If VH1 documentaries are anything to go by, Cherry Pie is pretty much the worst nickname you could give to Jani Lane.

I remember watching a couple documentaries (Vague "80's Metal" retrospectives) where Jani Lane bluntly stated that he hated that song. It was one of those things where the record company wanted a hit, so he wrote it as a sort of throwaway song and it ironically became their biggest and best known hit.

I was never really into the band; although I liked SOME glam rock, I always thought Warrant were one of those bands who were a bit TOO glam if you get my meaning. By the time they came out in the late 80's I thought that whole sound had been played out.

That pool scene, with the hard liquor in hand at night floating in the pool :ugh: was heartbreaking. That song really destroyed that guy.

Do you mean the Chris Holmes pool interview? Or did Jani Lane has a similar situation go on? I cant seem to find anything with him in a pool.

The album is amazing!! Jari Lane was an incredible song writer. Perfect arrengements and melodies... Still think the best song would be Andy Warhold Was Right, lyrics and the intro are really deep.
