Which stretch did you run? I completed the segment from Springer Mountain in Georgia up to the NOC around Weser Falls, NC a few years back.

I went from Sam's Gap in Mars Hill, NC to the US 19E crossing, near the border between Tennessee and NC. I had planned to go all the way up to Damascus, Virginia, but time wouldn't allow it.

Nice, I'm in that area a lot fishing the northern French Broad and the Toe/Cane watersheds out toward Yellow Mountain. I can see why you cut it short where you did. That stretch approaching the VA border is a bear.

I think I mentioned that my wife got me a Lego Saturn V rocket as a birthday gift - I knew the dimensions of it, but wasn't quite ready for how huge the thing is going to be. Cat included for scale - this is the first stage, and the engines aren't on it yet, so a another couple of inches to go. There are two more stages

Yep - she's realised that it's as giant box, so now I have to keep it with the open-end blocked off, otherwise many attempts at burrowing in happen. I'll have to put the empty box in the loft when it's done, otherwise I'll never see the idiot animal again

Hey it is me in 2017. I actually don't look that bad. A friend of mine who does photography as a hobby wanted to take a picture of me.

The completed Lego Saturn V - just over three feet tall, and it even came with little models of the lander (that fits inside the 3rd Stage), and a capsule with floatation devices. The stages all come appart, have their own little engines, the fairings break off, it's incredibly detailed - and it'd make a good teaching aie too.

Who said birthday presents get boring as you get older :D

Apologies for the greek, here is a stream of pictures to be ontopic:

They used this big nest at the top of a pine tree we have in the garden. Then they emptied it and two falcons (looked them up, Lesser Kestrels apparently) took residence. I'm starting to get an interest in ornithology :P

I just dug up some old photos from April 2019, back in those days where people gathered in large crowds without wearing masks or adhering to social distancing practices. This is from my Junior Prom in High School- and I never got to see my senior prom because the country shut down a few months before it was scheduled to occur. I graduated in June 2020, High School's all behind me and I've long since been over it, I just thought I'd share because why not. I'm on the far left in all the pictures except the bottom one (Also I put spoilers because these images are HUGE, I had to zoom out to 50% on my computer just for it to fit within my screen).

They aren't loading for me. And, erm, thanks for using the spoilers, but you should probably look into resizing images that are that huge (as you described).

Figured Hell's Heroes was a good reason to revive this thread. This is me with James Rivera, who is quite a character but very nice and humble. I wonder how many of you I saw without realizing it.

Those "assassin" photos look really great! You need to be in movies. :)

That first one looks like a movie poster or something.

I dyed my hair recently for the first time. I initially wanted a brighter pink/red color but there wasn't any bleach available so I ended up with this purplish color. I think it turned out real nice nonetheless.
