I would like to submit a band appeal regarding the band Mondernte from Iceland, so they can be added to the archives. They have three physical releases, two of which were distributed through the German BM label AbArt Corruption.

https://abartcorruption.bigcartel.com/p ... of-ecstasy

On Discogs (see link above) they are classified as Black Metal, and they have collaborated with some other BM artists.
Their full-length and demo contain black metal tracks (clearly featuring screams, tremolo picking, ...) next to some folk-ish elements.
Demo: https://mondernte.bandcamp.com/album/r-demo
Album: https://mondernte.bandcamp.com/album/sa ... rage-album

Their recent concept EP has a lot of synth elements but deals with satanic topics and also features a tremolo-picking and screaming passage in the sixth song. EP: https://mondernte.bandcamp.com/album/ca ... ecstasy-ep

Oh, that band was originally mistakenly submitted as German. Prolly because their label is from Germany. But yeah, this is more folk/ambient than metal, so this won't do.

The band is German, but located in Iceland. Also, they are not on a label and have so far only done self-releases, to at least clear this information up.

I don't exactly see how the first two releases are more ambient than metal, as there are not even any synths or electronic instruments used.
I would just like to point to early Ulver or other folk black metal albums from the 90s that also by no means contain blast-beat-and-screaming-only tracks.

Noted.

Yes, it's more folk/ambient than metal. Our criteria for the band to be acceptable are metal riffs and they need to be a predominant aspect of the band's music. In this case, the riffs just aren't there. Guitars serve more as a backdrop for folk/ambient and they aren't really playing the riffs. Early Ulver clearly discernible metal riffs as audible on Bergtatt, here there are barely any riffs to be heard. Sorry but this won't get whitelisted.
