https://skeletonatx.bandcamp.com/album/pyramid-of-skull

When I tried to start a submission for this band, I got a message saying that there was a band of the same name from the US that has been blacklisted. I wanted to check if it was the same band, and if so, when the blacklisting occurred. The band is from Austin, TX despite what their bandcamp location says, by the way.

The blacklist says it's a punk band and what I'm hearing does indeed sound predominantly like that.

I'm submitting a band called Skeleton from Austin, Texas. Apparently a band called Skeleton from the United State is black listed. Seeing as this is a new band, I hope they can be white listed/un-black listed from this site. This band is under 20BuckSpin and is releasing their first LP on July 10, 2020. They incorporate elements of black metal, doom metal, heavy metal, death metal, hardcore, and punk. They are certainly metal enough to be here. The album is being released on all formats: Digital, Cassette, CD, and Vinyl.

One problem I've noticed on this site is certain bands not being allowed on here until their album is physically released. I believe a pre-order with the tracklisting is enough information to go on. I've seen bands on here with no releases so this baffles me, but I digress.

Check these links, I hope we can work something out. Thank you for your time. Be sure to read the description on the YouTube video and check them out on 20BuckSpins site. I'm learning from my previous failed submission of Liquid Death and I'm trying to be as thorough as possible :)

If anything can they at least be accepted when the album is released (July 10, 2020). If I keep it in my band submissions and then appeal it on that day, could it be accepted?

Bands have to have a valid release to be added to the site, so no, it will not be added until the release is actually out. Pre orders do not count. As to your other question, there is always proof provided st time of submission, if there is nothing in the discography itself it will be in the additional notes. This happens when there isn't sufficient information to add the release, i.e. a date, or some other information. But there is always proof it was actually released.

Well here's the thing, Liquid Death got accepted and their album is still open for pre-order. It isn't out yet but got accepted after another person provided more evidence. I'm not entirely sure where the line is drawn on this site.

The digital version isn't on pre-order, therefore the band is valid.

$0.99 dang I should buy it. Thanks for clearing this up for me. If I submit it on the day of release it should be accepted. I'll try and remember to resubmit it that day.

I recently asked about a band named Skeleton - also from Austin. Does anyone know if it's the same band, or just a coincidence?

Same band - their Facebook page links to the Bandcamp link in your post and also has the cover art for the full-length mentioned in this post.

Okay, that makes sense. I saw them about a year ago open up for Devil Master. I picked up their last E.P. (that is more their punk style), and talked to the drummer/vocalist. He told me that they were preparing a release that was much more metal than their past output. When I watched them live, their sound was much more in the Black Metal/Punk vein, such as in the song linked above. We'll have to wait to be sure once it comes out, but I feel pretty confident that their new album will be a full-on metal release.

Today is the day that Skeleton's first album is available for order. So it is an official release and I believe that it is in fact metal enough to be allowed. Here are the links for you kind folk. It says pre-order but says it releases "July 10, 2020" and today is July 10, 2020 so technically it is available for order they just haven't changed the text on 20 Buck Spins site just yet, but the Bandcamp order will most likely work. They will most likely change it in a few hours or in the morning. If anything don't deny this just wait until morning if you're reading this already. I'd hate to have this shot down because they haven't changed it yet, because today is the day of the release.

and here is my page of it earlier... Hopefully they will be "white listed". Last time I attempted to add them unaware of the rules and how to go about bands with similar names and what to do if they share a name with a blacklisted band.

Right now "The queue is currently full." How long does it take for it to open up? I'll try to keep an eye on it. Thanks

Thanks for accepting it, just one more thing. There are three LP colors. I don't know the catalog ID yet. Would it be okay for me to add them anyway and wait for someone to add the ID when it is found out?

And you should only add one entry for all colours and list the colors in the notes. Aside from that it's fine to leave the catalog iD empty
