had mentioned, just include that link in a submission, along with as many samples as you can find - thanks.

Ok.

The draft shows a Melodic Death Metal band from New York, whose Facebook page is now down, active 2005-2017, and a 2005 cassette demo had these songs on it:
1. Illusion of Fate
2. Valkyries
3. Victim
4. Pursuit of Vikings (Cover)
5. Colony

Rejected due to lack of proof of the cassette.
https://myspace.com/illusionoffate/music/songs
https://www.meetup.com/HeavyMetal/events/5706219/ (info about a gig they played in '07)
Draft includes a logo and band photo that can be used if proof and metalness is confirmed.

Can't seem to find anything on these guys. They only ever appeared on this split and I can't find a download for it.

I'll grab the copy that's on Discogs. Will report back.

Update - this arrived today. I am in no rush at all to listen to it but I will find time to confirm the eligibility of Rodoslov. Keeping you posted...

Sounds good! Hopefully it's actually metal.

Thanks for checking in, is there anyway to recover pictures and music from a dead Myspace page? There might have been something useful in it.

There was some site that apparently had a fraction of MySpace's music recovered, but the few things that I tried searching on it didn't turn up any results. Old MS sites sometimes have working photos. You could try putting the web address into waybackmachine.

Needs research. - California bay area metal bands, '80s/'90s
- this Facebook group is a great resource, a lot of people who played in and/or remember bands from this scene:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/111323132235747

(note: might not all be California bands, could have just been a band passing through, doing a one-off show. At this time the bar for musicianship and quality metal was high in the area, and they had a great scene - so I try to check out anything that was going on there at the time.)

Burial (San Jose) - members: https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/Mike_Beams/2357

- Ancient Iron - https://imgur.com/a/Ps9Dbjg

Member: https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... lin/215861
Alex Lopez ( https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... pez/974908 ) and/or Matt Harvey ( https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/Matt_Harvey/2364 ) may have also been members, since they're the other people credited on Exhumed's recording of the song "Enucleation". Alex Lopez isn't credited on any other Exhumed songs, so likely was a Enucleation member, like Kris Berlin. Jason was one of their other band members (role unknown).

It seems to have fallen through the cracks, but A.M.F. from page 77 was added to the site many months ago, and can be removed from the list.

About Emperor - the blacklisting note says "unreleased demo". Not sure where that information came from, exactly. From the article that you attached it sounds like it was released, and then some copies were later destroyed. Maybe Azmodes would have an opinion about this one. Thanks, Bill.

There's a bit more on this thread from 2016:

viewtopic.php?f=27&t=64985&p=2682550

I believe this is a live bootleg I've seen for sale a couple of times: https://imgur.com/UtIdly8

The genuine demo has two different tracks per the bands old webpage here: https://web.archive.org/web/20070308115 ... PEROR.html

It was definitely recorded, but sources differ on whether it was actually released and the 'the band destroyed copies' story might be a myth...

Regarding Swallow It (Netherlands), their 1994 demo is included on the 2021 Deafen "Leading to a Fall - The Anthology" 2CD on Metal Warrior Records. If anyone gets that album, we're looking for those tracks for the possible inclusion of Swallow It (note: those songs aren't included on the vinyl version).

This site contains a huge collection of gig flyers and a list of live shows for specific metal bands (and some punk/hardcore), dating back to the early '80s. If you try googling an interesting-looking logo found on this page along with the city/state, approximate year, and/or music-related keywords, there are sure to be some finds not yet added to the site that would qualify.

https://metallipromo.com/metallica.html

This post is alphabetized on the main list under "Flyers - '80s/'90s, where obscure bands could be found".

Needs research. - Dachau
Location: Mykolaiv, Ukraine
Genre: ?
Years active: 1994-1996

Discography:
*Апофеоз войны (Demo, 1995)
*Made in Dachau (Live, 1995)

Known members:
*Killer - bass

All of this info is from the Archive's entry on Цирюльня, which is what Dachau eventually renamed to in 1997. I know that Цирюльня has hit a pretty wide range of genres over the years, so I'm not even sure if Dachau's output is metal, but it's probably worth a look.

BlackFlag - regarding Zakum, I just sent a FB message to the guy who uploaded "World of Terror" on SoundCloud, asking if it was released on tape. I'll try to get more information about it if he writes back, band members and such. If there's no follow-up to this and you want to try to do the same in a while, he has some other links on the SoundCloud page.
(update) - I talked to him and he confirmed that it was released on cassette in 1998 regionally, and they split up a few months afterward. Most of them are professional musicians nowadays, none still playing metal. Didn't press for further info about band line-up. They're good to submit, though.
(since there has been some discrepancy about the year of release, and we're not sure that the cover art is the same one shown on SoundCloud, the release and approximate year(s) of release can be placed in the additional notes/bio section on the submission).

Needs research. - Amaranthyne (United States, Melodic Black Metal)

A melodic black metal band from Baltimore, Maryland, formed in 2003 under the name Eternal Sleep, but they changed it quickly to this one. They also cited to have played Symphonic Black/Death Metal by 2005 and Melodic Power Metal by 2006.

They seemingly released a demo CD on September 26, 2003, called "Spread the Blood of the Innocent". It was seemingly sold through their webpage. Their lyrics dealt with satanism, war and death. Samples were available at some point but are since lost.

Last known line-up (as of 2006):
- Eric Meeks (Bass, since 2003 until he left and rejoined back around 2005)
- Mike Rix (Drums, since 2003)
- Jim Queen II (Guitars, apparently Bass too around 2005) (Previously in a metal band called Choptank)
- Doug Graves (Vocals)

Previous members:
- Derek (Guitars, around 2005)
- Cire (Guitars, around 2003) (also member of a death metal band called Withered Decay)
- Rob (Guitars, around 2005)
- Kurt (Vocals and Keyboards, around 2005)
- E-vil (Bass, in 2003) (Also member of a death metal band called Pukechrist)
- Daemon (Guitars, since 2003)
- D'Nile (Keyboards, since 2003)
- Amsirekon (Vocals, since 2003) (Also member of a crust band called No Kerisma)
- Rev. Rane (Vocalas, in 2003)
- Dee Brian C. (Bass, since 2003 or early 2004)

Genre: Thrash Metal
Band members: all 4 listed here in trivia section: https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... able/16810 (Mike Gilpin is almost 100% not the same one that's on the site)
- their drummer later played in Sevenchurch, and on this band's website they mention that Tortured recorded a demo on March 17-18 at Union Studio, containing the tracks: 'Killing Machine' 'No Place To Hide' and 'Life Of Torture'. It's not confirmed that it was released here, though - only "recorded". Would be worth trying to get in contact with a past member to find out if it had actually been released.
A little more info can be found here: https://www.sevenchurch.co.uk/SCTimeLine.html

Needs research. - Bui3
Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina
Genre: Heavy Metal
Band members: Unknown
- this has been a confusing case, since information regarding a 1993 demo can't be verified. While the Metaleros site (known to have some mistakes that aren't fixed after being informed of them, countries mixed up, etc.) shows this artwork on the Argentenian demos page: https://imgur.com/a/v5TunUO , and an M.A. user, now inactive on the site, who focused mainly on bands from Argentina entered in a 1993 demo as belonging to them during version 1 of the site - track listing: 1.Cacho de pedazo (4:05)/ 2.Desquiciado (4:55)/ 3.Aviador finlandés (3:32)/ 4.Monseñor (3:24) - the same artwork is on Discogs for a 1994 demo that exists from the Spanish band on M.A. (low-rated user, but physical tape was sold). That user copies and pastes artwork from M.A. on their contributions, though (the 1994 demo being one, about a year ago), and up until recently the artwork linked above had been on the Spanish band's '94 demo on M.A. (added by user AndrewPYL a few years ago - didn't bother responding after reading the request for more info a week and a half ago). While there is solid proof of existence, releases, and metalness of the Spanish band, they remain on the site, but nothing definite is known about the alleged Argentinan band Bui3. It also isn't certain that the '93 demo belongs to the Spanish band, though, even if there is no metal band Bui3 from Arengina. What remains on the site is verified information, and this demo is mentioned there - along with an abbreviated explanation of this confusion - in hopes that someone that could provide further clarification will see it on the site and offer additional insights/proof that is needed on the matter.

Not sure if this is the right thread but here we go:

Should the following albums be added to this page? Because the name exchange is insignifcant, I'd say https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Cl ... 3540323413

https://open.spotify.com/artist/7BoxJgVy8S4xbgGdaI0GR1

---------------

Released "Chains of Fire" on 2012 or earlier. There's the artist attached to the band: https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/ ... rea/439360

Needs research. - Atheos
Location: Poland
Activity: 1997-2001/02
Genre: Thrash/Melodic Death Metal?

Full "W chaosie" 2000 demo here:
https://soundcloud.com/marsjanin-1/sets ... -w-chaosie

All tracks are available to download except for one. It'd be great to have a proof of physical release.
(BTW, Marsjanin stands for The Martian, so I guess that's a dead end)

Added. - Sinism
Spoiler: show
Location: Germany
Genre: Progressive Metal(?)

They've released a CD album in 2014: https://www.facebook.com/asuglyassin/ph ... 7030701137
The only sound sample I was able to find: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-Y8nyAH8aA
There's also this myspace page and I'm not sure if anything can be brought back from here: http://www.myspace.com/sinismband

Their CD was reviewed by a metal/rock webzine called The Metal Web Bavaria. From what I can see, they do probably know what they're writing about, since it is their speciality. I'm not sure how this works, but I'm sure that only someone who knows what is being talked about would appear on a public zine, for an apparent informed public to read. Once in a while, they also appear to promote some forgotten gems from the region: https://www.facebook.com/TheMetalWebBavaria/

Translation:
SINISM – Agemo (Metal)
Phew... Rarely has it been so difficult for me to classify a band! What to do when speed metal meets progressive metal, death metal, classic rock and thrash? It's easy, just go in and be happy that there are actually still bands that don't stick to any guidelines, but just do their thing and make great music! Hard, fast riffs, groovy bass and tight drums meet a singer who reminds of an early Dave Mustaine, resulting in a metal album at its finest! Clean, sombre intros lead to the strong riffs just mentioned and exude that certain atmosphere that every Metalhead desires.
There is simply nothing more to say about this work!
The presentation of the hand-numbered disc, which is limited to 500 pieces, is very neat! Plastic cover and a multi-page booklet leave a very professional impression!
Unfortunately I miss something in the production. The sound of the disc sometimes seems too thin to me. I would have wished for a little more fat because the riffs really deserved it!
Otherwise, very cool CD, recommendation to everyone who finds himself in the intersection between Iron Maiden and Death!
8/10 points!

Due to the fact that it is an overall ambitious and ambiguous kind of metal, I'd say it is progressive metal, with a sharper edge, similar to those early prog bands like Conscience, Secrecy and so on.

What do y'all think?
