Here's an interesting band I came across. Their first and only album came out in 1983, but it sounds 5 years behind its time. Similar to White Boy and the Average Rat Band, early Rush, and even a bit Sabbathy at times. I could see why it'd be deemed more hard rock than metal, but I think it's worth a look...
