I took something like 4,000 photos on my recent trip to Japan. Don't wanna flood the thread, but I figured I'd revive it with a couple. These were taken on Yakushima.

Edit: Since I took so damn many photos on Yakushima, I decided to make a dedicated Instagram account where I'll post a different photo each day until I run out. If you like this sort of stuff, you can follow the account @yakushima.daily

I don't do much photographing in the summer, but some I have taken the last weeks:

Wow really cool photos! Thanks for the inspiration. I'm planning my trip to Sweden on my Christmas holidays. Want to spend a week in Stockholm. l've already booked an apartments and checked area phone codes on site just in case. Hope I'll like my trip and I'll make many great photos.

Thanks!
''Wanderer Above the Sea of Fog'' (WITTR song) would be fitting.

Haha, yeah, you know, I actually think of that song every time I see photos of, or witness in person, that effect. I remember wandering around on Huangshan in China (perhaps the most famous location in the world for seeing this happen) and listening to that song a lot.

Oh, if anyone wants to see a new post of my forest photos from Yakushima Island, Japan (the inspiration for the forest in Princess Mononoke, containing tons of moss and giant, ancient cedars), feel free to follow the Instagram account I made that's dedicated to these pictures: @yakushima.daily

One of these days, I'm gonna make it to Norway. Forestcorpse and his pics will be my main inspiration for the trip.

And one of these days I'm gonna find a new picture hosting site so I can post pics again too. Still working on that one, since the demise of Photobucket.

Wow, where's that?

Here's some from Tongyeong, South Korea:

Here's a festival I went to a while ago in Jindo, Korea, where a few times a year the tide goes out so far that there's actually a path across the sea to an island:
Spoiler: show

And finally, I recently went on a trip to the eastern side of Korea to go camping by the rocky shore:
Spoiler: show

I also went back to Japan earlier this year and saw lots of beautiful things in Kyoto and Himeji, but I've been super lazy and haven't gone through the photos from that trip yet.

Two photos from the suburb I grew up in. Well, technically the 2nd required two photos stitched together:

Two photos of the beautiful and post-apocalyptic Mount Tarawera. One of my favourite places in New Zealand, partly for how fun it is to walk/slip down into there:

Really awesome! Did you mess with it in post processing, or did it just so happen to be really desaturated in the left side?

Cool photos as well, DeathKid. Great to see some new faces in this thread.

Looks great! I like to do minimal editing on mine too. Most commonly I crop and/or increase saturation a bit, but the first and last ones I posted on this page so far got no editing at all.

the ones in the spoiler could easily be album/demo covers for some obscure atmo doom/black metal one-man band :)

If you have photographs with dramatic sky colours, I would love to see that. Neon purple, blood red, monastral blue...

You are not missing anything, except for the low prizes we have here compared to EU. Anyhow, I figured out that December sky can be nice.

First short walk during lockdown here (day 7 of, yeah I don't get out much). Can't complain about living a 12 minute walk from a wildlife reserve right now. No filters, just sunrise colours, something I'm not normally conscious for!
