I was trying to add a local band to me, Coast is Clear. Out of Maryland, USA. But that came up as a "black listed" band. Not sure of the reasoning, or if it's a different band in reference to the black list. Just trying to submit this band myself.

It's your band, sorry, I tried to submit it recently.

Sorry, it's been listened to a couple of times and there aren't enough of the kind of riffs that the site looks for (some nu-metal influences a bit too strong).

It is my band. Just wanted to see if it was really mine or another with the name. But understandable if it's not the style y'all are looking for.

I was listening to the band earlier and I think this deserves some reconsideration. Been going through a lot of southern metal bands lately and the 2 singles here don't remind me of nu metal, the riffs have a lot more in common with groove metal. I think this should be acceptable, sounds about on par with most Southern Metal bands I've checked out: https://cicsomd.bandcamp.com/music

Sounds a lot like their other band, Crow Hunter, which is on here.

There is a whole EP that's more nu-metal/-core than actual metal, so the singles aren't really a valid ground for whitelisting here even if they were the most clear-cut cases of metal (which those two clearly aren't). So wait for either another EP or a full-length before bringing them up again.

Of course there is. Why would I say there is if there wasn't?
But here it is with a verified checkmark no less: https://open.spotify.com/artist/7osYaMVfFZXGrnY5kMytgX

Thanks. I was just curious and wanted to check it out. I thought the singles were the only releases because all I could find at the time was the bandcamp link. After hearing it, I see what you mean and yeah now I see why this band is blacklisted.
