Well there's even very few Metal albums that I'd give perfect 100% to, even though very close. Anyway, here's some of my non metal favorite albums (no specific order):

DEPECHE MODE - Music For The Masses
JOY DIVISION - Closer
THE CURE - Disintegration
PSYCHE - The Influence
FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM - Elizium
DEVIL DOLL - The Girl Who Was... Death & Eliogabalus
MUSTA PARAATI - Peilitalossa

All Godspeed you Black Emperor albums-
Just a delicious mix of classical and ambient (and not orthodox 'post-rock'). Another band to listen to when everything seems a bit bleak , though they are awesome just about any time. Some say Yanqui isn't as good as the others. I Disagree, though it is great for slightly different reasons.

Tool- Aenima-
The perfect balance between progression and that early rawness of Tool. Probably the best album for both invoking thought and making you want to run through brick walls.

Explosions in the Sky- Those who tell the Truth shall die, those who tell the truth shall live forever.
Many think The Earth is not a Cold Dead Place is better, but this one seems to just pip it for me. And it's the first half of the album that does it. Except for Mono perhaps, EITS are the quintessential Post Rock band for mine.

Oasis- What's the Story? Morning Glory
Got me into music, so this album always holds a special place in my heart. Masterful , incredible rock album from start to finish. It was really their only great album though.

Agreed. All Godspeed... is godly

I slightly prefer Lateralus, but all Tool is good.

Those Who Tell The Truth... is my fav EITS album also.

Didn't like Oasis's debut? The B - Sides compilation is worth your time too.

I'm surprised I didn't see Marvin Gaye's What's Going On? listed here, so I'm mentioning that. I don't know what the metal consensus is on soul music, but I love this album.

Herbie Hancock's Head Hunters is also fantastic. Not sure if that was mentioned.

Another would be The La's The La's. Not a fan of Oasis or other contemporary British bands, but I've read this album jump-started British Pop, and I love it as well. The Stone Roses debut trumps it, though.

Seconding this. I'd give it a 100% as well. Low is my favorite Bowie album.

Alice Cooper - Billion Dollar Babies - One of the last great albums from the original group. Starts out very strong and then gets sick and twisted towards the end.

I'm sure there isn't a metal concensus on soul music, but I certainly like a good bit of it these days. Always been slightly more partial to the funkier end of things though. That Herbie album you mentioned is about perfect, for sure.

Love the Stone Roses. :)

Been hooked on Guided By Voices - Bee Thousand the last six months. Amazing album. The uncoolest of the early/mid 90's indie classics.

Also i'll mention Talk Talk - Spirit Of Eden, and Laughing Stock too. Timeless.

Appetite - Guns n Roses
Toxicity - SOAD
Bone Machine - Waits
OK Computer - Radiohead
Life Your Skinny Fists to Heaven Like Antennas - Godspeed You! Black Emperor
Highway to Hell - AC/DC
Odelay - Beck

Superunknown - Soundgarden
Relationship of Command - ATDI

The last two had two or three fillers at the end of each record but were nigh on perfect until then.

Years back, I would have given Iron Butterfly's second album such a score. Though it's influence as proto-heavy metal obviously remains, that their career never took off after that was with good reason. I still like the album but it hasn't aged well except as an artifact of late 60's hard rock much like The Strawberry Alarm Clock and Blue Cheer. Its got its heavy moments but its too awash in plasticized lyrics and a banal psychedelic sound that makes it dated.

So after I found out Primus would be releasing a new full length studio album at the end of this year I decided to brush the dust off of the old Frizzle Fry album. This album displays every side of Les Claypools' bass playing in vintage form. Specifically, the title track, Frizzle Fry displays almost every different aspect of his playing style. Larry Lalonde's guitar playing was on fire. His solo in Harold Of Rocks speaks for it self. All to often he is over shadowed by the great bass presence of Les Claypool. However you need one hell of a guitar player to fallow that bass player and Lalonde is the perfect man for the job. Tim Alexander's drum performance was tight. The perfect rhythm playing to bridge the gap between Claypool and Lalonde. Every song on this album is a favorite of mine and thats why I love this album so much. No filler at all unlike many of the albums to fallow. This was Primus' shining master piece.

Triarii - Piece Heroique: Incredible neoclassical martial industrial full of majestic melodies and grandeur.

Derniere Volonte - Devant Le Miroir: Martial Industrial with incredibly catchy and beautiful pop melodies and great lyrics.

Death In June - But What Ends When The Symbols Shatter: The best neofolk album in my opinion. A masterpice

Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio - Apoka-Lips: One of a kind band mixing apocalyptic folk with industrial and neoclassical music and well-thought lyrics about sexuality and philosophy.

Suicide Commando - Implements Of Hell: The god of dark electro. Accept no imitations.

Sol Invictus - In The Rain: Hauntingly beautiful neofolk.

Arcana - ...The Last Embrace: Neoclassical music of indescribable beauty.

Maybe not quite 100's but these albums would definitely receive high scores from me

Mogwai - The Hawk is Howling
I may not know much about post rock, but dammit this is a good album. It has this atmosphere that is calming, sad, and happy all at once, somehow. I highly recommend it to anyone here.

Wovenhand - Mosaic
The best way I could describe it is dark folk, somewhat simplistic but still says all that it needs to.

...and since they're not on the archives anymore:
Mammatus - Mammatus
Heavy, Doomy, stuff that is right where line between psych rock and doom metal starts to get blurry. Has all the mind warping qualities of psychedelic rock and the massive riffs of doom metal. A winner for sure.

Tears for Fears - Songs from the Big Chair

'80s synth-pop is so much of a guilty pleasure of mine that's not really a guilty pleasure after all. Of course, this was their big breakout album in 1985 and has most of their familiar hits on it, but it's also their defining album in regards to sound and songwriting. The hooks are strong, the lyrics varied from anthemic to cynical to heartfelt and back again, and there's not one song on the entire album worth missing out on. The production is clear as a bell and dynamic, and certainly more progressive in some ways than a lot of pop albums to come after due in no small part to the influence Genesis had on the decade. There are few albums of any genre I can throw on at any time and just sing along (albeit nowhere nearly as good) from beginning to end and thoroughly enjoy myself the entire time. An honest masterpiece that Roland and Curt put everything they had into it.

I think I'm gonna go with Xenomorph's (electronic artist) Qlippoth album. I don't know a lot about electronic music, but I like it. I've heard it described as psytrance, and from what little I know of the genre, I guess that makes sense... point is, it's sick, twisted, brooding, downright evil electronic music at its best. It seems to more or less follow a conceptual story, something about gates to hell, demons swarming the world... I've never quite got the details, if there's a story at all. They're not important. What does matter though, is the atmosphere. A lot of the adjectives I used above are usually given to various death metal albums, but this pretty much tops them all, simply by making you imagining the complete horrors of hell more than any metal album I've ever heard. At the same time, however, it's also got a certain catchiness and texture that leaves an incredibly powerful aftertaste, and makes you itch to hear it again. Especially recommended for dark, rainy nights, but it's really amazing enough to be enjoyed at any time.

Now this album is just amazing! So far the only TfF album I've listened, do they have other great albums or do I have to find out myself :D

Personally, I've been really hooked on Memphis May Fire's new album The Hollow. It may be a part of the post-hardcore/metalcore scene but I find it so fucking great I almost completely quit listening to other similar bands. Just amazing choruses and great songwriting with hooks everywhere which are just so gooooood. If you hate breakdowns well then I don't know for you but if you're open minded I really suggest you to check it out!

As for other non-metal favorites, well, Texas Flood and The Doors' debut are very obvious choices, I also love Rush, so almost half of their albums. Can't go wrong with that one Venetian Snares album either, I can't even remember it's name. Also, the newest Foo Fighters album is fucking great too!

while I wouldn't give any a 100%, I'd give high scores to:

Don Dokken - Up From the Ashes

I like this one better than any Dokken album. this record has everything --fast songs, slow songs, melodic half ballads-- and never gets old to me. John Norum playing on it is an added bonus.

Europe - Out of This World

This album is one of those once in a lifetime albums that a band never does again. Melodic hard rock at it's finest.

HIM - Deep Shadows & Brilliant Highlights

The title is very fitting of this blend of goth rock, alternative, and AOR/hard rock. There are songs of every tempo and mood yet it has amazing flow, and I really can't pick a favorite track. I'd say this is my favorite album, altogether.

Alice Cooper - Trash

This defines huge choruses and is everything I love about the 80's (though it was released in 1990) and the genre as a whole. The production is also something that stands up to today's albums with ease. I know it's not the favorite of many fans of Alice Cooper, but it's mine. There's just something special about it.

Hawthorne Heights - Fragile Future

This is really the only album (though I do like many albums in this genre) in this genre that I hold in such high regard. Everything that this kind of music should do is in this album. It's uplifting and moody yet finds time to rock it out at the right moments. The version I have has 18 tracks, which most of the time spells overlong, but I never skip a single one.

Icon and the Black Roses - s/t

This band could probably be in the archives, but perhaps they are slightly more on the gothic rock side of things. Nevertheless, what we have here is a dreary gothrock album that never sounds cliche. It's melodic and atmospheric, but has that slight aggression when need be. The production is wonderful as well.

Lovex - Divine Insanity

This band (this album in particular) takes everything I love about both goth rock and glam/melodic hard rock and puts it together. It's not too overbearing on either account either. The songs vary from rocking tunes with huge choruses to heartfelt power ballads, not unlike Bon Jovi in their heyday.

Some favorites among many:
(leaving out classical for the sake of space)

Eric Dolphy - Out to Lunch
Just pay attention to one instrument each listen and it can still blow you away.

Charles Mingus - Let My Children Hear Music
Mingus continues flirting with orchestral scope and rhapsodic coloration. At the same time, there's plenty of space and intimacy in the arrangements.

Nurse With Wound - Homotopy to Marie
Remember when industrial meant atmospheric experimental music inspired by krautrock and contemporary classical? That sure was nice.

The Jesus Lizard - Goat, Liar or Down
Hard to choose. They were like the perfect band in this era. They were riff-masters (in a non-metal sense), and Yow's slurred, semi-melodic crack addict vocal style gave the music more creepy noir atmosphere and emotional depth than any trained singing could.

Can - Future Days
They abandoned rock conventions and mastered free-flowing, texture-based music as early as the 70s, but unlike generic prog rock, they remained rhythmically vital and never got dry or unrelateable. Perfect Summer album.

Boredoms - Super Ae
Sounds like it's from another world.

Flipper - Generic
One of the most sardonic, bleak things ever recorded. Nirvana (who were Flipper fans) were babies in diapers in comparison, and most doom metal is too.

Cluster - Sowiesoso
Full of chill proto-techno and technically primitive, but still somehow transportive arabesques. When electronic music had soul.

Duke Ellington - Money Jungle
A moment of intimacy and breathing space from the god of big band. Very free group interaction and frequent dissonance between Ellington and Mingus makes this way more than the bluesy piano trio "blowing session" it could have been.

Yapoos - Dadada ism
This is what pop would be in a perfect world. Morbid but somewhat sweet and nostalgic, musically complex post-punk that mixes elements of Japanese folk and idm.

Faust - IV
More evidence krautrock is one of the most substantial yet unsung movements in rock history. Abstract but really nice, great driving music.

Swans - Public Castration is a Good Idea
Basically what child abuse would sound like if it was music.

Cecil Taylor - Unit Structures
Chromatically dense heart attack music. There's a lot of superfluity in free jazz, but when the results are this rewarding you just gotta sorta accept the whole aesthetic.

I don't know about 100%, but here are a few non-Metal albums that I really dig:

Tesla: The Great Radio Controversy, and Mechanical Resonance

Love/Hate: Blackout in the Red Room

Dokken: Tooth and Nail, Under Lock and Key, and Back for the Attack

Badlands: the S/T original and Voodoo Highway

MSG -- S/T and Built To Destroy.

Prophet -- Cycle of the Moon

Never thought this would pop up in here :D Honestly I think this is one of the most annoying bands in Finland and it was really overplayed in radio back then. My little brother happens to have this album, it's sad to say this one is über-catchy even though it's filled with cliches  their newer songs are just ripoffs off their older songs which makes it even more awful.
