I know that Parkway Drive is one of the more hardcore-based metalcore bands that are probably influenced more by hardcore punk than metal in the Australian scene. However, they've had incorporated some melodies that I think are considered more metal than '-core', per se. Open to be proven wrong.

A word of advice, you might want to include song samples of stuff you think is acceptable by this band so our mods can judge.

Oh, sure, will do!

I believe that their latest release mostly consists of melodic metalcore or the use of proper metallic riffage. The implied album, of course, is called Reverence, and even the band stated how they're taking metalcore to the next step, which I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing, but I think this is the one album that the moderators should consider looking into.

That being said, here are some examples of their old work (of course I'm still up to be proven wrong by these examples):

Perhaps more melodic:

I don't think the band is acceptable at all, especially the later stuff which infuses Alternative Metal elements. I guess the only one I'd say has the best breakdown to melodic riff ratio is Horizons, which has probably been reviewed ample times but still far from this site's standards.

Yeah, it's practically their worst album, but I figured maybe it had the most metal essence...

For more predominately metal albums I believe are the 2012 record, Atlas, and the 2015 record, Ire. But the last comment here suggested that the band infused some alternative metal elements that ended up on the aforementioned albums.

Ire is very much alternative metal/metalcore; it was part of that terrible alternative metal popularity revival in the mid-2010s with bands like King 810 and Prison. A close "third" album to Horizons would be Atlas (Deep Blue is basically the same album, too), but it's full of punk melodies. The only two I think tinker in borderline (with riffs here and there) is Horizons and Killing With A Smile, neither of which I would expect to be acceptable.

I just may be biased because I hate Ire; Petrus might know more about it than I do, but I stand by Horizons being the closest (yet not nearly metallic enough).

The band's discography up to their third album from 2010, Deep Blue (which in other places is considered deathcore) are metalcore in both the hardcore aspect and the melodic aspect. The music beyond that era, or as Bonziepsycho stated, the alternative metal pop' revival are in Atlas, Ire, and Reverence. And so my question would be if these qualifications meet the site's standards?

So I'm pretty sure the band's early stuff doesn't mean the requirement because it's clearly more "-core" than other metalcore bands on the site.

It might be excessive, but the search function for finding old reviews of their specific albums isn't helpful, so it may just be time to put the final nail in the coffin and have an updated and last mod review of their stuff since this has been brought up (and ultimately won't be brought up again).

Erosion of Humanity said "No." in regards to the album Reverance, their most recent album as of now.

Zodijackyl responded in regards to Ire.

There are a couple of posts after Atlas, and one user threw quite a tizzy after Deep Blue and got pwned by Napero.

I found this EP of 14 tracks called "Don't Close Your Eyes", which was the first first release of the band, released in June 2004:

I listened to the first song off of that EP (after the intro) and it sounds like it could be acceptable. Sounds like Unearth to me. Of course it's possible that the mods have gone over the EP already and deemed it not metal enough. Also, 14 songs is definitely larger than most EPs and the songs are about average length, so if the mods do think this is acceptable, it should be enough to add them.

This is the only release that I like of the band, to be honest.

The bands appeals forum are just to appeal and ask questions about the sames appeals bro, not to post suggestions and opinions. So, Paganiusl is right.

Sounds closer to metal, but probably not enough to turn this around.
