Along with metallic slam, I've been getting into more of the HxC side of things too, basically hardcore punk with slam features. Clearly not metal but still some cool stuff.

I've been following SLAM WORLDWIDE closely and have found some really cool bands. Any suggestions?

Ages of Atrophy is pretty good.

What do you think about the new Black Tongue?

With BDHC I love Bulldoze, Everybody Gets Hurt or Knuckledust

Also Clubber Lang had a sick BDHC/metallic HC EP and then just disappeared:

It's quite hard to fine actual beatdown hardcore with how often it's misused on tough guy groove metalcore or deathcore with slam riff bands.
(btw all deathcore is inherently metal lol)

New Black Tongue is easily their best material but I noticed way less mosh inducing deathcore this time around. They really emphasized a more death/sludge metal sound which is both strange and not-so strange.

Not really my favorite kind of music, but I get why people like it. I prefer aggressive with either a little more melody or a little more flow to the riffs, and I've never been into those whole tough-angry-dude cliché's that you hear with some of that stuff.
