I drove up to Las Vegas this last weekend and caught the opening show with some old friends from my hometown of Needles, CA. This was an incredible show! All four bands were in excellent form (though Obituary did suffer from some technical issues). I had not seen Carcass before, which was a pretty great experience. As for Amon Amarth, I'd only seen them once around six and a half years ago in San Diego. Their stage show has certainly grown more bombastic over the years, though I don't want to give anything away. It was solid entertainment, and though I do wish they'd play stuff from the Versus the World era and prior, they played a solid fucking set.

I'll be seeing this tour again in San Diego, as it'll be my last weekend in the area before I move back to the desert to finish up school online. If anybody has the chance to see this show, I'd definitely recommend it!

P.S. - Merch was really expensive at the show. I don't know if it was Vegas, this particular tour, or if that is just how things are going lately. My buddy bought a long-sleeve Cattle shirt and it was $50. That might just be normal now, though.

It's been a couple months but yeah, I liked this show. Packed house right from the beginning. All 4 bands were on point. My only complaint is that I would have liked a bit longer Cattle Decapitation set, but oh well. What they did play was great.

Amon Amarth was as usual flawless.
