Doesn't give me any peace of mind as the distro could just pocket the cash and not send me the items. I'm not saying they will do that but it's a thought that has crossed my mind.

Has anyone else dealt with this distro? If so, what are your thoughts/opinions?

Thanks.

I traded with him once everything went fine. Paypal accounts are just now starting to exist in Thailand, I've mailed money there before with no problems

Did a good order with Prime Cuts records the other week, ordered 10cds arrived in about a week all in good condition. Good communication as well would recommend.
Just placed an order with Obsidian Records today so hopefully that all does well.

Dyson at Prime Cuts is a great guy.

I've done a order with Obsidian Records before. It went well.

Hello everyone, I have a few questions about Hells Headbangers as I wish to do a huge order from them (from $150-200) and I want to make sure it will go as planned and I won't just get ripped off 150 bucks.

1) How is there shipping to Canada/ Approx. time estimate?

2) Do they ship CDs in jewel cases or just with inserts.

3) do they pak items well? (especially a mixed order of CDs, Tapes, and Vinyl)

4) Are they Reliable/trustworthy! This is especially important!!!

5) Are their tapes the real deal or are they pirated?

Thanks in advance, cheers

Yeah man, HHR is absolutely one of the best places you can order from. I just checked, because I was curious, & I have placed 13 orders with them so far. They were all 100% great.

HELLS HEADBANGERS is the best distro out there. Everything about this distro is professional and they know their metal very well!! I have ordered from them many many times with no problems ever. The packaging is tight, the delivery time is extremely fast. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Six days to Norway? C'mon...that's bush league. Six hours to Norway...that's big time, right there. :)

HHR is a great distro/label. Chase is very professional, which makes things easier whether you are a buyer or a fellow label/distro owner who wishes to do trades. Zero problems.

Dark Horizon is VERY unprofessional! He is not a rip-off but the service is very bad. It took a week for him to confirm my order. I made a paypal payment right after receiving the confirmation but it took around 2 months before he shipped the CD's. When I finally received the CD's he had replaced one of them with another version than the ordered one - furthermore it was a used copy in such a bad condition that I had to throw it away. If you wish for a smooth transaction I strongly recommend that you avoid this amateur.

I've always had a good experience with Dark Horizon. Everything there is a cheap as Hell and it's all good quality. It's run by one person as far as I understand, so it does take him quite awhile to ship.

Unique Leader (whom I did many deals with in the past and all went well) has actually been giving me trouble.

About a month and a half ago I made a large order (about 250$ worth) and received my confirmation email, was charged for it and all. Since then I emailed them several times. They replied once saying they needed me to list more alternatives (listed 6 CD's but all the Cd's I ordered were 'in stock'). So I sent them 6 more CD's as alternatives to what they had 'in stock'. They have not replied to my last 3 emails. I just emailed them again. I'm not saying this is a bad response yet because as stated, I have done alot of business with them in the past and all went well. but it's getting to the point where I figured I'd mention it here.

Tour de Garde : Nice Label, Run by OT from Akitsa, a lot of good punkish/Noise black metal and a huge Tape section. He ship pretty fast, and NORMALLY he pack well, even if I already received a LP packed like shit, He literally put the LP alone in a box a bit to big for the record with no protection at all. It was still in good shape, but it could have been worst. This was the only time he did this, and he always been very cool dealing with.

Sepulchral Productions : Good label, ship fast, good communication. I had some problems with one of my order and he replied to me like if I was a total idiot.

Necroharmonic maybe? They're all reissues, but the label trades in nothing but old school DM, probably not the biggest range in the world, but pretty much all of it is good.

Firebox out of Finland are a good label. Some CDs are expensive, but you can find a decent selection of stuff for only a few euros each. Shipping is really cheap too. They also threw in some free stuff like a patch, a keychain, guitar picks and two movies.

Recommended!

Sadly for whatever reason their actual website is blocked in Australia, so while I can look at their listings through a proxy, I can't actually order anything through there, so I have to stick to their ebay page (Necrosexul).

Be warned though, while the guy who runs it is a great bloke who tries his best, but he can get behind on orders and stuff. He'll always try to make it up to you and is really good to deal with when you do need to communicate. Plus, if he fucks up, you get shitloads of free stuff.

So, I decided to say fuck it and order from Heavy Metal Online (UK)

Gotta give the place a +. Took a little for the item to ship, but all I ordered (two hoods and a T shirt) was great quality stuff. Fairly cheap prices too.

+ for Relapse (no surprise there) It's almost like they ship your items before you actually order...

Just had a good transaction with a guy named Scott who's having a black metal CD sale. Here's the page with his list of sale items: http://lastcdsbeforedoomsday.webs.com/

I found the link on the Pale Horse Recordings site. Andrew at PHR also backs this guy, so you shouldn't have any worries. He still has some nice first pressings available, so don't hesitate to contact him!

Hello all! I think most people here probably own CDs rom Relapse records but I was wondering if they are reliable to buy from. Their shipping prices seem very cheap and CD prices seem normal. Has anyone ever ordered from them? Is their stuff packaged well? Anyone know the approx shipping time to Canada? and was the stuff you got damaged (jewel case doesnt matter to me)

Thank you!

I've only ordered from Relapse twice, but both experiences were great. All items shipped promptly and arrived within a week or so. Heck, one of the LPs wasn't even meant to see release for another two weeks; I was surprised to see it arrive so early. Everything was packaged perfectly.

Not sure how long shipping to Canada would take, but I can't imagine it being too much longer than shipping within the U.S. Order with confidence, Relapse knows what they're doing.

They have a good store. My first order went great. Second time i ordered, they asked me for some reason to scan my Mastercard and send them a photo of it ! which seemed kind of stupid. But that was like two years ago, so I doubt that they're still asking Canadian/non-US customers to do that.

My order was shipped to Ottawa in like two weeks I think, so they're very reliable and fast.

How fast do they ship? Also, do the ship CDs with jewel cases outside of Finland?

Thanks man, I'm about 6hrs North of you (up by Sudbury) aha! That's weird that they would ask for a scan. How did they notify you about the scan? Email?
