I only ordered once from them. After about a month of waiting for my small order (2 CDs), I attempted to contact them about the whereabouts of my order. (I live 5 hours away, it should have only taken 3-5 days from them shipping out to receive my order) There was no response, but I would still email them once per week until after the forth week they said that "we usually don't resend orders, but we will this time. If the previous shipment arrives, please send it back".
At this point I thought that this was fair.

After receiving the 'resent' package, it only contained one CD, the cash for the other, plus my original, hand-written letter/order form that I sent with my payment through the mail.

Why was my original letter sent with the second package, but not the first?
I was not ripped off, but why was I not informed that I would not be receiving the second CD that I ordered (yet still available on their website)?
Why was the communication lacking?
The first package has never arrived after over one year.

This order was a test to see if NHR could be trusted. I have never ordered from them again.

Coprse Clothing (UK/USA?): This is a t-shirt place, despite them having an office in the US all the packs come from the UK. Almost everything on their site isn't in stock right away, as they have to get it from someplace else, despite it saying so. Sent one half of my order two weeks after I paid for it. Then sent me an e-mail two weeks later saying the other shirt would be shipped, two weeks later same e-mail had to eventually ask for a refund

NHR in Canada is a decent distro. I've only ordered from them once, and it was actually a preorder, but they stayed on top of notifying me of any changes to my order. That was in February, I believe.

Strange that you'd have such a bad experience with them. I'll take my chances and try to order from them again some time soon to see if they're really as terrible as you claim.


Dark Horizon Records may have been mentioned already, but I'll mention them again. A+ distro, great selection (They have a good amount of imported material, despite being based in Indiana), good communication. Shipping takes a while though.


I've had a very bad experience with Frostscald Records (http://www.frostscald.com/catalog/). I didn't buy anything from them, but their website was crawling with trojans, which made their way into my PC and almost eradicated all of my files (I had twenty gigabytes of raw, unmixed tracks for a personal project). I still have some that commandeer my browser and redirect me. Supposedly it's been fixed, but if they neglect their site like that it makes me wonder what else they're neglecting.

There is a ripoff on eGay who's username is "Death213" BUT who's real identity is not known at this time.

Whoever it is, they are IMPERSONATING a legit person in the scene, Jim Mroz, who has some distros in the U.S.

I take back my previous accusations of Jim Mroz, he is NOT a ripoff, someone is posing as him.

I have gotten official confirmation about this, however who is behind that account (Death213) is still not known.

At this point I would advise everyone to proceed with extreme caution to the Ebay store Soundofchaos ( http://myworld.ebay.ca/soundofchaos/ ). It has now been 46 days since my 100 dollar package was marked as shipped and the best they can give me so far is "Well it was sent to the right address". I have sent them another message.... but definitely take extreme caution if you order from them.

Has anyone heard of or dealt with a Thailand based distro called Hellhouse 666 Productions?

I want a few items from there but it seems a bit dubious as the only way to pay for the items is by sending the cash through the post and thats A.) Not very safe at all and B.) Doesn't give me any peace of mind as the distro could just pocket the cash and not send me the items. I'm not saying they will do that but it's a thought that has crossed my mind.
