Since there aren't many tours to talk about at this time, what are some best bands you have seen live?

Testament - I believe this was in 2016. This actually beat the record for the loudest show I had ever been to. It surpassed Motorhead, to deafening heights. There is a few thousand seater that I go to, that redid their PA system after Hurricane Sandy blasted its way through. The venues PA system came back louder and beefier. Metal bands sound amazing here. Testament were no exception. I stood in front of Alex, just in awe of his playing. I was front row and just took it all in. This was a tour of all older material. I never saw them back in the day, so this was great as a long time fan.

Gwar - This was a more recent show, with the current vocalist. I only pick this one over any show with Oderus, because the experience was more fun for me. I was front row at this show for all of the blood and dismemberment. This was the first tour after the death of Oderus, so the theme of the show was bringing Oderus back to life, through a time travel portal (that brought everyone through except Oderus). A great set of old material and new. Brent Purgason, of Cannibas Corpse was on guitars, which was an extremely cool to spot to be standing at a show. Not much else needs to be said, if you know anything about Gwar. They always put on a great show.

Municipal Waste - I believe this was in the 2014 timeframe. It was a few thousand seater and a good chunk of them had this insane pit. I never partake, I would rather watch the band. For a bunch of musicians stoned out of their minds, this had to be one of the highest energy performances I have ever seen a band play. At one point the singer called for there to be five or six lines of constant people being passed up to the front during the next song. The entire place erupted into complete chaos. A lot of fun to be in the middle of the chaos and see the band play with such ferocity.

I saw Iron Maiden at Jiffy Lube Live in 2019 and they were amazing, especially considering Bruce had just recovered from throat cancer of all things. He still sang amazingly well and was jumping all around with a flamethrower and all sorts of cool shit. The theatrics were amazing and the sound was equally awesome. Even the band that opened for them, The Raven Age, was pretty good too, albeit with less of a good sound.
