Stone Sour

A swing and a miss!

Eh, Vol. 3 sounded like a heavier version of Stone Sour, which shares 2 members with Slipknot (which I'm sure everyone knows).

Yeah, and the new album also sound similar to Stone Sour.

Well, I dunno about that...

Well, dead memories does. I haven't really listened to it.

The reason people say All Hope Is Gone sounds like Stone Sour is because its Slipknot most melodic album. Its also arguably their most metal.

Why would you want bands like slipknot? Slipknot is not a band, it's a fucking gang, nine members, that's no band to me, all a band needs is a drummer, bassist, guitar, and vocals, Slipknot blows regardless of their members anyways.

We are currently talking about the first album, rather than the crappy releases after. That said, bands can accomplish a lot on more than four members. I wont bring up Unexpect since they're not really for everyone, but if you dare say Phlebotomized's "Immense, Intense, Suspense" isn't at least good quality I will immediately believe that you are lacking in all forms of good taste.

By that reasoning, Iron Maiden can't be too great huh?

I mean I'm no big fan of Slipknot, but some of their songs are remotely enjoyable and the drummer isn't TOO bad compared to the metalcore and nu metal etc that's out there.
