I'm just surprised this thread isn't here yet. Anyone voted yet? Any bets made? My co-worker wagered a bottle of Scotch that McCain would win against his friend, back in July. He thinks he's going to lose that bet.

But, discuss away.

I'd say the polls are in Obama's favor, but never underestimate the stupidity of the American voter. The bradley effect is also a major concern of mine, but like I said before Obama has the upper hand.

I voted for McCain a couple of hours ago.

At best my candidate will win and at worst I get to do what the democrats have done the past 8 years which is get online and whine and moan while placing all the worlds troubles on the shoulders of one man.

I voted by absentee ballot for Charles Jay. I've decided never to vote for a major party as long as there are less than three of them.

I expect Obama will win despite the Bradley effect.

Fingers crossed on an Obama victory south of the 49th. I don't particularly like him or his mindless empty promises but the thought of another possible four years of a Bushesque president, nevermind Palin as a VP (president Palin, I'd be hoping for assassination on that one) frighten me greatly.

What? You liked Bush? It must be weird to be in such a small minority.

How can it be shown to be insignificant, we won't know until the American people cast their votes and by that point it will be too late. I wish I could share your enthusiasm, but I still find it hard to believe that Obama will win at all, let alone by 100 electoral votes.

While Obama may very well win this you cannot really sit there and pretend a large amount of people in the states will not vote McCain. It is not going to be a "landslide" by any means.

And yes I did like Bush and supported him both terms :).

Again I am not bitter at all if Obama wins, I sincerely hope he does a fine job of leading this nation if he is elected and will be interested to see if he can live up to his promises.

Don't be absurd, California and New York alone will nearly be 100 electoral votes.

I never asked you to respect it, "Bush haters" for like of better term can be so precious when they try to get to you I have just learned to smile and nod and they eventually crawl back to the blogs.

Not pointing any fingers at you I am just saying I do not let the words of someone with a differing ideology bother me.

I can honestly say no matter who wins this election I am not going to be entirely upset. Despite him not being my first choice if Obama can live up to what he says he will be a wonderful President.

Not trying to pick a fight here, but I'm actually curious about this. Do you still support him now? Do you consider him to be a good president, or a bad one? I can't get my head around the idea that for how badly things are going anyone can look back and go 'you know what, he did a good job', so if you are pro-Bush helping me understand your logic would be nice.

Neither of them can really be wonderful presidents...America's voting between a douche and a turd as South Park once so glamourously put it. I'm not sure which one would be worse than the other, but I guess I'd rather see McCain as president instead of Obama by some small inexplicable preference.

This one is a bit tough for me to answer without going completely off track but I will try to sum it up as best I can.

Do I consider him a good president? No not exactly and I will be the first to join you in pointing out many faults and where I think he failed as President.

That being said I still stand by my decision of supporting him over Gore and Kerry due to varying political issues that mattered to me at the time of the election in which case I thought he better represented my beliefs.

Help any?

Voted Bob Barr a little over an hour ago. They even had a straight ticket libertarian option on the ballot, it made me happy.

No, that he'll win by more than 100 electoral votes, which the preliminary polls showed this whole month.

I proudly voted for Obama. The failed policies of the Republicans will only drive this country further into the ground, plus Sara Palin.

I'm glad I voted. It felt great. :)

A friend of mine who is an advent believer of ancient prophecies told me this over MSN:
My buddy wrote:
First, the whole political process is manipulated..Both sides serve the greater agenda. The whole system itself is modeled after machiavellian ideologies. Obama himself is none other than a "prince"..The elites are working their agenda right through him.

Whoever believes he'll bring any change is sorellyyyyyyyy Fucking kidding themselves. Hes gonna bring much more disarray for the american people now that the VAST majority are supporting him.

This is how it works. Bush fuckss the country up(as he has done throughout his presidency) and Obama will come in with the momentum to further strip liberties and dismantle the consitution - with a miminum amount of dissent All this will inevitably lead(to anyone with a brain with knowledge) to the proverbial NWO government.

His wifes a board member for a glbalist organization - ie; the CFR
His economic advisor is a former alumni of Yale and a member of the ultra secretive skull and bones fraternity. North American society is gonna look increasingly socialistic over his term,.

I could continue, Like his name in Hebrew/arabic(both highly mystical languages) The blessed handsome leader(sounds messianic eh?)

Guys a Fuckin sham.

Youre life will be 5 x worse 2 years from now

I would bet my life on it.

I am not sure how I feel about the entire conspiracyish stuff he has attached on there but I will agree to an extent Obama will not be able to deliver much of what he has promised.

Of course what presidential candidate ever does fully deliver?

Time will tell I suppose.

Just like the democrats did in 2004?

And 00?

And every election after 1984?

EDIT: I just realized you could have been being sarcastic, in which case I fail hard. :boo:

I'm kind of suprised McCain got SC. I suppose he'll get the majority of the southern states.
