Currently working on Belëf's 'Infection Purification' and Sol Evil's 'Sanctus Satanas'.

There's a ton of albums on MA with lyrics unfound anywhere but booklets, and I figure that like correcting genres this would be a good project for MA members to undertake. A few tips if you want to join in.

1. Just to make it easier on you, check the internet for lyrics first. I just check the official sites or Myspaces on the off chance that the lyrics are out there but just haven't been uploaded yet. Hell of a lot easier than typing them up manually.

2. It would probably be a good idea to post which lyrics you're working on at any given time so we don't start overrunning each other and working on lyrics others are already doing.

3. This is mostly a stylistic thing, but I tend to preserve any spelling, grammatical, or stylistic errors in the lyrics. I guess this is up to the person submitting them but I think it preserves the integrity of the release better to just have them as is.

Anyway, it would be cool if others could join in and help make album pages more complete in this manner.

Honestly, I believe the #1 reason for members not doing what you are is weak stimulation to do so. Adding lyrics from a booklet is very time-consuming, but worth only 1 point per album. Adding them one by one is considered point-whoring.

I think this thread is a great idea and I applaud you for your effort and hard work. While the payoff in points may be disappointing, just knowing that you have contributed so much to the database is a very rewarding feeling in itself.

I remember submitting a bunch of lyrics for old demos and 7"s when I first made an account here. I'll have to go through my collection again and see where else I can contribute.

Anyway, keep up the good work.

My account is well, well past veteran at this point so the points don't really matter to me, but I do agree on principle that they should probably be worth more, though I'm not sure how to implement such a system. I finished these last night:
