It is really good to read that, Resident. Thank you.

Things have turned around really well and rather suddenly, actually. A close relative who had been sent to the hospital with meningitis recovered and is back home, and I started dating a wonderful woman, among other things. So, things are better now. Much better.

That's really good, mate. :)

I appreciate the clarification. It's good that you realize how good/lucky you have it at the moment. It's easy for us to miss those moments and fuck 'em up only to realize how good they were after the fact. Recognizing what we have is maybe the best way to keep it going.

Good to hear things are looking up.

I feel you on the commiseration with strangers thing. Sometimes it definitely feels like those close to you will smile and nod and comfort along with all of your bullshit because it's their job to do that sort of thing. So, unloading on people who you can't count on to have that biased view, and getting confirmation that you're in the right, or on the right track, or whatever the case may be, is a really good feeling. I know that it's just a big ol' injection of confirmation bias egofuel since you're telling things from a skewed perspective most of the time (this is the royal "you" here), but man, it feels good anyway, so fuck it.

Long Island Ice Teas? Mate I'm good with one for the night. Just tried my first last week, it was absolutely delicious.

If made properly it IS absolutely delicious. I never stop at one but then again I am Polish. And I like my booze. So that kind explains it.

Minor Threat's "Complete Discography" is about 48 minutes in total length, and of those 48, about 38 of them sound the exact same. Fight me.

Long Island Iced Tea strikes me as something that was invented accidentally through a game of King’s Cup. I mean, who would have thought putting all those different drinks in there together was a good idea?

You guys fucks with Dead Moon? Stripped down punk rock from the grave, with just a hint of country/western. I've been a fan for awhile but it looks like Spotify has their entire god damn library so I've been going in. Live Evil is a great place to dig in for anyone who is curious.

My dad lives on LITs lol. They are extra dangerous when home made. I mostly drink at home so it's just bourbon on ice for the kid. I'm not trying to mix 80 liquors.

This is it, indeed. Talking to people who might as well tell you to fuck off and be entirely justified is actually quite helpful.

And thanks to you too, notbruce.

Even if this is true (and it is not) those are glorious and awesome 48 minutes with no bad song between them. Amen.

As for Long Island Ice Teas - putting those drinks together may have sounded like a mad scientist 50's comic books plot but resulted in a mind-melting and yummy experience. Fun for all.

The correct answer to this is "I don't like Korn."

Go for it. I'm unsure of the procedure in America but in Australia it's actually stupidly easy to get a vasectomy. No doctor referral needed, just book and go.

One of my friends from high school has a vasectomy baby. He and his wife have like 6 kids. One birth control baby, one vasectomy baby, and probably one of that brood was planned. So those things can reverse, just so you're aware.

But kudos. The last thing this planet needs is more people.

If I want to be extra sure I just pound an extra Long Island Ice Tea and wear a Toxic Holocaust/Holy Terror shirt. Always works :)

That dude is seriously unlucky. I was told that there is a small chance, however unlikely, that the vasectomy failed. I have to get checked in 3 months to see if it worked.

But...damn, your friend must've crossed a lot of black cats.

Get two. It's more effective if done on both sides.

It can actually heal in some cases. But him and his wife were clearly way too fertile since they have a whole brood.

I stopped at one kid. That is plenty.

There is no fight to win here. Minor Threat is an AMAZING band and almost nothing in hardcore/punk touches them (apart from Bad Brains, 1st Cro-Mags album, 1st Discharge etc.).

I never said I didn't like them. I own that compilation. But, most of the songs do indeed sound the same!

Black Flag is far superior.

I hope you aren't being serious and are only joking about smoking joints of marijuana cigarettes. Not only is that illegal in many states and countries, but the danger of mental breakdown and physical decay is too great to ever justify puffing the devil's lettuce.

Not commenting on pot in particular, but smoking is absolutely always bad for you. Pretending otherwise is just that: pretending.

The only truly safe way to take marijuana is to pack it into a suppository.
