Argghhh I dropped my Creative Zen Vision M pretty bad a few weeks back, and more recently it has been resetting every time I turn it on. Thus, I have to wait about 15 minutes before I can start playing any music on it. When the bulk of my car trips are about 20-30 minutes, this is a significant problem. Guess I'll get the new Zune 120GB, but I hear it doesn't have any EQ settings which would be quite infuriating.

And FasterDisaster, for Apple thinner always = better. No exceptions. None.

You could probably tell this to Nokia, Sony Ericsson, and other phone companies who make phones impossibly small that you can't even press the tiny buttons.

My main arguement was with the fact that the Video iPod is so damn thin. Usually I can use the scroll wheel without any scrolling issues (usually scrolls consistently in the 360 degree motion without stopping in certain points in the wheel), but with this generation, I find it almost impossible to use the scrollwheel without running into problems of functionality simply because, well, I guess Apple thinks my standard-sized man hands are way too big for their machine.

So what do you have? I'll assume a 5th generation 80gb or 160gb iPod? Because I have the 80gb model, and I haven't had a trouble with it being too thin. Maybe I'm just used to it.

I will not upgrade to an iPod touch until they make one with a decent capacity. Besides, the classic models are good enough for me.

Yes, that is what it is. I think that also made the scrollwheel smaller as well, which is probably why I am having trouble with it.

Hmm, okay. I never really noticed (although I did begin with a 4th generation 30gb model, so the differences were negligible). You'll more than likely get used to it pretty quickly.

Nope. Like I said, it's the way my thumb moves across the scrollwheel. I can't change that without bending my thumb in some strange position. I've had it for at least a year now and it's still giving my issues. Albeit, minor issues, but still pesky issues.

I listen to music on my Nintendo DS with a CycloDS Evolution and a 8 GB MicroSD card. Might seem odd, but it works great.

Before that I had a Sandisk Sansa View. Definatly the best MP3 player I've used, and I would not hesitate to buy another of SanDisk's MP3 players if I needed one.

And before that I had a few made by Creative. They were designed very well, but something always went wrong. ZEN Nano Plus would hold 1GB, but only play 1/3 of it. ZEN V Plus worked great untill I sold it to my sister, then the screen crapped out. ZEN had absolutely terrible battery life, and the screen cracked in under a month.

I fell in love with my iPhone. Its only the 8gb, so I can't hold much, but I figure I only listen to a few artists at a time anyways, so I can rotate them whenever I feel like it.

I used to have a Zen Vision W, but the screen broke, so I sent it in to be repaired, that wasn't free. So they mail me one back. WITH A FUCKING SMASHED SCREEN. I called them, they said it had to have been in shipping that it was broken because they didn't do it. But the box was in tact, so UPS said they didn't do it. Well, long story short, a year and a half and I have given up. I'll never get an intact one back. So, from then on, I've been an iPod guy.

How fucked! I remember when I had to sent mine to revision. 2 years ago I dropped it so bad it wouldn't load anything from my music library. Warranty was still available so I sent it and got it back. Just as new! That's why I will always break my MP3 players within a year :).
And Sony is just a great dealer, they did't complain though it was my mistake that make the player stopped working.
So I'll sitck to Sony this time. And hell yeah, iTunes sucks!
