11/03/2022 Gary, IN – Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana
11/04/2022 Cincinnati, OH – The Andrew J. Brady Music Center

I hate being that guy but what a stupid tour schedule. Playing the suburbs of Sacramento but not anywhere in the Northwest? Gary, Indiana?? And to basically be the most Halloweeny band but taking the day off for Halloween is bonkers; imagine the crowd that night!

Eh, I'm probably going to try to go the Inglewood show. I'll be seeing Kreator again a month later in Munich, so this is a pretty awesome way to make up for not being able to see them since 2017.

On one hand those are some weird venues and dates, especially for a band that hasn't toured in forever.

But on the other hand, they're coming to Cincinnati HYPE.

Beyond pumped for this as I've never seen Fate or Kreator before, and Midnight is one of my favorite "modern" bands.

HOWEVER, sucks the Boston date is the same date as Venom Inc and Eyehategod for which I already bought tickets.

I'm seeing $75 after fees for most of these, which seems about the normal price for a huge, theatrical show... I paid over $100 for crappy Priest seats earlier this year.

I saw $215 for floor tickets in Inglewood, and I dipped. I don't understand the appeal of seeing a metal show in stadium seats, personally.

I don't understand the appeal of needing to be on the floor for a show like this, personally. You'd rather not go at all than pay $100 for seats that are 50 feet further away?

I have tix for the Brooklyn show....really looking forward to it. Hank!

On another note, saw the Michael Schenker gig last night in NYC and it smoked! Ronnie Romero on vocals added a dimension that most of MSG's output has lacked: a powerful singer.

Sadly the LA show was way out of my budget so I ended up seeing Midnight down in Sandy Eggo, they absolutely leveled the place!

Also the merch on this tour is a complete rip-off, $80 for a hoodie and $40 for a Tshirt. A damn hoodie shouldn't cost the same or even more than the ticket to see the band.

Graham Bonnet and Robin McAuley aren't/weren't powerful?
Also, does Michael still wear the big furry hat?

That was a great show!! Midnight are quickly becoming one of my favorite live bands.

Those are pretty much standard prices for most name bands these days IMO. 35-40 for a shirt. Merch is where bands make their money in this day.

It's fucking rough out there. Venues are starting to take larger cuts of merch sales so artists are forced to jack up merch prices:

McAuley is, but I’ve always disliked Bonnet’s voice.

Yes, the bands gotta make the money somehow. Most people don't buy CDs anymore and streaming pays peanuts. I don't mind anymore paying that much for a shirt or hoodie.

Was at a Kreator Concert on August 15th, 2022.
These dudes covered Iron Maiden once, and boy, I was blown away! Don't stone me, guys, but it surpassed the original. Can't remember the song... maybe Fear of the Dark, The Trooper, The Wicker Man or Can I Play With Madness.
Does that makes sense?
