My headphones broke yesterday after a long train ride. I need to get a pair of noise cancelling headphones. I had the Bose Quiet Comfort 2 headphones that go over the ear.

Money is not really an issue when it comes to headphones, so do you think I should get another Bose or is there another company that puts out good headphones. My goal is to isolate as much outside sound as possible.

I have a pair of Sennheiser pxc300's

Love em, they're really lightweight and comfy, sound pretty good and the noise cancelling is decent. I usually use them when flying or on the bus/train and they never make my ears sore or anything.

If your primary want is the noise-canceling feature, I'd just get a new pair of the Bose. I've never heard headphones that isolate the sound that well.

My problem with headphones is that they really weren't designed for people with glasses.
You guys know any comfy ones?

I have that same problem. The Bose are not bad with glasses, but it can get a bit annoying at times.

I don't have the money to shell out for those, so I just got some sound eliminating earmuffs for doing yardwork for twenty bucks, and got some earbuds and stuck them inside. Same difference and way cheaper.

Posted this somewhere else, but I have a pair of Philips headphones that are behind-the-neck with a noise cancelling component. Best headphones I've used and they only cost about $50.
