Greetings
This band and another one I submitted got rejected because I didn't provide with good download links. I was asked to re-upload them to a Dropbox thing so that's what I've done. What am I supposed to do now? Re-submit it? Do I need to create a post for the other band?

Thanks

If we reject asking for more samples/proof/etc., just add whatever's missing and resubmit. This forum should only be used when the band in question is blacklisted.

I see, okay, thanks. Sorry, but how do I know if the band has actually been blacklisted? When I see the orange warning I can't tell the difference, to be honest.

You mean how can you tell if a band has been blacklisted when it's rejected?

The following rejection reasons typically do not result in a blacklisting:
  • Insufficient proof that an album is predominantly metal (i.e. we need more samples)
  • The album in consideration hasn't been released yet
  • No proof of an album being released

The following rejection reasons typically result in a blacklist entry:
  • None of the band's releases brought into consideration by the submitter is predominantly metal
  • A release that is invalid from our perspective of what constitutes a "release" (e.g. a tape being limited to 3 copies, or a digital-only demo with unprofessional presentation/quality)
  • Repeatedly submitting a rejected band without making any changes to the submission (or multiple people all submitting an unacceptable band, e.g. a high-profile band being submitted before the release date by several users)
  • Faking information

You could also manually check by clicking "add a band" and testing the name/country combo, if you really wanted. If an orange message pops up on that screen, the band is blacklisted.

Greetings
This band was rejected (after being given this initial green mark) but I honestly they should be re-evaluated based on this album:
https://open.spotify.com/album/5nPqBzqyCQ0pogYrdtJf4p

When it was rejected, I was told they were more of a punk band but this doesn't sound like punk to me at all and it's too heavy for me to call it "hard rock". I know this is relatively recent blacklisting but I've been listening to this record and I truly believe it must have been disregarded, which happens. It sounds a lot like heavy/doom metal; except for songs 12 and 13, which are bonus tracks not included in the original release of the album.

Thanks

Could someone please remove the green check mark until someone has been able to listen to the album?

Thanks

It's neither heavy nor doom, sounds pretty solidly based in RAC/punk.

Hmm, the drumming is a bit punk-influenced but it sounded like that to me. Well, okay, thanks.
