I wasn't exactly spoiled rotten, but I did get some neat gifts, like a Terrorizer subscription and a new cell phone (mobile phones, as they're called in Australia). A monitor is a very nice gift! It improves the computer a hell of a lot more than you'd think.

Neither I nor anyone else has ever paid for a new phone for me, I've always gotten them for free with my plan! And I pay for my own magazine subscriptions. So there, you are spoiled rotten! Ha!

And believe me, I've been thoroughly enjoying my new monitor. :D

I have a pre-paid thing going, so all my phones must be paid for. I'll stay off as many damn contracts as I can. :) While it's a nice phone, I've encountered a couple of problems with it, with the biggest one being text messaging. The buttons are harder to press and the top row of buttons are hard to reach (it's a slide phone). Still, in time, I'll get used to it.

My brother paid for my subscription last year, and that was one thing I definitely wanted this year, too, so he got me that, as well. He spent a lot on me, getting me the subscription and the phone.

That is hardly spoiled rotten, when you compare my haul to those of others here.

Band shirts are better to get for yourself using Christmas money.

I only got $40, and I'll be damned if I'm going to spend it on clothes. I think it's a little funny, but every Christmas when I was a wee lad, I got clothes when I didn't necessarily want them. One year I email my mom a wishlist, I get none.

The cruel hands of fate are upon me.

Well,it looks like Xmas was a good cheer and almost everyone seemed to get what they wanted despite the very tough economy that has it 2008 onward.
It's always amusing to see what people get to make it a very Metal Christmas. Mine was very low-key. My mom left town that morning to go visit my sister since Christmas morning is less busy at the airport. Chrismas Eve for me was pretty much the height of it all. Kind of like New Years' Eve. Basically on Xmas Eve we head on over to my grandma's for a big tamale dinner and exchanging of gifts etc. And then when we get home, it's customery to throw in a good movie on the DVD. For the last ten years or so, Christmas Day has always been low-key but especially this year. But movies have always been the thing to watch on that day. I went and saw the quite good Valkyrie.

Oh, and one thing that pisses me off about the onset of Christmas(usually starting on Black Friday) is that the local FM oldies station plays Christmas music NOTHING BUT fucking Xmas until after the 25th. How many times can they possibly play Felix Navidad and every other dreadful holiday pop songs for twenty six days? I'm pretty certain that station has lost plenty of Jewish listeners since they've begun doing that. So,yes I listen to oldies in the car when there's nothing good on the classic rock station.
