A few years back, I tried submitting the Christian Heavy Metal band Seraiah, particularly on the basis of their 1990 album
Carnival World and their 1988 demo. Four mods judged the album as having undeniably pure Heavy Metal tracks, but the preponderance of AOR/Acoustic Rock made them take a step back from accepting them.
I petition for their inclusion on the basis of those Metal tracks featured on
Carnival World. When taken together, "Carnival World", "Devastating Daydream", "Hear Their Cry", "Rise Up", "You Know" and "Fallen Heart" account for 29m:51s of pure unadulterated Metal on a 10 track album 49m:11s in length. Depending on how you interpret "The Nature of Things" which blends Metal with Acoustic Rock, those seven tracks could all amount to 34m:20s of Metal. How is that not predominantly Metal, especially when we have included other close calls in the past?
We feature
Troopers whose inclusion as recent as 2019 was based on an album titled
Mein Kopf dem Henker! and Oi! band
The Blood with an EP titled
Se parare nex. Both bands' additions are based solely on one release in their respective discographies with Metal content that's cut very close to the bone. In other words, those releases are barely Metal. In The Blood's case, they didn't even release an LP that's predominantly Metal in an overwhelmingly Punk discography. Keep in mind I support their inclusions because Metal is Metal even if a band that plays wholly different music decides to release a Metal album for whatever reason, but in my humble opinion, Seraiah's Metal content on
Carnival World far exceeds both of those bands' respective Metal releases and probably others whose inclusion was predicated on one release with marginally Metal music.
Thank you all for taking the time to go over this and hope you may reconsider including them onto the archives.
