Obituary have unveiled the dates for a fall North American headlining tour that will find them out with Abbath, Midnight and Devil Master. The dates for that trek are available below. Obituary commented of the forthcoming run:

“The Florida RedNecks are headed out on tour and we are dragging our “Norwegian RedNeck Brother” Abbath out of Bergen to join us in North America. This will be one Hell of a Tour. We are also very proud to invite our boys MidNight and Devil Master to make this truly a Killer lineup!!”

Dates:

09/28 Dallas, TX – Gas Monkey Bar N Grill
09/29 Austin, TX – Come And Take It Live

It's funny to imagine Abbath playing a dive bar in San Diego. Do they play Immortal songs at shows?

I think "Tyrants" and "All Shall Fall" usually get played. Sometimes they pull out a song or two from the I album, usually "Warriors".

I saw him back in 2016 on his first US tour, and I knew he played a lot of Immortal material, but couldn't remember exactly what, so I found the setlist and copied it down below:

To War!
Winterbane
Nebular Ravens Winter (Immortal cover)
Warriors(I cover)
Ashes of the Damned
Fenrir Hunts
Tyrants (Immortal cover)
One by One (Immortal cover)
Count the Dead
Solarfall (Immortal cover)
Root of the Mountain
Endless
All Shall Fall (Immortal cover)

As you can see, at that time, he played a lot. But that was three years ago, and at the time, I think the main appeal to seeing him live for most people was getting to see Immortal material live. He has a new album coming out this week, which he'll be promoting on tour, and he is not headlining this tour (he was for the setlist I posted), so he won't have as much time in his set. All these factors mean that he will probably do less Immortal songs, but I'm guessing he will do at least three and an I song. I really wish he would do more I material, all of those songs are so damn good and probably rarely got any love live.

Actually for some reason I was thinking it said Fubar. Yeah the RR is pretty nice. They actually manage the volume well so its not painfully loud. I'll go to catch Abbath and Midnight for the most part, though Obituary isn't bad.

Got my tix. Kamelot then this in the same week. Should be a fun week.

Fuck Abbath and Immortal. Here's the real reason why you need to go:

“Man how time flies...it’s hard to believe that it has been three decades since the release of our debut album. With that said, the band wants to make this US Tour something extra special for our fans. We are excited to announce that we will be celebrating this with a setlist heavily dosed with songs off of Slowly We Rot!!
AND....to make this fun & interesting we are turning to the fans each day to help us pick which Slowly songs we will perform that night and the ones you guys want to hear. This will be a challenge for the band as we haven’t played some of these songs in decades so, we are dusting the Cobwebs off the old Slowly cassette and Re-learning all the songs and will be ready to perform them OnStage each night along with all the Fan Favorites from the Ob-Catalog.
...more details about just how this will shake down coming sooooon.
Til then, let’s hear which are your favorite songs off of Slowly and when you guys first heard them...”

Seeing them play a set full of Slowly We Rot tracks is going to be really sweet. I saw them back in may playing the entirety of Cause of Death and they were great (though they excluded "Dying" for some reason), so I'm expecting this to be just as great.
