This band was rejected yesterday but I don't comprehend why. They play symphonic metal in the vein of Arduinna's Dream or In Divinia. It has the riffs, the intensity.

If it isn't still enough to see what this band is about, they've also uploaded a few other songs on their YT channel. Although these aren't deemed valid releases, they'll be featured on their album, which pretty much eludicates us about what they are intending to play, musically-wise: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCT--hA ... 5pt-u3ycIg

The valid singles in question are:

I was okay with it but wouldn't object if it got rejected. The other mod felt that the singles don't give a clear enough picture of the band's sound hence the rejection and the message. So the random videos on YouTube won't make any difference. With that said, why is it so difficult for you to simply wait for the album to be released? I mean, there was a Corpsegrinder thing, now this... And in the new digital singles rule update it's clearly stated that singles are more of an exception than a norm. And judging by some of your actions, I can easily conclude that you are more than aware of the fact that to get accepted the band usually needs to have a fully unambiguously metal album. So I don't get why are you going through all these efforts instead of just patiently waiting for the album to be released and taking it from there. Come on man, you can do better than this.

I thought that the videos on Youtube would give an additional perspective over the band's overall sound and what they are thriving to execute, since they're a part of the band's career, even though they weren't valid releases by MA standards. By this, I don't want to object moderators' authority, but I think that it wouldn't hurt to have another opinion. There was a single case of a band that was rejected, that I appealed then and was deemed approvable, and the discography was exactly the same during all these phases (I don't remember clearly which band it was, it was a power metal band, of that I'm quite sure), so, I could guess that those situations could happen once again, since it's normal for people to commit mistakes or inaccuracies and that users can also appeal is they feel it's a worthy case.

I understand the feedback and I'll wait for the album, thanks.

Since the album is out, it certainly won't hurt to have another look. Whitelisted.
