I am posting this in The Tavern because it's somewhat kitschy. But if you find yourself bored enough for 20 minutes....

Top Reviewed Bands On Metal-Archives:
https://www.sporcle.com/games/jimbies/t ... l-archives

Common Words In Metal Band Names:
https://www.sporcle.com/games/Trinity85 ... band-names

The "most reviewed bands" one was created by me (and I've edited it a couple time to keep up with the ever-changing list), but I am surprisingly bad at the common words one. I think the highest I've ever scored was like, 68 or 69 on the Common Words one. I seem to forget some obvious entries.

I got 28 out of 100 on the 2nd one and honestly it was just the timer lol. When afterwards i saw the other answers so many were obvious but i don't work well when I see a clock ticking down on this kind of stuff.

But I did get #s 1, 2, 4, 10 and quite a few of the most obviously high ranking words.

That many reviews for Dream Theater? Yikes! I got 45 BTW.

Putting together the "most reviewed" quiz made me think how weird it is that some bands that are much more popular names aren't in the top 100. Motley Crue, Def Leppard aren't on there. I figured due to the sheer amount of releases, Deep Purple would be in. I thought Edguy and Primal Fear would be ahead of Gamma Ray.

I guess some artists are in there due to the amount of releases (Buckethead, Saxon). With Mastodon being in, I'm surprised Baroness isn't. It'll be interesting to see how this morphs over time.

1st: 35%
2nd: 25% (should have been 26%, I was typing "war" when the clock stopped)
I should leave the hall :(

I think I got 43 on the most reviewed bands and like 28 on the most popular names. I found that sometimes even when you type a correct answer it doesnt always take it; on the second one I got "Drudkh" "Emporer" and "Stratovarius" (based on the country clue) and at least one other one right but it rejected it- maybe I spelled them wrong?

And yeah there were a few suprises on the most reviewed list. Deathspell Omega and Agalloch get in over Motley Crue, Possessed, and Def Leppard? I mean, no offense to those bands but...surprising how many more reviews they got.

I didn't do the most reviewed bands quiz. I've never paid attention to the review section of the website, therefore I didn't feel like guessing.

Scored 40 out of 100 in the second quiz.

52 and 46 respectively. Almost a passing grade?

It also warms my heart that "Bong" was not a top result in the second one.

I think the most-reviewed thing is pretty close to a "most popular".

I'm kinda surprised that Hades Archer didn't make the "Most Reviewed Bands" list.

If you've never heard of the band, then you probably don't remember April 1, 2014, the day that one of their releases probably ended up with more reviews than all of Metallica's combined discography...

Yeah I don't think this data is accurate. I did some searches on words like "mind" and "circle" which had more hits than some of the words on this list.

I also think it's buggy. For the review thing, I am 100% sure I inputted Immortal, Rotting Christ, and a couple of others that didn't "take", apparently. I'm also reasonably sure I tried "Thrash" for keywords too ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But anyway, my scores (I admit I paused to think a few times, but hey, it's allowed, so w/e):
