As a lot of bands fall through the cracks on bandcamp due to the sheer number in which music is released there on a daily basis, why not have a thread about the stuff that has fallen through the cracks a bit. This thread is about bands that receive very very little attention and have hardly any "fans" on their site.

I found this band by taken one part of a name of a cover band and throw it in the bandcamp search in order to see what results I would get.

This band from Mexico has only released one ep so far. Their twitter and facebook sites looks pretty abandoned, but their music is actually not bad. Sure, the vocals could be better at times, but the song have a nice catchiness. There is a lot of energy in the performance and also the production is not too bad. As I am not too familiar with the type of music they play, I go with the tags that have added to their release: alternative, rock, dance-punk, post-punk.

I have added their ep to the list of releases I want to buy next bandcamp friday.

Definitely a nice idea.
My go-to band when I think of unappreciated bands is Help.
They are a DSBM band with slight post-punk influences. I enjoy their melancholic sound, the distorted guitars create a wall of sound that is carefully flourished with the clean guitars and bass. It's the type of stuff that can feel good to just zone out to, while your bad feelings channel with the songs and then eventually go away, but it also has nice dynamics going on if you pay attention to it, which is kinda key for this sort of music. Their first album is still my favorite, although the second has better production values and more complex compositions and overall better technical performance from the band, I think it lacks in the mood aspect that the first album offers. Still a great album though.

Great idea for a thread!

Sounds right up my alley; I'll bookmark them for later. DSBM seems to mix really well with other genres, particularly the more spacy and atmospheric genres.

Not sure they qualify, but their Bandcamp site doesn't show many supporters.
It's sludge/industrial/doom/post-hardcore loosely in the vein of Godflesh, early Scorn, Swans, Neurosis, but somewhat colder and more artificial sounding and with songs that are more riff-based and generally more catchy than those bands. Nothing revolutionary, but they had their own, original sound going on.
I keep going back to their albums from time to time and I think they were/are very underrated. They could have been much more popular as an underground/independent band.
Years ago I even wrote to them asking what was going on with the band and the guy that apparently was the main man behind it was so gracious but basically said that he laid it to rest because of lack of interest both from himself and the audience.

Star of Ash - obscure arty-experimentally-ambienty not sure-core.

Apparently the album 'The Thread' appears in only 8 other collections, which is just criminal. Candlelight put it out, which is even weirder !
