Before anyone says anything, this might not be the same AA as the famous UK band. Basically, Ben Bruce formed an incarnation of AA in the United Arab Emirates with a completely different lineup than the UK lineup. This AA released an EP and an album before splitting up. Bruce moved to the UK and formed the new AA with an entirely new lineup and used the same name.

Ben Bruce apparently does not consider this AA to be the same as the world famous AA, but the mods here might, so despite the fact that AA from the UAE isn't blacklisted, I'm not going to submit unless the mods approve since they may see this as the same band, and I don't want to circumvent the blacklist.

Anyways, the EP this AA might be acceptable, and the album might be as well. (Note: yes it is still very bad and painful to listen to but I'm hearing more riffs here then what the UK AA would play).

Like I said, I will warn you that this is painful to listen to, so good luck to the brave person that is going to listen to it.

2007 album (this video is missing a track and an interlude):

Nvm this is the same link as the previous one.

The song that's missing from the above link:

The other song that's missing is an interlude, so it doesn't really matter.

I listened to all the material presented and while it's definitely a mix of hardcore and metal, being metalcore, the hardcore definitely prevails in the songwriting and riffs. I think the rest of the mod team would agree. Thanks for finding this, but I think this iteration of the band should be blacklisted as well.

Alright, well, I guess it was worth a shot. I do think it's more metal than the world famous UK incarnation, but that doesn't matter, since it's not enough.

Btw, if hypothetically it was acceptable, would you guys consider it to be the same band as the UK band? Ben Bruce doesn't, so I'm not sure if you guys would think that.

It doesn't matter that much, but hypothetically I'd say it depends on whether the band considered moving from the UAE to the UK to be a "split" at the time. We would have to see sources from the band produced around that time to verify for sure.

They definitely moved from the UAE to the UK but not to be a split exactly, at least based on this archived screenshot:

Also appears in their music player, the album that I posted.

Well that answers the question lol. I know it doesn't matter much but I asked because there may be similar cases with other bands that could be added in the future.

Also, "Frontman James murray has a voice As I Lay Dying would be jealous of" lmao if I was drinking something right now I would've spit it out in laughter.

Ben Bruce has said in interviews that it is not the same band. The band existed and broke up in Dubai. When he moved back to England, he started a new band with the same name.

So I suppose that it has to be registered as a different band.
