In hopes of getting into Swans i downloaded Soundtracks For The Blind. So far i'm really enjoying it, but a bunch of tracks are whacky. By whacky i mean that the length for Helpless Child is listed at 15:48, yet i'm currently at 17:05. Now i've never had this problem before, and nothing else is being weird except this album. I can't really tell if i had been listening to the song for an actual 19:02(now) or if it's actually just 15:48 and itunes is just speeding up the visual counter of time. It also only happens to certain tracks (I Was A Prisoner In Your Skull and Helpless Child)

Never listened to this album before, so it also leaves the problem that possible tracks are condensed i would never know.

Also, Yum-Yab killers is listed and sounds like it's live. Is this how the normal cd is?
As you can tell, of course i downloaded this.

I have something wrong like that that happens to me in iTunes, except with some songs, I think mainly Drudkh's Anti Urban the songs are listed as a certain length, but they will stop playing halfway through.

It would suggest that those music files are corrupted somehow.

The VBR header in the file is corrupt. Download this and load the mp3s into it, and it should write new mp3s with the correct header, fixing the time-code problem.

i've had the opposite problem sometimes. A song length will be like 40 minutes for a song that's about 3 minutes. I fix it by making an ACC version. idk maybe that'll help...

I had the same problem with an Amon Amarth album and all the songs were listed at being over 40mins long. It only showed up in itunes and my ipod, but not on winamp which is what I actually use to playback music on the computer.
