Hello All
I tried to submit an entry for "The Dark Hour Video Magazine." This was a death/black metal video show from 1995 to 1999 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and expanded to St. Cloud, Minnesota from the period of 1996-1999. This show was a critical piece of underground history. We've all seen the books written by the guys at Decibel about the early days of death metal...this show should have been included in the early days topic.
This show reviewed demos, cds, underground magazines and also played all of the videos that MTV wouldn't fucking touch at the time. The show interviewed bands such as Entombed, Morbid Angel, Monstrosity, Immolation, Internal Bleeding, Grave, Deranged, Cradle of Filth, Drogheda, TON, and local Minneapolis acts as well. We also interviewed Nothingface, Korn, and even the mighty Dokken (from the 80's). Yes...it was cheesy and on a shoestring budget, but it was metal. That's all there is to it.
There were 69 episodes throughout it's history. There are a few on YouTube right now and I have every single episode in my archive. We have included a couple of links to some of the YouTube episodes that are up right now.
Please reconsider us as we were a huge part of the underground tape trading network for a ton of up and coming bands when death and black metal was in it's infancy.
Thank you for your consideration.
Mahoney
