Ok, first off hello, I just got an account on this site and I find it great that there are so many other metal lovers out there! I was wondering what the public opinion is on Metallica's Worldwired Tour being cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in North Carolina. I am going to the Charlotte showing in May and don't know if the virus will be cured by then. My father and I have been wanting to see this for a while now (my dad introduced me to Metallica. He had basically all of their CDs when he was my age) but we think it might be cancelled. Any thoughts? Does anybody think we will have a cure by then?

I'm guessing it will be cancelled. I think the chances of it happening are less than 1% at this point. I highly doubt it will be postponed with how many moving pieces go into a festival. Even if there is a "cure" by then, I don't think it'll be widely available enough for a big festival like this to happen on May 1st.

I was also looking forward to their concert here in Europe... hopefully this shit goes away soon and we can get back to drinking beers and listening to good music at festivals!
