Oh, I just realized I took those with my old camera which wasn't a DSLR, so you can ignore my previous statement about the lens. That one had an integrated zoom lens. Anyways, here's the exif for one of them (can't find the other one for some reason)

Ah, at times, the zoom on a digital camera does help. This is what I could salvage. Not that great in my opinion.

Those are really nice.

@shouvince: The resolution isn't that great but with a bit of vertical cropping this would make a badass sig on another forum.

@Morrigan, md666 : Actually those are compression artifacts, not individual pixels :|

Yeah man, I could only get that much with a 135mm lens on an APS-C sensor. The resolution isn't great because I had cropped and resized the image for the benefit of the forum. If you want, I got the original RAW file.

Anyway, the image is all yours. Crop it vertically and make it a sig :)

wanted to show everyone how brave I am, lurking around graveyards at night, even though I thought i saw something run across the far side, a deer possibly (which made no noise :???: ), hearing strange musical sounds, and have a bird (owl? bat?) buzz me when I shone my torch up a tree.

Yes they're compression artifacts :| (you sure?)

Spoiler: show

Thanks! It's taken down by the lake here, the ice on the lake must be 40-50cm thick now.

I hope to see more photos from you, it's been a while!

I HATE to use phones for taking pictures.

The sea is quite savage here at the moment and we have been taking some nice pictures and videos this afternoon.
I'll upload them later.

Keep 'em coming!

Gallery slideshow doesn't work :(
These look really promising but I won't open them all individually. Too many of them.
Downloading all works neither.

Went for a small road trip last weekend up to Auckland and the Coromandle. The land was so dry and yellow it was like i was in Australia ,even when i was high up in the hills there was a heat haze on the veiw, all which made for really crappy photo opportunity's.New Zealand need's frost and snow and shit to make a decent photo.

Here's a few i took anyway

Image

Hobbiton.....no really it's not far at all from the real place
Image

i had to erase the penis grafete off this one,it just didn't fit the picture....actually i still see part of a ball bag

Yeah mate, I love my fishing chasing (on mostly lures) bream, flathead, whiting, kingfish, bonito, Aussie salmon (great sportfish, terrible eating. You call them kahawai I think?) etc... I didn't get a chance to do any fishing on our holiday over there, too much driving to do, but i want to have crack next time I'm back. What are you hoping to catch tomorrow?

 that's why I have my own camera for when I'm out fishing.

i would love to catch and taste some bream, flathead or whiting.

I catch a lot of kahawai (aussie salmon) and despite what most people think, i like the taste.(I better put in a pic to keep thing's on topic)

hopefully snapper and gurnad (sooo good) but a trevally / lemon fish (small tasty shark) or kahawai will do me fine

Fuck "On Topic", I didn't want to see gory dead things without any scenic value to speak of in a landscape/scenic/nature thread.

And not a bad one at that. Did you use heavy gear? Or lighter lines and tackle? I caught one of those bad boys on three kilo line and a light bream rod. Put up one hellavu fight.

No, the common name is poison pie, I've read people who have eaten them experience intense vomiting, diarrhea and abominable pains.
