Got any concert souvenirs you would like to share with us? I have a drumstick I caught at the Judas Priest concert in Saskatoon, SK, Canada a few months back.

I would love to have a Slayer Guitar pic.

I was close to getting a drum stick from The Trews, and also Seether. My friend got a Seether guitar pic , the guitarist pointed him out to the security guard and got him to give the pic to him. We have had some great fucking times. Also, Eric Singer autographed picture, I met him, and he signed this for me.

I got in a pushing match with 4 or 5 other guys over Arch Enemy's Drumstick, from their gig in Toronto awhile back. I lost :(

I also spent like half an hour searching for Firewind's guitar pick at the same show, but the bastard beside me ended up finding it with his penlight :grumble:

I tried doing that once for my little brother when he was in the hospital, I was at a Disturbed concert for him, he always wanted to go to one and my brother plays drums a lot like me, the guy right beside my caught the stick, I was trying to talk to him after the show to get it, explaining that my brother was in the hospital and had always wanted a disturbed stick, he ignored me and kept walking, I was ready to punch him in the face until my mom came up to me and told me to leave, I didn't want to fight in front of my mom again because last time she phoned the police and I ended up in jail.

Fuck yeah that counts man, I've always wanted to go to a GWAR show, I saw videos on the internet and the stage shows they have look so badass, my older brother has seen them once and said it was amazing.
I love when they bring Adolf Hitler out and he pisses on the crowd.

I have a drum stick from the drummer of Inquisition, and a pick from Muhammed of Necrophagist as well as one of the guitar players from The Faceless, I'm not sure which.

Oooh finally a thread in which I can show off! I've been one lucky bastard when it comes to getting guitar picks. From memory I have picks from

Arch Enemy
Motorhead
Korpiklaani
Amon Amarth (four of them)
Slayer
Nightwish
Machine Head
Exodus (two)
Novembers Doom
Black Sabbath (An Iommi pick, i am indeed privileged)

I'm sure there's more but I can't think from memory

Set lists from

Korpiklaani
Gorgoroth
Skid Row
Abgott
Evile
Grand Magus
Firewind

I also got half a pint of cider from Phil Campbell of Motorhead fame and I caught a towel that Mustis of Dimmu Borgir threw into the crowd.

No drumsticks though :P

Caught a pick at Blind Guardian two years ago (take that, all you assholes standing around me!!) but other than that, nothing. Something about concert souvenirs feels kinda weird to me, can't quite place what.

My Vader shirt that I wore to the gig still is covered in fake blood/semen.

I also have setlists from;

Epica, Carcass, Nightwish, Amon Amarth, Iron Savior, Eluveitie.

Drumsticks from:

Carcass (that's right), Flo Mounier (yeah on Summer Slaughter when they sucked, but fortunately Flo is fucking godly).

Guitar picks from;

Amon Amarth (Olavi personally gave it to me for singing along with him during Death in Fire :metal:)
Eluveitie (citar pick actually, or however that's spelled)
Blind Guardian
Symphony X (Michael Romeo!)
Cannibal Corpse
Behemoth
Arsis

I include pictures with certain band members souvenirs, considering some people aren't as cool about it as others.

Ralph Santolla (on the recent Obituary tour)
All the members of Eluveitie, twice
Mikael Stanne
Lars Larsen
All the guys from Keep of Kalessin
Gus G
James Malone
Suffocation's bassist (name I forget)
Kataklysm's vocalist

I've never caught a drum stick, but I did get a pic once from the band 3. Other than that I usually just my ticket signed. I've got signed stuff from Dream Theater (Portnoy, and Myung), Between the Buried and Me (Dusty, Blake, Paul), Opeth (Martin Axe), James Malone of Arsis, and two of the guys from Porcupine Tree.

Yeah, same here. Gwar rules live.

I met Jason Peppiate(sp?) from Psycroptic before Cryptopsy's set at Summer Slaughter. We talked and he ended up giving me a shirt. Pretty cool guy.

I got a Dismember drum stick. I had a bottle of water from Carcass, but I was drunk and thirsty on the night so I drank it.

I'm going to a Gwar show this Saturday. I have to remember to wear some shitty clothes.

Anyways, my friend often gets stuff from concerts. Stuff like bottles, bottle caps, picks, etc. However, they often come from shitty bands like FFDP and BFMV.

Well that's because he has to stop going to shitty shows, nobody wants a fucking water bottle, I remember Avenged Sevenfold came with a bunch of other pussy metal bands and all they threw out were water bottles, that's not the right way to treat a fucking audience, they want cool stuff, a drumstick, set list, guitar pic, maybe an autograph, start going to bigger shows, and the bands treat you better.

Steve Swanson handed me his guitar pick after a set several years ago. And I still have the white t-shirt I wore at a Gwar show 3 years back, but that's about it.

I have a guitar pick from Dark Tranquillity.

Also, Nicko McBrain's drumstick hit me in the head, but I wasn't able to get it because other 4 people jumped over me. If that counts, heh.

I have two pictures of myself with Iced Earth, a signed poster from them, and my friend got hit in the head with Jon Schaffer's pick. That's about it.

Om autographed by the guys from Negura Bunget, if that counts.

Other than that, I don't really care for souvenirs and getting pushed and kicked just for trying to get a pick or a drumstick. Besides, I'm a skinny guy so I would be losing everytime I tried :P

I have a picture with Dana Duffey and one with Shane Embury... There are probably a few more I can't think of.

Some friends and I drove all the way to New York city to see Immortal at the BB King, with "VIP" tickets... That basically meant we got a poster and could have it signed by the guys after the show.

That's pretty much all I have as a souvenir of the shows I attended. Of course I keep all my tickets, but that probably doesn't count :P

I'm working on a collection of signed guitar picks (not necessarily belonging to the guitarist, I bring my own and ask for signatures afterwards). I've got the dude from Demon Hunter's pick and a signed one from Josh whatsisface from The Showdown. Unfortunately, nothing beyond a shirt and a hoodie from that Kataklysm gig. I also have a Showdown poster somewhere with David Bunton's autograph on it.

I was going to a concert with a bunch of local bands. After the show me and some friends went out drinking with the members of one of the bands. A lot of booze later, we somehow got ahold of exclusive video footage of this band wrecking their own practice room as well as some surrounding rooms.

Afterwards, they actually tried to pay us and shit to try and get rid of this footage, as they did get in quite a lot off trouble with the guy who owned the building, and they knew that if he somehow got ahold of any kind of proof that they were to blame, they would be kicked out and have nowhere to practice anymore.

We took the money, but saved a copy of the footage anyway. I have no idea where it is today though.

Aside from that, I've caught a few picks. That's nothing special.

Yeah, but the thing is the hospital story was true, although some people are too ignorant to believe it, I understand completely. I am not the kind of person to harm somebody for a small souvenir, but I felt so bad going back to Regina, and seeing my brother in the hospital and telling him I hadn't gotten him anything.

Carfinex is the only band that I literally turned around and stared the opposite direction (at the front rail) when they opened for Obituary. I found it more amusing to count the number of real metalheads in the place.

You're right, I didn't say metal concert, but it is quite obvious it should be metal related, seeing as you are on METAL archives.

And had you posted it in metal discussion I would not have said anything. However you are in the tavern and this place just happens to be where we have the most non metal discussion :).

 Disregard my earlier statement about souvenirs being a little weird--you have everyone else in this thread beat by a country mile.

Hey the op never said it had to be a metal concert.

I have seen Rod Stewart five times now, he puts on a great show.

You're right, I didn't say metal concert, but it is quite obvious it should be metal related, seeing as you are on METAL archives.

And had you posted it in metal discussion I would not have said anything. However you are in the tavern and this place just happens to be where we have the most non metal discussion :).

I suppose you are correct, but Metal Discussion just feels like it is more about music, not this shit.
