If I wasn't going to Death to All the day before I'd go to Suffocation at the Webster as well. Just live up near Hartford and make things easier. :P

While we are on the topic of meeting MAers, anyone in Sydney who sees me at a show should come and say hi. I'm generally the short guy, brown haired guy in the ridiculous pants - sometimes with the tall blonde guy with ridiculous pants. Or the blonde lady with ridiculous pants...

...AND MANY MORE!

EDIT: I actually had a dream once that I was at a house party consisting of MA members. I distinctly remember seeing Metantoine in the dream.
It was in a really long house with red walls, and every room was lit with red lights... It was sort of like being on the forum, but IRL.

How many do I need to buy your love? @_@

I am kind of displeased with that Ex. Angel VHS. The subtitles are almost illegible. Still nice to have, though.
I <3 U 2, NECRO! If I ever get myself a studio apartment, you're all welcome to come watch queer art films on my 12" TV!

Also, I have no idea what the .GIF comes from. It looks like P-Funk in some Hanna-Barbera cartoon, but I have no idea, really.

Yeah, pretty sure that's Bootsy himself, especially given the file name.

EDIT: Here it is The part at 2:40 would make a great gif as well.

In other news, I've been discovering a number of craft beer bars in Brisbane that I MUST go to. Also, I actively desire to hear the new Darkthrone and Amorphis albums.

So, today it would've been Fred Rogers' 85th birthday. He was a great man. I never watched his show during my childhood (actually, I don't even know if it was ever broadcasted here in South America), but from what I've seen and read, he was a very admirable person. Anyone here familiar with the guy?

@Strange encounters: I've met two MA denizens in person so far, both Austrians, one encounter a bit more extended than the other, to put it mildly.

Hopefully Derigin and ortab will make good on their promises to visit Austria sometime. :) Alright, they weren't exactly promises, but expressed wishes. Make good on those then!

You say that now, but just wait until your delivering a shipment of ion defusers and out of nowhere a Bird of Prey appears. Don't base the Klingons off of Wharf man, he's a pussy anyways.

Who's shipping Ion Cannon components separately? They should already be mounted up on our gun platforms.

It's Worf, and he's also more culturally Klingon than most Klingons! In fact, in one episode of TNG, he meets a clone of Kahless (founder of the Empire) and in doing so he finds out that much of what he believes about Klingon culture is actually what Kahless believes Klingon culture ought to be.

And with that, I go back to the shadows...

That show still airs on various PBS stations up here in reruns. I've never heard or read a single bad thing about Fred Rogers. Everyone in every age group has very fond memories of him and the show.

Didn't he turn out to be a spy or something and not a clone? I didn't pay much attention to TNG.

That Kahless had some sexy ridges.

Worf is definitely not a pussy, although Martok one-ups him in badass charisma.

There was that one episode where Worf was a total badass, protecting his honour as a bastard child and all.90% of the time though he's a weak excuse for a klingon.

Just because he realizes that the Starfleet and their principles are awesome it doesn't make him a pussy! Worf's a clever badass.

Or not, I dunno

So I went to the rock and roll hall of fame tonight and wow did it suck. There was more trivial shit that has absolutely nothing to do with rock and roll than I ever could have anticipated. Not only that but how the fuck do they have the likes of Run D.M.C. and Public Enemy (i think they were in there too) in the hall but not the likes of Priest or Maiden? They didn't even have Deep Purple or anything like that for fucks sake but they managed to induct Metallica?. And to top it all off they had Beiber posters in the gift shop. Very disappointing overall.

Rather than start a new thread and fully aware of our universal appreciation for any and all things Bolt Thrower, has anyone heard the "Full Dynamic Range" reissue of Realm of Chaos? If so, how does it stack up to the original and/or the reissue Earache did a few years ago? I'm skeptical that this is just Earache being gimmicky again but I want to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Fuck Earache, that's all I know.

Seriously, they already reissued the album without the band's permission, as well as sell the master tape of ...For Victory on eBay. Don't give them your money, buy used at least.

Hey, if you want to see Worf being a badass, watch DS9 instead of TNG. He's a lot more uptight than a regular Klingon, but he's deadly with a Bat'leth, maybe the best.

Wasn't DS9 like the worst of the Star Trek shows? It's hard to remember because I was a kid when it last aired here. I think it was pretty boring though.

Anyone listen to the How to Destroy Angels full-length yet? I think it is fucking brilliant. It paints a very cold, sparse portrait of our future. The instrumentation is fascinating: I'd say this album is as equally focused on texture and timbre as it is on melody. I've never been a big Reznor fan, but this is awesome.

I had a listen but I really didn't like it. Pity, really. The EP was kinda mixed anyway though, with two great tracks, two good ones, and two very weak ones. Not a patch on NIN for me.

I always liked DS9 best, because after the second season or so, everything generally kept to a followable plot.
