Hi, I submitted the band ALAE NOCTIS but it was rejected for the reason "Sorry man, it's catchy but it's rock"
I'm aware that the first 2 albums from the band are Hard rock and Industrial. The band suffered several style changes in those years.
But!! in the last albums, I consider their music as an hybrid closer to Metal than any other style, and REALLY influenced by Judas Priest / Iron Maiden.
Please, don't take in mind their first 2 albums, which contain especially hard rock songs... (I'm sorry I submitted those albums first but I wanted to respect chronological order).
Instead, check these videos:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnPwbVn5g6I
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPyMHHTn5xw
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oMxJgL2LFA

Doesn't it sound like old Iron Maiden and Judas priest? Of course keeping their "Synth" unique style :)

Many thanks for your consideration.

Also metal bros: a woman in that band? why if that conflicts with their image it's their prerogative to kick her out

Hi,

- speaking of the albums uploaded on Youtube, yes. But nowadays it's heavy/speed metal as you can see in the links I posted.
However, if it's still rejected, I'll have to wait until the band releases upload the next record on bandcamp. Then I'll have the irrefutable evidence.

Cheers.

Nothing on Bandcamp is metal either. Else it would've been accepted.

I'm sorry I expressed myself badly.
I'm aware that those albums on Bandcamp are mainly rock (despite a few songs like https://alaenoctis.bandcamp.com/track/thunder-race or https://alaenoctis.bandcamp.com/track/spoils-of-crime are classic metal); but what I meant is I'll resign myself to not have the band included in M-A until the new albums are uploaded on Youtube/Bandcamp. I've spoken with our Manager (I finally confess, I play in this band...) and hopefully these albums will be uploaded on the upcoming weeks :)

Thank you for taking time to listen to the band songs and also for replying this thread. I'll be back soon :)

-Miguel Ungo.
