Yahtzee more or less destroyed him performance- and lyric-wise, after this awesome recitation Jim was just kinda there with his rather... conventional verses. But I do not mind his style in Jimquisition. Nothing like a good rant and he's rather skillfull at giving gaming companies the shit they deserve.

Why am I having so much trouble finding someone to take my extra Death ticket? Every one I ask says no cause it's Sunday night. Man up people it's fucking Death for crying out loud.

I know I feel bad dangling something so awesome in front of you but just out of reach. I'm a bad bad man, but I just don't want the ticket to go to waste, you know? If any body else wants it just let me know. Just incase it wasn't clear its a free ticket.

We as a culture should really bully and ridicule obese people more. The current level is clearly not enough, as they keep getting fatter and fatter despite our efforts to make them miserable. How dare they live unhealthy in a visible and unaesthetic way! Plus they give 'Murica a bad rep. Round 'em up I say! Only that way we'll get rid of them. And afterwards we'll celebrate our victory over obesity with a feast of true American processed, fat and sugar based, physically addictive food as is advertised and glorified everywhere.

Shut up, fatty.

The opener was REALLY awesome though; a lot better than I expected them to be. Hell, the lead guitarist gets props alone for wearing a Zeke shirt.

Who opened? Zeke is probably my favorite band ever so always interested to hear about bands who rep that shit.

These guys:

Some kind of hardcore punk band, but they were excellent live.

That's odd, I find that tall clothing is either made for teeny tiny framed folks like you, or fat giants. Length 34-36 pants can't be found above waist size 36-38 up until 48 or so, and it's a bit tough to fit in when you're closer to the smaller ones than the top, but couldn't possibly fit into the smaller ones due to having a big frame. Band shirts are often worse, an XL is way too short and way too wide, and I'm not exactly thin, but XL shirts seem to be sized for people who are 5'8" and 250lbs.

My pants are 32x30 generally. Sometimes 32x34, but thats a little big; I like tight clothing. Thats why shopping for shirts is hard; I want stuff to be relatively tight on my body but its all quite loose. I was ecstatic to find a hoodie that fit to my puny arms. Its probably one of my favorite articles of clothing (and I had to go to fucking Jamaica to find it, go figure).

When I have on shorts I don't wear underwear. I have no choice with jeans however because jeans with no underwear means a LOT of sweating and chafing for me.

That's fucking huge. Certainly not difficult to believe 60-70 people perished from that. It has certainly been a rough week, between the bombings in Boston and Iraq and now this. Eh.

Damn. News sources said 100s were injured. Not sure about the deaths.

Regarding clothing, I used to wear 36 sized pants but after losing a bit a weight, I'm down to around 34. The problem I face is that, I can't wear my older 34 sized pants because the thighs are still fuckin' tight. Weight fluctuations leads to unnecessary spending on clothing and alterations. Luckily, I don't have a problem with band tees, L fits me just fine albeit a little loose but it works.

Some of the other posts were clearly rather hateful in character, as if morbid obesity wasn't just an unpleasant sight and a problem for the person in question but an outright offense against humanity. But, well, hate is a popular sport I guess.

On a side note: Thanks to whoever added the emoticon that I posted a while ago! I only just noticed.

Whilethe portion of my tax that goes to healthcare is supporting a person who's suffering from diabetes or severe heart problems because they couldn't control their own eating habits (or hell, couldn't just go for a damn friggin' run once in a while) due to their own sheer laziness then yes I will be pissed.

EDIT: Just to make the point clear - I'm talking about people who are overweight/obese for reasons within their control.

Could be the majority of obese people have a MMD, suffer anxiety or are troubled about something (maybe they have problems socialising, or are suffering from a bereavement) and so they comfort eat, they then get bullied/teased about their weight and retreat to be on their own to - comfort eat.
If society showed more compassion they maybe wouldn't get to a stage where, because of their spiralling weight, they can no longer exercise (for it to be any serious benefit) or want to go out to help themselves.

mindshadow pretty much hit it right on the head. A lot of it has nothing (or almost nothing) to do with lazy slobness but other, more pressing issues. There is a YouTuber I watch whose channel is boogie2988. I'm sure at least someone on here is familiar with him. Anyway, while he plays a comedic character in most videos, he also has some serious videos in which he discusses his weight and childhood. He had a rough one, a pretty miserable childhood, and the only comfort in his early life was food. So he ate to take the pain away, not unlike some people drink to take pain away or to get their minds off of things. Then they hit school, get bullied and eat more. Eventually it leads into their adult years and the rest is history.

There would undoubtedly be some people who became obese because they are indeed lazy slobs, but I find it disgusting to think less of everyone who is obese due to the ignorant belief that they're all lazy slobs. It very much is one of those "Don't judge a book by its cover" issues.

Perhaps, but the stance most "social justice warriors" take is like a sort of fat pride. I think we can agree that obesity is nothing to be proud of. It's a medical problem--an illness--at best.

Then again, some of these types are also of the opinion that schizophrenia and such aren't illnesses either.

Authorities are still not sure about the total deaths. Somewhere between 5 and 15, according to that news piece.

I can certainly relate to that. While I'm not obese by any means, oftentimes I just eat out of boredom and to feel better rather than because of plain old hunger. If my metabolism wasn't of the faster kind or whatever I'd probably have weight problems in no time as well. Also I mostly steer clear of junk food. But Junk food is cheap, so that's another aspect. It's part of the reason why obesity is mainly a lower-middle-class problem nowadays.

Actually, most junk food isn't even that cheap, but it's omnipresent on television, today's opium for the low-income masses.

Despite what everyone seems to think, teaching is a challenging and demanding profession. My wife is a teacher and most of the time when she comes she is exhausted. Good thing for holidays and summers off, though. It's kind of like my job, only with holidays and summers off. That and I just deal with the adult versions of the bad kids.

Being a teacher sounds like a fucking tough job. I'd rather have to tame a bunch starved, angry lions than deal with school age children and teens.
