While I can understand the bands earlier work not fitting the archives standards, the last two static-x albums sound quite different to their previous releases.

Still sounds not pedominantly metal, it sounds more like a mallcore version of Nine Inch Nails. Let's see, what thinks a mod or 2 mods of this appeal.

As somebody very familiar with the band, they definitely got less nu-metal as time went on and picked up some occasional thrash metal influences ("No Submission" is a good example), but they were still predominantly an industrial rock/nu-metal band and not really based around metal riffs. I feel pretty confident saying they don't make the cut.
