Hello everybody,

I´ve tried to add a funeral doom metal band from Germany Sequestered Doom (https://sequestereddoom.bandcamp.com/), but apperentely somebody already have done this and the band was blacklisted.

I´ve been just wondering what is the reason and if it can be added in the future?

Does the music contain too many dark ambient elements, or are the recordings too raw?

The band was blacklisted around march of this year for being primarily ambient. It's too close in time for a re-evaluation of the band's sole album, but when a new album pops up, you can bring them back up for re-evaluation.

That's a re-release of a demo from 2009. There's a lot of weird guitar work there that is ambigious in regards of metalness and the production is pretty rough too, so I don't think it makes a significant cut here, since it's barely 10 minutes of music. Wait for something more substancial (new album, long EP, ...) that is unambigiously metal and qualifies as a valid release.

Also according to comments on bandcamp page people judge it to be doom metal / raw drone doom metal.

The debut was already judged and deemed not metal enough. A re-release doesn't make it more metal.

We also don't care what other people call it. Otherwise a band like Motörhead would get banned for playing "Rock'n'Roll".
