Needs research. - Dark Scorn
Genre: Black Metal
Location: Nuremberg (Bavaria), Germany
Members: Morvan (Vocals and songwriting), Loray (Drums), J. (Guitars)
Former members: Anima Xibalba (Guitars, Bass, Mixing), Gymir (Drums)

Released the single "Dark Path of Chaos" limited to 50 copies (unknown format) and announced the album (Altar of Chaos) for 2016 (with artwork), but there's proof for neither of the releases. So that's what I need, since the music is metal.

I tried to contact the band both via mail and facebook. No response in two weeks, hence I'm posting here.

Added. I could edit the post myself, but I don't remember how to change the colors. :/
Can also be removed from the list.

Edit:
This one has also been added:
viewtopic.php?p=2835579#p2835579

Edit 2:
Post edited. The band's yet to be removed from the list, though. Mad Jack.

Needs research. - Lifeline A.D.
Genre: Melodic Heavy metal
Country: USA, New York, New York
Lyrics: Christianity

The band has released a demo tape "Seasons" in 1989 It two songs and an unlisted hidden third song. I have sample of only the first song, so I need audio files of the other two songs: https://christiantapeunderground.wordpr ... d-seasons/
The band has also released a first demo prior to Seasons, which was called Cry Hosanna and which had two songs on it, which has also appeared on Seasons. The audio files from that demo would also be very useful: http://downthelinezine.com/cue/doku.php?id=lifeline_a.d
http://cmnexus.org/profiles/Lifeline
The band was restarted by guitarist Tyrone Williams with new members in 2004, but this vversion of the band was more hard rock in the style of King's X and living Colour and used the shortened name Lifeline. They have released the CD Cry in 2005.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFk9qhMFMLg
Original line-up: Paul Andrejack – Drums, vocals
Tyrone Williamson – Lead guitar
Chris Williamson – Lead guitar
Scott Firth – Bass guitar

Hello lads!

Already listed. - Dark Fate
Spoiler: show
Genre: Heavy Metal/Hard Rock
Country: United States (Hudson, New York)
Status: ???

Bandcamp: https://darkfate1.bandcamp.com/

Pretty inspired by Metallica's "Black Album" era

Impaled by Metal is unambiguously metal, also Infecting The Holy.

Bang Your Head Forever and One Nation Under Fire have some hard rock moments but is predominately metal.

You would say "Dude, what's the problem here..?"

Here's the thing, there is another Dark Fate with Bud "The Beast" Novak AKA Bud Blasphemous, I got a draft made already, in only visible for moderators section I putted: "PD: Bud Novak is in other project also called Dark Fate, in my opinion the other band has nothing to do with this band in my sight... It has names of the other Dark Fate's songs (for example in Infecting The Holy "Control The Beast Within" can be located, but seems it is a personal heavy metal project not anything to do with the other extreme Dark Fate"

The question is.. Should I send it to the queue or simply modify the already Dark Fate here?

Bandcamp says clearly that the band was formed in 1986, so he obviously thinks of it as a continuation of that old, hibernating project. He must've needed an outlet at some point - other than Necrolord - and decided to resurrect the name. The genre the band plays is irrelevant. He owns the rights to the name and he can use it in any way he wants.

The active years need to be fixed to reflect the fact that while the band had changed name at some point, both incarnations are now active. I'd say wait for PaganiusI or Azmodes to fix that, and then you'll have a green light to add those digital releases and update the lineup. After all, they might see things differently than I do. :)

Go ahead. Necrolord isn't a name change of Dark Fate anyway, according to the band. So there's nothing confusing in the years active tab anymore ;)

Needs research. - The Persecuted
Genre:Thrash Metal/Crossover
Location : Canada,Madoc, Ontario
Lyrics: Christianity
The band has released two demo tapes, one in 1990 and another one called " Living" in 1993. I need samples FROM the first or second demo, since I have currently only one song from the debut demo.

I guess the guy from Swiss Demos has found nothing about them... I'll ask again asap. And about "Crozius Arcanum" I have nothing new too, someone seemingly known them, but I have no answers too, and he knew only one of their releases... Yeah this is a bit useless but that's just to keep you informed.

Regarding Iron Faith : I found possibly a song by ethem. The song is not any of their demos, but it could be just an early pre-demo song, since it was recorded in 1990. The musical style fifits the description, it is a christian band and their video was posted by their former bass player Patrick Goodwin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YcAig-1IxeI

Hey so you find an audio! Is it enough to add them to the archives? As "Circle's End" has been accepted with only one sample... I know this channel, maybe we should contact this guy to upload the full album. Have you send him a message? (Or maybe the full release is already on his channel, honestly I haven't checked).

Not Metal. - Cryptorsatan
Spoiler: show
Genre: Black Metal (Ambient/Noise?)
Country: Albania

First, here are some links :
- Discogs : https://www.discogs.com/fr/artist/3433816-Cryptorsatan
- metalarea : https://metalarea.org/forum/index.php?s ... 175303&hl=
- The "90% sure full black metal release" : https://www.discogs.com/fr/Cryptorsatan ... se/9853455

Before YouTube decided to delete every NS related shit, there was a lot of Cryptorsatan tracks available online. I'm 90% sure that this band should be added, I remember this release "Anti-Zionist Vamphyrr 14/88 " it was only kinda raw black metal not noise, ambient or anything. To be honest I don't remember how "Black Sun Cult [Transylvanian Misanthropy]" was sounding but the other track was 100% black metal for sure... If someone has enough patience to check out the metalarea link, there should be one release available for download... I tried to download some of them but they were all broken. And I listened to some other releases since 2017 and they were black metal too. Maybe the rejection is due to the first releases between 2011 and 2014/2015 which are maybe noise/ambient releases.

Sorry for every of my syntax mistakes, I'm really tired, and I just wanted to put this band here if someone want to check it out and try to find samples of the newer releases. It should not be so hard to find any samples, we just need to take a bit of time to do some research. Btw I know the facebook page of the guy behind this project, so if someone want to ask him or anything I'll give you a link in pm, I don't think it's really cool to put a personal link here (even if he his easy to find and seems to don't really care). Sorry again for everything I can do wrong way...

Alright. I talked to Zodijackyl, the guy who added the blacklist note, and he remembers this band, because of the bullshit surrounding it. The thing is, the band has a few metal songs spread out throughout its discogrpahy, but none of the releases from 2017 or before that are predominantly metal. The "Anti-Zionist Vamphyrr 14/88" EP you brought up might or might not be metal (Zodi remembers it as being half-metal, half-non-metal) and it was only released after someone reached out to the guy, asking him to release a metal release so he could add them to the archives. I fully agree that the two splits you also brought up are completely metal, but two songs in a discography of 40+ non-metal releases won't make the cut here. I brought this up in mod chat and the consensus was that it's not enough given that they are still spread throughout multiple releases. Once he releases one fully metal full-length this band could be brought up again, but as of now, it isn't there yet. I'll scratch it off the list.

I have already tried to submit it with that one sosong , but it ewas rejected and was told to get the samples from the full ep. I know, that there is only this song in this guy's channel, since he usually posts only one song from a certain albums. I have no Youtube account, so I would be eternally grateful , if you could please contact him and ask about the album. He is certainly Swiss by nationality and I even think he is Fren Swiss.

Already listed. - St. Asylem
Spoiler: show
Genre: Power Metal
Location: USA, Tuscan, Arizona
Lyrics : Christianity

Rather unknown power meta band, that reportedly sounds like Lizzy Borden. They have released one untitled demo cassette in 1990. I need audio samples from the demo.

Eric James – Lead vocals
Dana Kyle – Lead guitars
Bob “Z_-OB” Cady – Lead guitars
Martii Haviik – Bass, growls

I fail to see proof for the TNK demo in that Ebay link. The other link looks better, still needs samples.

Thanks for reviewing the TNK proofs. As for the samples, I really hope, the the reviewer will post something in his Youtube channel with time, as he does with other bands from his blog. Of course, if somebody else finds or posts the complete demo sooner, it will oly be for the better and it is the main reason, qhy I posted the band here.

Needs research. - Armageddon
Genre: Black Metal
Location: Spain
Known members: Wulfheim (Guitars, Vocals, Bass), El-Zamut (Drums)

Wulfheim: https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Wu ... 3540350524
El-Zamut: https://www.metal-archives.com/artists/El-Zamut/127560

The band seems to be the earlier version of Wulfheim: https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Wu ... 3540350524
Recorded and supposedly released the demo Satanis Filis in 1997 on cassette.
Tracklist:
1. Mortis Dominus
2. Into The Sabbat
3. Armageddon
4. Satanis Filis

Info from the original submission (2013, apparently submitted by Wulfheim):
Quote:
Satanis Filis was recorded as a very primary demo in cassette and is the only physical stuff of the band.Wulfheim always wrote all music, lyrics and did all stuff of Armageddon. The title of the demo comes from a nickname that a friend of Wulfheim called him as friendly name and then was translated after to latin for the demo and used as title. The english translation would be "Satanic Son".
The band also recorded a song in 1998 named "The Other Side" for a spanish magazine compilation but the zine dissapeared and stuff never was edited.

And:
Quote:
Armageddon starts as one man band in 1996 by Wulfheim (Known here as Baalberith) and after lots of line up changes through the years and continuos problems,Wulfheim decides split the band in 2001 and after years revives Armageddon again as solo project in 2008 and rename as Wulfheim.

Might need a bit more proof for the release (I got a photo of the tape though) and of course samples.

Needs research. - No Exit (Austria, some kind rock and/or metal?)

From Kapfenberg, Styria or somewhere near it, they appeared on this sampler: https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/E ... erg/783125 I'm told this is their only release. Their name appears on a couple of flyers I have from the 90s, playing shows with (mostly) metal bands, FWIW. Needs samples.

Spoiler: show

I guess not the same as https://www.discogs.com/artist/5345710-No-Exit-34 which is from Lower Austria, i.e. further north. EDIT: And after getting my hands on that sampler it's not metal anyway.

Needs research. - Scapegoat (Austria, metal?)

From Graz, Styria. I have scans of what looks like a self-titled tape (or could actually be two), but no tracklist or samples. Members were also in bands called Abscess of Society and Sorrow and their music is "described" as difficult to classify, although apparently they started out as a thrash band. Paradise Lost, Prong and Danzig are cited as favourite artists common to all three members. Some more stuff about depressive lyrics and atmosphere, so might be some kind of gothic metal.

This could be their drummer (called Andi in a promo text), related to frontman Michael "Michi" Markaritzer.

Needs research. - Beast (Germany, metal?)

Same as https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Beast/2481 ? The various logos on their albums don't really fit, but that doesn't mean anything.

Spoiler: show
Image

(yeah, Ekpyrosis got misspelled a lot on flyers...)

All infos taken from https://www.facebook.com/mm.andikrammer/ and emails with the guy running it. I found more unlisted bands there that warrant looking into and was given contact info for them. If those don't pan out, I'll post them here. The above are the only cases where I have no other option.

Needs research. - Supplication
Genre: Death Metal
Location: USA (Arlington, Texas)
Known members:

*Andrew Godwin - Lead guitar
*Jason Lindquist - Vocals
*Kevin Donnini - Bass
*Mark Garza - Drums
*Taylor Smith - Rhythm guitar

Discography:

*Persistent Sin (demo, 1993)

This is the first incarnation of what would later become Embodyment, which is already listed here. Wikipedia (yeah, I know) implies that their first demo, Persistent Sin, was originally released under the Supplication name before being rereleased under the Emboyment name. I can't find much to corroborate that, but I'm posting it here in case some of our more season detectives can find anything.

They've always been a little wishy-washy about that. They list 1993 in their official bio, but then their members give interviews where they talk about forming in 1992 or 1993, depending on who's talking. That's why I felt like there may have been some question about then the first demo actually came out.

I received this message :

Quote:
This is an automatic email notification. Do not reply to this email.

Sorry warwarwar, Encyclopaedia Metallum was forced to reject your submission for the band Episode (Finland), for the following reason:

Might be fine, but needs samples and maybe a bit more info on the release itself. If you can't provide that, feel free to bring the band up here:
viewtopic.php?f=17&t=104654

Your submission lacks samples of the actual music and/or proof for a valid release. We need both to judge the band. For a general guide on what is acceptable/valid visit our rules

If you want to object to this rejection, please do so in the Band Appeals forum (read the rules thread first). Do not e-mail moderators directly about this. If you need help digging up more information about a band for your submission, you can try posting about it in this thread.

Sincerely,
- PaganiusI, Encyclopaedia Metallum

And now I see mr PaganiusI added this band to Metal Archives without samples . How ??? I provided link to Isten magazine archive . Episode sounds like Queensryche.
