G.O.M., since they told you it was an official release it could be submitted along with a screenshot, and the links to the music (definitely metal).
There are a lot of bands in research that the music is verified to be metal, but proof of the release doesn't seem to be found on Google (yet, anyway) - and contacting members and providing a similar screenshot (especially if you can find out a detail like approximately how many, if they happen to know or remember - 10 or more copies is when something can be deemed an official release, unless "only given to friends" in some cases) is the best way to go about it. Some band's releases really are that rare, or hidden by time, but certainly doesn't mean they don't exist when you can still hear the music and get a detail like that from the direct source.
Totally appreciate your efforts in here as someone who would like to see a more complete documentation of all metal bands with a release on the site.

As for Red Abyss... I just took a peek at the facebook and apparently the cassette is just... A cassette. There's only one. This is strange considering the message I got back on discogs said tape(s): plural. I messaged the band again for clarification. Holding off on submitting now.

Needs research. - Myspace connection pages in general / Northwest Extreme Metal, etc.
One of the worthwhile things that all of the flawed / half-expired Myspace band and metal-related pages still has to offer is that the list of 'connections' still exists. Potentially unlisted bands that could be found on non-defunct sites like Facebook, ReverbNation, etc. are still around. On pages like the one linked below (Northwest Extreme Metal), there are tons of bands in their connections, and it could be worth looking through this and similar pages for unlisted bands. It was also fairly common for bands to write their activity periods, like BandName [2005-2009] for example. If the band is listed on the site, yet year that they split up is missing, it could be filled in, provided there's no indication that they ended up continuing on later.

In general, I don't think that underground bands from 2000-2012 (the latter 2/3 being when Myspace was popular) are documented as closely as the ones from the last 10 years. Maybe more posts could be added below this of pages that once existed there, but pool together a lot of potentially underground metal bands worth looking through.

I have some info on these guys.

I don't know why, but I thought these guys were blacklisted. I tried to add them years ago but couldn't.

Also the band is called: The Plasmarifle or (the) Plasmarifle.

I saw them live a few times. I have both of their albums on my computer, my friend let me borrow the CDs. I also found samples on YouTube from both albums. They remind me of Beneath the Massacre for their deathcore style breakdowns but have a lot of avant-garde/technical style structure to their sound along with death metal and hardcore.

I know the drummer. The band mostly started as crust/grind/noisecore and they have been changing with every recording. The self-titled demo from 2017 and the "Never Mind The Earache​.​.​. Here's Gofuckyourself" tape from 2015 is the closest to the grindcore sound from them I've found. They still use a lot of crust and noisecore sound.

That "far east" list is 95% rock and should either be wiped, or rebuilt from dvmusic.ru by ensuring style has "metal" in it. Otherwise it's just hundreds of rock & pop bands with no info apart from often deleted low quality live tracks.

And come on now, Nautilus Pompilius was never metal... Rock with recording quality so bad that distortion destroys guitar sound is not metal. Listen to this and tell me this is metal.
