I was listening to "Scene of the Crime" split and Manitou caught my attention. Turns up that I have tried to submit them back in 2013 and they were rejected for being "rock".
I know they probably won't be accepted, but they sound as fairly typical early NWOBHM/hard rock hybrid, and some of the bands with similar sound were accepted since then. To me, they don't sound softer than the Tyrant, which is present on the MA and is also on this LP.

hmmm, even so, sounds firmly rock-based to me. I agree with the original blacklisting.
